I'm more curious about where guys like Floyd and Epenesa go and for how much to see what we can get comp pick wise...
Looks like Davis to the Jags on a 3 year deal but we don't know the $$$ yet.
38M + 11M signing + incentives to take it up to 50M.
Presumably it's a bit backloaded as well

What exactly is wrong with that, though? I mean, I see nothing wrong with wanting to have sex when your horny if you have someone to do it with. It would be stupid to have a wife or gf that's down to do it with you and you're fighting an urge for no reason lol. Doesn't make sense but that's just me. This isn't cigarettes or alcohol. It's not like it's bad for you
Because it overtakes your life. you struggle to maintain partnerships, you likely struggle to maintain friendships, because your compulsion is driving your behavior to fullfill whatever sexual fantasy you're having - or some alternative to it.
wanna goto the bar and hang man?
Nah Imma sit home and play with myself
This is the basics of ALL addiction. The compulsion to fulfill that behavior is the driving force, and sacrifices everything else.
It's great that not only is Jaylon getting therapy for it, but open about talking about it

It's not about the horniness, it's about the compulsion to act on it.
I mean it's like craving desert. Who doesn't like desert? A sugar addict will have desert multiple times a day, because of the compulsion that's controlling him. -

How do you correct a sexual addiction? Like, do you just stop your whole life? Lol
The same way you treat any other addiction, by working on converting it from an overwhelming need to a controllable desire

I hadn't quite connected that Chad Hall is now down in Jax. Makes sense on why Davis wanted to go there

13M APY
Depending on the structure that is absolutely something the Bills could have swung.
They didn't value him that high

What's the Douglas salary conversion?
looks like they restructured 3.5M of his base salary over 4 years so it saves 2.6M of cap spave

And also need. FA DEs are expensive AF - with no guarantee you actually upgrade Von

It kind of feels like McD has some new found confidence in their ability to coach up and play rookies/inexperienced players.
All the defensive injuries lead to a bunch of players getting a baptism by fire and, for the most part, they filled in admirably. Maybe a small silver lining to last season.
Nice to see them go full 'reset' and pull off the band-aid.
Yea, I can see the team being even better honestly:
Offense:
OL: You hope Edwards and McGovern settle into their new roles well, Torrance & Brown both should be getting better - it should be on of the better units in the league. Need to find some decent depth at guard and center
RB: Cook is fine as premier back, need to sign/draft some specialist behind him, and a developmental guy who can step in and take 15-20 carries just in case (he screams 4-5th round pick to me)
TE: need to find a pure blocking TE, and I'd entertain trades for Knox
WR: Need to add a pair of deep threats, 1 in the draft and 1 in FA. The Bills actually are quite good/borderline elite when it comes to short and intermediate routes, and if they do add 2 legit deep threats the Offense is better than last seasons
Defense:
Here things are real dicey.
DT: You have Oliver, and you desperately need to resign Jones to start at 1T. Beyond that you're likely looking at 3 more players who can be on the 54, and probably another 1T for the PS
DE: You have your 2 starts, and if Von is even semi back you're good with that. Would be great to re-sign AJE, but regardless you need 3 more dudes or so for thr 54 either through FA or Draft
LB: You can pretty much stand pat here, but you want to find some guys for the PS who can step up. Think about an eventual replacement for Milano as well
CB: You roll with the 3 you have now, and add another depth guy, while also finding someone who can back up Taron Johnson in the slot
Safety: This position is a mess
All in all you have real hope for the front 7, and especially love the potential of the LB room, if they can add some speed at safety that will help out the corners quite a bit.

Better to do it in any single season

Not to mention your Tre, Poyer, Hyde and Morse could all be sitting there still in May.
Overall 26 years old.
played center in college full time
logged 100 snaps at Center in the NFL
I have NO issue with McGovern at Center
Me neither, but just wanted to add some context to him playing center at Penn State

Yeah I am fine with McGovern going back to Center a position he played in PS.
To be clear, he only did this his Sophomore year. As a freshman and junior he played guard

Looking at the Bills roster, they only have 48 active players
QB:
54(1): Allen
Camp/PS (1): Buechele
RB:
54(1): Cook
Camp/PS (1): Darrynton Evans
WR:
54(3): Diggs, Shakir, Shorter
Camp/PS (3): KJ Hamler, Isabella, Tyrell Shavers, Bryan Thompson
TE:
54(2): Kincaid, Knox
Camp/PS(2): Tre McKitty, Zach Davidson
T:
54(5) : Van Denmark, Brown, Anderson, Dawkins, Doyle
Camp/PS(1): Gouraige
G:
54(2): Edwards, Torrance
C :
54(1): McGovern
DE:
54(2): Von, Rousseau
Camp/PS(1): Kinglsey Jonathan
DT:
54(1): Oliver
Camp/PS(2): Ankou, Cline
LB:
54(4): Milano, Bernard, Williams, Spector
CB:
54(4): Johnson, Douglas, Elam, Benford
Camp/PS(2): Brown, Ingram
S:
54(1): Damar Hamlin
Camp/PS(1): Kendall Williamson
P:
54(1): Martin
Camp/PS(1): Haack
K:
54 (1): Bass
LS:
54(1): Reid Ferguson
By my Count the Bills have 30 players they'll use on their 54 on the roster currently, and they need to get to 90 for camp.
Beane is gonna earn his salary this off season
-
So for every cut starter there's someone on the roster who can compete for a starter's job:
Poyer - Hamlin (A Box safety)
Morse - McGovern (who will be replace by Edwards)
White - Kair Elam or Douglas
Tell ya what, I think the Bills will be using those 11 picks.

Someone has to explain how Von survives these cuts
You lose more cap space by cutting him then keeping him, plus started to look spry at the end of the season so some hope of a bounce back

This is against an elite defense and Kalil Shakir as his best WR and literally no deep threat on the field.
Josh doesn't need to do anything more than he's already doing. It's the rest of the team that needs to get better.
I'm not far from concluding that Josh is a better QB than Mahomes

Agreed, and my preferred WR2 route tree is not a guy who runs deep downfield on every play trying to ‘take the top off’ the defense. Give me a taller kid who can make the contested catch and get us a first down. And then let’s see if an offseason under Brady’s system will get Josh to find the open guy….because as we’ve all seen they’re there on virtually every single play.
People got to get away from WR1 vs 2 vs 3 thinking - at least upfront.
This is Justin Jefferson against the Bills last year.
Ja'Marr Chase
And Cooper Kupp.
All 3 have one common factor - they're WR1 of their offenses. Outside of that, they all have hugely different approaches in how they're deployed.
So when thinking about this Bills, I like to think about what they have vs what they don't have, and then figuring out who my favorite target is based on how well a WR does in his preferred route tree.
The Bills have like 3 guys who can run that Cooper Kupp and Ja'Marr Chase route tree. When Diggs is healthy he can do it as well as those dudes. What the Bills DON'T have, is someone who run a variety of intermediate to deep routes at a reasonable level and speed
You can call that person a Wr1 or 2, it doesn't matter. But that's the sizable gap in the bills offense that needs solving. They tried doing it with bargain basement speedsters, but that's not gonna cut it

Minimum 2 if Gabe isn't resigned, and Shorter doesn't blow up in the off season. He can be a deep ball specialist where he runs the DK Metcalf route tree, but there's a massive way to go there. The Bills need to get a legit WR this off season

Davis is going to be too expensive.
Not if you extend him out 5-6 years and stack his back end years, and give him a really solid signing bonus.
You can absolutely fit him in the cap for like 6-8M hit this upcoming season

He was what he was. We just haven't found a suitable Beasley replacement. I know Kincaid can be but we need it in WR form too for our offense to truly be elite again.
Do what I said above - resign Davis, draft a deep threat in R1, and you have both Diggs and Shakir along with Kincaid running those routes Beasley was running and that’s a win

No McKenzie was our speed/gadget guy 4th WR. We wanted him to be more when honestly he wasn't.
Think they got pretty good value out of him considering he was a 5th round pick

So an interesting thought with JJ. Vikes will have like 100M+ in cap space next season, what's stopping them from giving JJ a 6 year deal where year 1 pays him like 60M
