I ain't giving up Ed Oliver. I'd give up a 1st and a 4th is it comes to it

The Bills looked like a pantheon level team until injuries caught up with the defense and the league caught on that the Bills OLine just wasn't there and Dorsey didn't have the answers to that (not that we should have expected him to. Having an average OLine is fine. Having a bad OLine is a fatal flaw usually) beyond asking Josh to save to them

We knew this was happening, and it's mostly a good thing. The Bills needed tweaks and health, not an overhaul. Give me healthy Von, White, Hyde & Poyer, someone fast and raw to play the Will so Milano can play the Mike, and I'd still argue the Bills may have the best D in the AFCE. On offense, give me upgrade at LG (check) and RT, and a better slot, and they have the best Offense in the AFCE

Haven't read too much, but Poyer at 33 at Strong Safety isn't much of a problem. Almost all the problems he had this past season was because when they lost Hyde, he switched to FS, and they moved Damar Hamlin to SS. With Hyde back, that's basically 2 new starters - and both upgrades.

The man is a political enigma. He going to irritate everyone

And without a better slot, teams can still put more resources on both him and Diggs. The Bills need a deadly weapon out of the slot, because it means the Bills can exploit any defense that tries to erase the perimeter and post areas, and when the Bills OLine gets overwhelmed Allen/Dorsey has a ready made answer. That simply wasn't available to Dorsey this past season, and the Bengals REALLY exploited it. You get someone like Jeudy - someone who's got elite RR, quickness and after the catch ability - and the Bengals aren't nearly as effective in the pas rush or the run D, because they need to pay more attention to that U10 yard zone, which keeps not just the Linebackers home, but can also mean changing how teams rush their DEs

Sun + 0% State Income tax. Essentially what he said he wanted right. He also doesn't necessarily have a starting job there with Brandon Jones coming back from an October ACL tear, which probably puts him on the field before Halloween, so I'm not sure this would be the route the Phins would logically take

Unfortunately, Josh Allen may have priced them out of adding FA over a 3rd round pick. That's the thing with having a franchise QB getting paid like one...hitting on your top 100 picks is a must, those guys have to be able to start at some point in their rookie deals

I saw a rookie getting his feet wet. The Bills defense is one of the highest demanding defenses from LBs.

Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract

He's an MVP caliber QB at 25 and no one is even talking to him, allegedly? That's not normal. They're making an object lesson of him -

I don't know why he isn't wanting an agent. But I can't sit here and claim maturity issues over it when all the evidence I have from the prior 4 years tells me the opposite. I also have no problem with these guys trying to maximize their own value and income. So many of these guys come from poor or troubles backgrounds, and every extra million is that much more generational wealth so that his kids and grandkids won't have to go through what he and his family did growing up. Also think he should be cheered for not playing injured, when there's a huge risk for his long term viability. We ask enough of these players, we don't need to be asking that of them -

There's a huge collusion whiff coming from LJ and the Owners that has nothing to do with race, and everything to do with that insanely stupid contract the Browns paid for Watson. The NFL Owners believe building on that contract would break the Salary Cap as its currently structured - they're probably not wrong either - but if they are collectively black balling Lamar because they don't want to pay any QB more than what Watson got, that's really unfair to LJ, who's done nothing but earn being a top 5 QB, after being told he should be a WR coming into the draft. Like, LJ is the kind of person you WANT being the face of the league. Young, Charismatic, the local population absolutely loves him as a human being, philanthropic minded, personable, funny, and a truly special athlete and QB. They're picking on the wrong dude here. He's essentially the opposite of Jay Cutler -

Also one of the highest rated QBs from inside the pocket last season without a real NFL WR Corps. Dude is elite. Also, where are the maturity issues? Everything I've read about him is that he is one of the best dudes in the league as a star -
Thing is, if Long is the LB, then the Bills would have to go to a real 4-3 because they wouldn't have two backers who can go sideline to sideline and they have to play Long as much as they'd be paying him, and then add another slot to go Dime as your base pass package, because they would only have 1 backer who's reliable in coverage If anything, I'd rather just toss Bernard into the fire as the Will then pay for someone like Long
