  1. He's going to have a really good market because there's no more guarenteed mooney left, just the void years for his already paid bonus which stays with Seattle. He's 28 so has a few prime years left so I could see a 3rd rounder (and he'd want the team to extend him)
  2. HE just needs to get healthy
  3. Actually really enjoying what the Bears are doing. They just added both Jonah Jackson and Joe Thuney, two excellent guards. they have a hopefully improving Darnell Wright at RT, and presumably will add a LT via draft. Really solid foundation they're building on O
  4. Also, they got a little bit lucky + still reaping the rewards of drafting well The titans didn't value AJ Brown and this was his first extension year with the Eagles and his cap hit was 11M. The Giants didn't value Saquon and the Eagles got him at a bit of a bargain (his cap hit was 3.5M) They got a career year out of Mekhi Becton which absolutely no one would have predicted Josh Sweat was drafted by the Eagles in 2018, never did enough to earn on a big time extension, got a 1 year contract this season and had a career year. Zach Baun was a journey pickup who turned in all-pro season They drafted guys like Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, and Milton Williams, not to mention Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. Sure it's good cap management, but there;s a lot of great drafting + luck
  5. Now there's a creative solution. Trade Cook for a 2nd. Trade a 5th for ETN
  6. Which comes with a huge signing bonus for that to be effective, but that's actually what the Eagles and Beane do now.
  7. I think getting Curtis Samuel healthy (he was injured towards the end of camp) would go a long ways. But the Bills will add explosiveness on the outside.
  8. The same team that's likely going to lose a stud pass rusher and key DT depth piece
  9. This is Cook's first eligible extension year, but he's got a year left before the franchise tag comes into play My guess is if Cook doesn't get an extension he holds out
  10. All the power to him and I hope someome pays him. He seems like a good dude and I'm all for NFL players getting their worth from these billionair owners. I just don't want that going against the Bills cap.
  11. I'll add just because you can doesn't mean you should
  12. Bills can't have a 45M-50M QB and a 15M RB. That's just reality. If it came down to it. I'd rather trade cook for a 2nd or late 1st, resign Ty Johnson, and draft a 4th/5th round RB and start Davis. And then use all them high draft picks to reinvigorate the talent on D
  13. No one is going to give him $15M in the open market. Unless it's a team that;s not contending this year, has Cap to burn, and front load him now so he's got a smaller cap hit when they think they can contend
  14. Ain't no other Saquon Barkley's out there. I love Cook but he's probably two tiers below Barkley
  15. He also straight up talks about evolving his defense and being visonary to attack modern offenses
  16. That's not at all what he said, he was saying that people got the job wrong of the new defensive assistant, who would be working with the DLine and not adding man stuff to the DBs
  17. You realize McDermott won 9 games and broke the drought with Tyrod freakin Taylor? And won 10 games with 2nd year Josh? I don’t know why Bills fans insist on doing this stuff
  18. We’ll have more than enough cap space for a big splash if beane chooses to do so
  19. I do think it started a larger conversation around hazing in sports, which in turn led to more attention on hazing in general in places such as fraternities. The rare W for the record everything and post it online world we live in is that it’s really hard to get away with the hazing that kids and organizations used to ritualize just 10-15 years ago He’s rationalizing being a victim. Have you ever talked to a sexual assault survivor? They switch among a lot of emotional states - often including self hatred
  20. Martin did not use the word bullying. His mother did. The incident started when Martin checked himself into a hospital, the dolphins asked why, and Martin turned over what he considered to be absuive text messages and voice mails, which were damning enough that the dolphins decided to suspect Incognito while the NFL launched an independent investigation through Ted Wells. Martin now says he wishes he didn’t stay silent when his mother used the word bullying and for cooperating with the Wells investigation- likely because he hates that he’s first associated with being a victim rather than someone who fought off his attacker. This very much runs parallel to the world of sexual assault. Many women regret speaking up against their assaulters because they hate having their identity become that of someone who’s been assaulted - a victim. It’s why abuse is traumatic. The abuse doesn’t stop with the incident - instead the trauma last a life time and it evolves.
  21. Incognito was suspended for doing the actions unveiled in the internal report which were the exact actions he was accused of doing by Martin. Whether you want to call it bullying or not is up to you - it’s a judgmental phrase. His factual actions are not up for debate EDIT This started with Martin checking himself into a hospital for mental health reasons, and then turning over material to dolphins which included voice mails and text messages of things that included racist (Martin is half black and Incognito routinely called him the N-Word) and misogynistic stuff that included his mother. That is what got Incognito suspended, not the word bullying. We need to stop sane washing Incognitos actions here because in Martins personal opinion it wasn’t bullying
  22. He didn’t lie In the same article Martin said what incognito did was wrong.
  23. my last locker room was in 1998 and my football team went undefeated for the first time in program history and we made the district playoffs. Great great team. yes we joked about each others moms and ***** like. We NEVER would degrade each other like Incognito and his boys would do. Ask Josh Allen what he thinks about that. Yes Martin participated some in that, but it’s because he felt he was forced to, in order to fit in and be accepted. That’s part of being bullied. I despise the concept of “being soft” because we show emotion as humans and we don’t like being attacked in personal ways. Putting down others in order to make yourself feel good is a sign of extreme lack of self confidence. Allowing others to bully you in order to be seen as part of the group is also a sign of insecurity. In my mind both Incognito and Martin both showed a ton of insecurity, but the difference is that Incognito acted out in a wholly malignant manner while Martin acted out reactively to that
  24. Don’t think Martin is garbage. But rather someone who has his own mental health issues to work through, with a high IQ that just makes things even more chaotic
