I’m going to be curious about the game plan on Sunday. Bills were super aggressive against the Ravens. But against the Jets I think the bills force Fields to beat them from the pocket. Drop 7. Controlled rush designed to keep him in the pocket. Layered coverage on Wilson. Gap penetration up the middle. Bills linebackers are going to have to be good on Sunday (bad against the Ravens) to control the run game. I wouldn’t blitz fields until he tells me he can dice up a zone from the pocket

Jets were clocking Steeler defensive lineman in the run game. Weird time to be alive here I’m worried about the Jets offense but not their defense

Milano was worse on Sunday than he was at the end of the season in 2024. Ravens do a lot of incredible stuff, but the Bills DLine was up for it. Milano, Bernard and Rapp all had subpar games and you gotta have your off ball defenders on it against the Ravens. I actually think it was one of the better schemed games we've game. They flummoxed the Ravens offense with varying pressures, they got gap penetration, they backers on position to flow to the runners, and they had varied blitzes, rarely left open runners deep (killed the Bills on crossers of course). But when your off ball defenders just flail like that, not much you can do scheme wise That was a beatifully designed screen. Just like you hope when you draw it up.

I think I'm just gonna embrace the chaos of this bills team, and tell myself to not care about defense, and start RBs in fantasy football who play the Bills. Feel like I have fantasy gold on my hands this week as I have booth Breece Hall and Justin Fields. Let's get that 35 - 24 win y'all

They don’t need to copy anything. They offer their own, creative run attack that fits their personnel. Joey Bosa and GR are going to get tested again on the edges to maintain contain against Justin Fields, and the Jets have 3 runners that are capable, and Breece Hall has some tremendous traits. they also have a pretty good power oline even without Vera-Tucker. None of those pieces are as good as the Ravens but they’re plenty capable. However the real danger is Garett Wilson and Benford and Strong are going to have to bring their ***** with them

That’s not actually true. Yes Baltimore won its share of oline battles but so so did Buffalo. And a lot of the Ravens successful runs came about while the DTackles did their jobs, but the 2nd level didn’t for various reasons. Behind that they seemed to pressure Lamar quite often on drop backs. As for the thread title? You wait. This was Cole’s first start in his career. He’s an incredible athlete. Now give the coaches a chance to do their work. He may or may not turn out to be what the bills need, but you cant short circuit the process. You gotta be patient The Ravens are a really unique challenge for any defense.

The Houston come back took an entire half and by the 4th quarter you kinda felt what was gonna happen. The Lamar Jackson houdini play and Derrick Henry TD happened in the 4th quarter

Potential doesn't always turn out, but there's absolutely a pretty high ceiling back there As a Knicks fan I despise you for picking this image (and hope Reggie Millers catches the clap). one things I'll say...the interior DLine I thought did its job today for the most part in getting vertical and penetrating gaps, and the upgrades were visible, and the last few drives they Bills DLine was wholesale winning their matchups. They also consistently got pressure on Jackson when he dropped back. That gets lost in the ridiculous running attack the Ravens come at you with....but the Bills invested in the DLine a variety of ways, and in a lot of ways it showed tonight. One of those QBs is not like the other two.

Strong got caught in the blender on the long Zay Flowers catch and run off the mesh, that's about all I can remember from him
