ah this is where I disagree because I think Hairston needs to get functionally stronger before he should become an every down starter. He's going to be a liability in the run game, he's going to struggle taking on WR blockers....he just needs to get stronger, and more durability that goes with it. Ideally, he's playing both inside/out (he's excellent in Zone) on passing downs.

We also have never had 4 corners the caliber of Benford, Johnson, Hairston (projected) and theoretically Jaire Alexander.

That's called competition, and they have the practice squad for the rooks

There are no safeties available who would be a definite upgrade over our starters. Cant say that about Jaire who would walk into a starting spot across Benford Sub packages. You’d see all 4 of Hairston, Benford, Alexander and Johnson on occasion. and you could also argue that Hairston is better off in nickel and dime packages as he gets his play strength up

He's not gonna be here until the week before the season kicks off. It's the nature of the business.

I think the Bills will be better on defense, and likely be a bit more aggressive in their coverage schemes - they seemed to be pretty intentional about adding speed and explosiveness. Because of that I think the Bills will be intentional about being more explosive and pass oriented on offense. For all the points they scored, the Bills were one of the higher run teams in the league, and inspite of all those explosive plays, often ended up gridning first downs to get down field. I think McDermott looked at his defensive personell last season and asked the offense to do more to protect that defense. I don't think that's gonna be neccesary this season

But I'm also the guy who lives in California and bought a plane ticket and booked a hotel in downtown Buffalo in case the Bills played in the SB, so I could be surrounded by Bills fans on that evening.

I find the joy in the journey, while the destination is the bonus. The drought taught me that just competing for the top spot is what I really want. I value the 18 weeks of joy and sadness that comes from being a fan of a team that has legitimate aspirations for the end of season tournament. The worst thing I can feel as a sports fan isn’t pain or sadness - it’s apathy. That’s just my personal view point. I’m someone who would rather be consistently good year in year out, than randomly be great and then years of crap. I also think it’s harder to be consistently good as well, especially in the salary cap era. That to me is a true testament or greatness

He ain’t hurting anyone and everything there looks consensual. If they wanna party, let em party (of course maybe from the Pats POV he should be either rehabbing or practice and those are likely the only two good options at this moment in time when OTAs are going on)

Low key excited about Elijah Moore. He looked really talented early in his career

Kait turned 24 in May, which meant he was 19 when the Bills drafted him (I think maybe 20), at 6-1 with long arms and elite speed. Yes he played almost exclusively man at Florida but at those measurable and age, and drafting at 23…you take the elite physical traits, note his man coverage ability, and think you can turn him into a well rounded corner. He absolutely flashed at times. But by the time the chiefs game rolled around it was clear he lost the trait that corners need more than any other trait - confidence. It was a good bet considering the measurables but it just didn’t work out. We’ll see if the cowboys can find a specific role for him that works out for him.
