  1. Jackson, i was wondering if you were on here. now i know
  2. The common theme among superbowl caliber franchises is a game changing player, someone who has the ability to turn the game in your favor whether its with a TD pass, run interception forced fumble or whatever. Polamalu is a perfect example, Ravens game joe flacco fumble. Someone to make a big time play and does so on a consistent basis. The Bills have some good players but i think they lack that type of player. hopefully someone we have now develops into that but its what the team needs to take it to that level of competition. Go Bills.
  3. Im pretty sure he got injured for a game earlier this season which somehow has effected voting. Bottom line is he has not won the big games when he needed to, has turned the ball over more than the other QB's, and is not a part of a top 25 team(not his fault). Earlier in the year people were talking about him as the next heisman winner but week after week he faded. The other QB's have done more for their teams to deserve the honor, comeback wins and such.
  4. It looks like when he took the shot, it was just a pull. Releases have triggers, looks like he just lets go of the pull.
  5. I dont know if someone posted this before but this is exactly what Jared Allen and the rest of the vikings did to our offensive line.
  6. I turned around and started jumping once i saw it was a perfect ball and went to high five my buddies, and one said he dropped the ball. I sat down and proceeded to state how we were now going to lose the game. just another bills game giveaway added to the list.
  7. ilemi.com worked for me last week, same idea as atdhe.net
  8. Did not see it, but does anyone know somewhere you can watch old 30 for 30 movies? i want to see the one about the U, my friends say it's the best one
  9. This would make my day. Git-R'-Done Buddy
  10. I'm living in Oswego, about an hour north of Syracuse, does that mean i will have to go to a bar for the game?? i was looking forward to rolling out of bed with a hangover and watching the Bills on my couch while recovering. It would be tragic if i would have to go to the bar at 1...
  11. He is still young yet has very valuable game time experience. Roids or not those sack numbers are scary and even if he produces half as much, even a quater as much, he is an upgrade to what we already have. way more athletic too. Sign him and if he doesn't work out then drop him at the end of the year, i don't see any reason we wouldn't take a shot at him. There is still a lot of football left in him.
  12. This will definately help, bring him in and see if he can develop over the next year. we need as much competition at LB as possible.
  13. I think reversing the culture of losing is the most important thing, but regardless we don't necessarily need the number 1 pick, it's obvious we will recieve a top 5 pick which is still good enough to get an immediate impact player. One player does not make the team drastically better but a team attitude can make a everyone much better. I really believe that attitude left over from the DJ era is fading. We need a strong voice on defense though to inspire these players more.
  14. I seriously question your football knowledge. Regardless of whether or nots its spiller, or joe mcgilacutty, or terrence sore knee mcgee, or leodis mckelvin, your KR is put back there because they have a chance to give you the best field position possible. It is the fastest way to get yards. you could have a guy run a 4.5 but if he can get the ball to the 50 then let him. By the way with the ball in your offenses hands at the 20 with 58 seconds left, your WRs still have to run routes and they have to be targeted to the outside due to the lack of timeouts we had. which is even more time to wait for a route to develop or to get to the LOS after we don't get out of bounds. A kick return is the most efficient way to gain a lot of yardage in a small amount of time.
  15. I literally can't take you seriously, you really think giving the offense the ball is more time effective than a KR to the 50? the only way for that to possibly happen is if he is stretching the field from left to right rather than forward. and still if he does that chances are its going to be an even bigger run back which could put us in scoring position immediately. IF it took 10 seconds for him to fumble the ball it was because there was a scrum trying to recover it and that's what ate up the clock, not him running it out. The fastest man on this team running the ball 100 yards in a straight line should take about 10 seconds, now throw in the football aspect and i'm being generous here, 20 seconds tops. how do you figure it takes him 30 seconds to run 30 yards? your statement is asinine.
  16. I think you are refering to Whitner not Poz, Poz had a pass break up that he couldn't intercept but made a great play on. Whitner however dropped the for sure pick 6. I agree with Spiller returning the ball in that situation because thats what he does best but i would also preach ball security. he just wasn't as aware as he should have been.
  17. Someone in another thread mentioned Fitzpatricks QB ratings over the last 6 games identifying how he was turning or has turned the corner. Being an Engineer, i thought it would be interesting to trend his QB ratings since his first start in an effort to see if he has turned the corner. Take it for what its worth but i see continual improvement in his time with the Bills but he does tend to have a handful of erratic games. The graph is attached to this thread, i'll let you decided if he has truly turned the corner. That being said i was happy with how he commanded the offense, do i still think we need a QB of the future? yes. Although i don't think we need to address that in the first round. Bring in someone to learn under Fitz and take care of an attrocious defense.
  18. I agree that it was a culmination of the turnovers rather than the one in OT that cost us the game. Of course most posters would like to use Nelson as a scapegoat. The bills always do this to me and for once i thought to myself that i won't get tricked into believing they would come back and win, well i fell for it again. take 2 turnovers away around halftime and we would have easily won this game in regulation.
  19. We didn't hear much about the Line yesterday which is always a good thing. I was amazed at how well they were able to execute the blitz pickups. There were so many times when i was like oh Sh**, Fitz is about to get killed and then all of a sudden the ball was out of his hands.
  20. I always wondered why people questioned his arm strength, every game i've watched him he just slings the ball. He made some really tight throws and put the ball in spots no other QB would dare to. Accuracy can run astray at times as we saw a few times yesterday. Personally i would like to draft Defense in the first next year and get a QB in the second round. Reason being is i don't believe too many QB's will be taken in the first and we would still be able to pick up a good prospect with number 33 overall. also we need some kind of pass rush so opposing offenses don't hang 30+ on us every game.
  21. I Don't remember MPL but you do remind me of Benjamin Barker, he would say outlandish things like you as well and the amount he posts seems right in line with your posts. not to mention he left or got booted around the same time you joined.
  22. I don't think our problem is at QB, Garcia would be doing the same thing Fitz is doing. Yes we need lineman but right now our O-Line is serviceable. The whole front 7 on defense need to be revamped. True 3-4 DE's and another OLB. This is what really needs to be addressed in the first 3 rounds. We need another FA signing to help the transition like Dwan Edwards, who is playing better than most everyone in that front 7. We will bring in a FA OT, IMO, because i think they need to spend most of there draft picks upgrading an absolutely abysmal defense. We couldn't accomplish all these needs in one year and that was obvious but i feel next year with the right pieces we can be ready to compete again, at least another 7-9 season.
  23. I'm thinking we can get 2 impact players this year, QB/LB in that order for this draft 1 and 33. Hopefully this years LB class is as deep as it was last year. Personally i think the front 7 on Defense need a major overhaul and we can compete in games next year.
