Allen should start with #1's
Wayne Cubed replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea it was a completely blown play, poor decision but I bet he doesn't do that again. -
Yea, rewatching the first 2 drives all of Petermans completions, except the scramble throw to KB and the int(where he was forced to read the field), he hits the back of his drop and the balls coming out. He knows where's he is going pre snap. He didn't push the ball up the field, there were no throws that traveled in the air over 15 yards.

I definitely didn't like the pick but I thought he looked the part last night. I also went and watched Baker Mayfield, you know what I saw? A lot of the same things Allen did. Mayfield made 2 really bad decisions and he had some bad ball placement on receivers that were wide open. He seemed to be throwing low. -

What was suspect about his decision making? There were 2 miscommunications, who’s fault those were we have no idea, and a bad decisions on 4th down. The rest of the throws weren’t bad decisions at all. Yup. -
Do we really need another debate on Tyrod?

I do remember that now that you mention it ? -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season Game 1

Yea I thought that as well and he didn't really have a whole lot of pressure, and that will change. I don't recall him sucking that badly in preseason, I thought I remembered him being pretty steady away and the ball was coming out quick and to a target, pretty much what we saw last night. That's why there were calls for him to start but maybe I'm misremembering? -

Come on, your bias is completely showing in this post. The odd highlight throw? Do you think every QB makes every throw 'hightlight type'? The clue is in the name, it's a highlight type throw BECAUSE it's made on occasion. Otherwise they'd just be called, 'a throw'. He had 4 very, very good throws('hightlight type'), had 2 standard throws on comebacks and 3 throws that showed he does have touch on his short passes, a knock on him coming out. Those were his completions. He also threw 2 long balls that were very well thrown and if it wasn't Foster, they might have actually been caught. He had a couple drops, mind you he put the ball where it needed to be on those throws and Foster(surprise, surprise) and Proehl dropped them. Those, IMO, are his positive throws. Saying that he had 2 balls he definitely shouldn't have thrown, the long one to Foster was 1 yard out of bounds, tried to force two in and had a pass broken up. Also, on 2 of his throws it's tough to tell where the miscommunication was, did Allen throw to the wrong spot or did the WR run a wrong route? We don't know. Anyways those are his poor throws. You know what we didn't see? The inaccuracies that were talked about coming out. No one's overlooking what he did poorly, it just wasn't nearly as bad as you make it sound. -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season Game 1
Wayne Cubed replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To be fair to Peterman he looked good. But, to me, he was doing the things we know he can do well. He got the ball out quick and on time. What he didn't do was show he can do the things he couldn't last year, stretch the field and make those longer throw. I thought McCarron had no problem showing he can do that. I also thought he wasn't putting a lot of mustard on his throws, which in preseason is fine as there is more space and separation. Guys will be able to jump those balls when the regular season starts. To me he looks a lot like he did last preseason. -
Helped themselves/Hurt themselves Preseason Game 1

I think you are mistaking him for someone, pretty sure he had 1 target and caught that for 2 yards. -

Um Logan Thomas was a blocking machine last night, throwing guys around and was thrown to once... -
Out of his 19 passes, there were 2 that he shouldn't have thrown, a couple drops and 2 missed long balls. There were about 4 really, really impressive throws. The other 5 completions were short and showed touch. The biggest take away, didn't see the inaccuracy that seemed to be his problem in college. All in all I came away impressed by what he did considering the talent level around him and what he was given to work with.

Bills trade with Browns for Corey Coleman

It’s a joke from a previous thread, try to keep up. -

So, loser then? Could have sworn the Bills were trying to dump losers... -

I mean the Browns drafted Coleman and then gave him: Kizer RGIII McCown Kessler As his QBs, one could argue the QB was never there, nevermind the mental bit. -

So does anyone happen to know if Coleman is a "loser"? Thought the Bills were dumping losers. -

I like this trade a lot, low risk. Man those targets are awful... just awful. Don't know how you could determine much from Coleman when you can't even get close to a reasonable pass. -
Can we afford to carry 3 active QB’s all season?
Wayne Cubed replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's an interesting question. As a "vet" what does he actually bring? He has 1 year in the league and is learning a brand new offense, just like the other 2 guys. So he doesn't really bring experience with the system and he doesn't bring years of experience and prep that McCarron does. Once the season starts, if he were the #2 and Allen the #3, he'd also be taking the limited amount of practice reps away from Allen, where Allen could be learning. I'd say he's more likely to be cut than starting. -

Been saying I think they end up only keep 2 on the 53 and possibly getting Peterman to the PS. Does anyone think if they get down to their 3rd QB the Bills can't go dumpster diving and find someone serviceable? Hell the Bills were able to trade Chris White for Thad Lewis on the eve of the 2013 season, drop him and stash him on the PS, and he came in and went 2-3, which for a 3rd QB, is not bad. Is it important to the have 3 QBs in the QB room? Sure but I don't think you need to have all 3 on the active roster. The only reason the Bills had 3 last year is the 3rd QB had a big role on ST. I think it's entirely possible to get Peterman onto the PS.
