  1. The link is safe for work, with a not safe for work link included in the article. http://www.huffingto...l?utm_hp_ref=uk And yes, I would, even if it's Bruce's daughter.
  2. The next closest bid was $1.6 billion and that was by a group of wealthy individuals including Oprah. To me his bid of $2 billion screams of over bidding and flexing his financial muscles, just to insure/prove he would be the top bid.
  3. And sign Clowney too!
  4. No ones started a thread for Levitre yet and it's his second year in a row? He had offseason hip surgery. http://www.tennessean.com/story/titansinsider/2014/05/27/titans-nfl-tennessee-levitre-nashville/9637105/ I agree with Kelly, players have loads of clean up procedures in the offseason. I put a sample list of just some of the big name players that did this offseason in the Kiko/Mario thread.
  5. Joe Buscaglia @JoeBuscaglia · 4m HB Ronnie Wingo is working with the trainer on a bike and DT Marcell Dareus is working in the weight room. #Bills
  6. Just google NFL offseason surgeries, here's a list of notable players: Dashon Goldson Calvin Johnson Russell Okung Tracy Porter James Laurinaitis Kam Chancellor Tony Romo Eli Manning Demarcus Ware Cam Newton Andy Levitre (hip hilariously) Manti Te'o Trent Richardson I could go on, but I think you get the point. Most of these are preventative surgeries. It's the NFL, lots of players opt for offseason surgeries.
  7. What more proof do you need then his desire to make The Hobbit into 3 movies. There are numerous scenes in the first 2 that just carry on and on and on and on.... Considering the book is great, IMO, for it's quick read ability I hate that it was made into 3 movies.
  8. Congel has said he would go ahead with this development with or without the Bills stadium. But if a Bills stadium was to be included, that would be phase 2 and he's hoping would be like Lucas Oil Field. I'm sure he wouldn't want to reveal anything about Bills ownership and Golisano's intentions at a preliminary meeting. Anyways, this article in the BN explains it better. http://www.buffalonews.com/city-region/developers-700-million-plan-for-west-seneca-plaza-could-include-new-stadium-20140528
  9. The Mexican border
  10. @JonahJavad: EJ Manuel was limping briefly after escaping pocket during offense vs. defense drill. Reached for left knee. Still on field taking reps tho. I find it odd that he's the only person to bring it up. None of the WGR or national guys, that I saw on Twitter, even mentioned it. Maybe a bit of over reporting and looking too hard for something?
  11. Great film and Daniel Day Lewis is fantastic in it, but for me Madeline Stowe kills it. Didn't like her acting in it at all. Still, it's probably in my top 50 films.
  12. True, it'll be hard to judge most players, including the rookies.
  13. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll really know how much it's improved until week 1 when the live action starts.
  14. I don't think I could ever pick one specific movie that's my favorite. Here's my current top 5: 1. Pulp Fiction 2. Fight Club 3. Idiocracy 4. Goodfellas 5. Schindler's List Although, I'd say The Departed, Taxi Driver, The Godfather, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or any 80's comedy cracks the top 5 regularly.
  15. No offense but to the bold, George W. Bush graduated from both Yale and Harvard Business School. Sure, for your average American it's prestigious and a sign of intelligence to graduate from these Ivy league schools. This is mostly due to the struggle to be one of the few who have a successful application into those Universities and their very high expectations. But this isn't the same for the very wealthy, who can promise donations etc. and almost guarantee their sons/daughters placement.
  16. Serious question, has he gotten a pay check yet from the Browns? If so, that's one way to spend it.
  17. Yea, certainly couldn't put the blame on just Hackett. The high ankle sprain and CJ just not taking what was there contributed more, I think.
  18. Lee has been injury prone most of his career, unfortunately. Guy just can't stay healthy, hasn't completed a full season yet.
  19. Last year? It was ok, I wouldn't say good. But without looking too deep into it (I've only rewatched the first 4 games so far) it's hard to tell why. Could be new blocking scheme and a new offense or maybe the high ankle sprain? It did look like the line was getting blown up, pretty regularly. CJ didn't help himself by trying to bounce it outside or running backwards.
  20. To the quoted stat, I'm sorry but that is completely cherry picking. Sure it looks bad if you just list total yards for the game, but not in the context of how many times he touched the ball. For those 5 games below 50 yards his attempts were: 4, 8, 7, 6, 7. And his yards per carry were 4, 4.1, 3.4, 6.5, 5.3. The guy was averaging over 4 yards a carry, except 1 game. To me this screams of not giving him the ball enough. You expect a running back to have high yards per game, but expect him to do it on less than 10 carries? EDIT: And BTW it's not like there was yards to be had in those games because FJ was in 4 out of 5 of those games and he was below 50 yards as well. in fact he rushed for 29, 29, 21 and 14 in those games with YPC of 2.2, 3.2, 3.5 and 1.6. So Freddie wasn't getting it done and was in fact performing worse.
  21. The article doesn't say much that we don't already now, but there's a nice quote from Scott in there. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000353328/article/buffalo-bills-head-toward-2014-season-with-fate-still-up-in-the-air
  22. Exactly. Hell, I'm offended that there's a Bison on the side of their helmet and people keep calling it a Buffalo!
  23. Neither. Simply pointing out the flaw in his argument against the term Viking and the because the NFL isn't played in a Nordic country the term isn't offensive. I'm pretty sure you'd offend some people by calling the team the Nazi's and the NFL is played in Germany or surrounding countries
  24. Suppose I could go out and start a team and call them the Nazi's, right? Use the swastika and red national colors because the oppression of the Jews, Polish, etc all happened in Europe, so that's alright. What makes what they did any different than what the Vikings did? Because it happened 1000 ago?
