If he took a low dive with his head/ball first, we get a first down there, and he avoids taking a big hit. If he sprints towards the sideline instead of "juking" he probably gets there on a slide. He might not have made it, but we were playing for the season here, and he didn't try. I'm not sure if he really cares about anything other than cashing in a check.

I'm honestly a bit worried about his long term health. I love that he's out there pushing through his injuries, but I hope we don't damage him by playing him on a wasted season.

Like I was saying elsewhere, it seems like he's gotten spooked the last few weeks. Started out playing well enough, but then it started to fall apart. He hears footsteps and just curls up, is afraid to throw the ball in many situations, it's just weird. Either he got hit hard, or got ripped on for throwing an INT, or both, or something.

We're effectively out of the playoff hunt, and Orton isn't exactly lighting it up. No reason to keep EJ on the bench, give him some play.

I don't know if I want Marrone fired or not. We have improved our record and D in big ways. But our offense struggles, can we fire a OC? I feel like OCs don't get fired without the head coach also getting fired, especially when the HC hand picked him... We need a better OL, another RB (assuming Fredex is slowing down and CJ leaves), could use a playmaking TE to compliment Chandler, all on top of needing to improve the QB position...
