  1. I have looked up and down our roster and I cannot find a legit pass rusher. You bet it is a major concern.
  2. Good post dawg. I felt the passion in the post. WHO CARES...Let's start winning and everything else will take care of itself. Remember "Nobody nobodyyyyy cirlces the wagons better than the Bills." Oh how I loved hearing that week after week.
  3. I wil take all wagers on those who think the Bills will go 10-6 or better. I will give you +350.
  4. Kind of funny reading your post. You talk about the Bills going 2-14 which can happen. IMHO, I think five wins is more likely. Guys don't "hang me" for that. Just my opinion nothing more. What I find funny is then you go into talking about all these positive things you would like to see. If all that happens, we most certainly won't be 2-14. Seems like a contradicition but maybe I am reading too much into it.
  5. I think our team is in transition. Lots of changes are taking place. New players, new coaches, and new schemes. This year my expectations are low. IMHO, I think we will win around five games. However, I am not going to discount we can win more. I know some of you have said 9-10 wins. I can't see it. I think our offense will be greatly improved. I think we have gotten a preview of that this preseason. I think most would agree. I still think we need a few more pieces in order to be a solid consistent offense. It appears that we still may need good tackles, a wide receiver or two, and maybe a QB. I am looking to see if anyone emerges to fill these needs. For example, we won't need a QB if TE gains confidence and excels in Galiey's system? Bell or Meredith step up and look good? Roscoe and Nelson thrive in an innovative Gailey offense? Roscoe has already surprised me. I was ready to cut him loose. Lots of unanswered questions and that is why I am so excited about this season. I am looking beyond the wins and losses. I struggle with this thinking process because I want to win now. Defensively, I am worried. We still don't seem to have a legit pass rush and are having trouble stopping the run. I have read lots of post on changing form the 4-3 to 3-4. Your opinions vary. IMHO, it appears that this transition will take some time. I believe teams will exploit our young guys and lack of talent. I don't like our linebackers and I have no idea who is going to pressure the QB. I don't see us being effective in stopping the run either. Perhaps, I am missing something. I don't have a good feeling about our defense.
  6. PTR, I hope your being sarcastic because I don't believe most Bills fans are that close minded and shallow. I for on really disliked the hire and my attitude towards Gailey is changing after what I have seen this off season and preseason. Now, the question will be can we get some wins....
  7. Sounds like your just hating on Shanahan which is your right. I do believe he is slightly overrated. Nevertheless he's a solid, experienced, and proven NFL coach. A super bowl winner too. I think Mr. Elway had a lot to do with that. I would have loved to have him here in Buffalo. I would find it quite hard to believe that most of us wouldn't share a similar vantage point. I am sure a few of you will tell me otherwise. The rest of your post and pretty much opinion based without any real facts to back them up. Of course there will be injuries and who knows about his son as a OC. Maybe he will be awesome for years to come. With all that said it does appear that Gailey has things going in the right direction. However, I still contend that the Bills should have addressed the OL and QB positions.
  8. One of my favorite Vince Lombardi's quotes: Coaches who can outline plays on a black board are a dime a dozen. The ones who win get inside their player and motivate. Thanks for the response.
  9. Here is my take on Gailey. I wasn't very happy with the selection. I have been very skeptical of this new regime. IMHO, the new regime deserves a chance to prove themselves. I for one haven't been the most open minded person when addressing the new changes. I have taken out many years or frustration out on the new regime. Right or wrong, I have been reluctant to give them the benifit of the doubt. I fully realize that this thinking is flawed. I believe it's due to the organization's lack of success. It almost seems like this organization is destined to fail year after year. This board has seriously helped me to change my thinking. The positive posters here have really helped me see things differently. Although I still don't agree with many of you, the positive comments have prevented me from being closed minded or at least less close minded. I really do enjoy reading everyones viewpoints and I really enjoy this forum. I have much respect for your football knowledge. Enough of that... Back to Gailey, I am starting to believe this guy might be the right fit in Buffalo. For the first time in years, it was actually enjoyable to watch the offense play. Seems like Gailey is on the right track. This season will tell us alot.
  10. I don't believe I would be a fan of coach Gailey if we go 0-16. I would not have confidence in the coach and I know I would think were in better hands. Just my opinion.
  11. The time to upgrade was months ago. The Bills Front Office has clearly decided not to upgrade. I would like to think that maybe they think TE can be that quality starting NFL QB. I have my doubts but he has looked good during preseason. For now, we are going to have to see how TE does. I think we pretty much know what we have in Fitz. BB seems to be a long shot at best. If things don't work out, the time to upgrade will be next year.
  12. Solid response back rabbit. I wouldn't expect anything but that. Valid points about TE and the concussions. However, I am not sure TE has the mental makeup to be an every day solid NFL QB. This is based on what I have seen out of TE in the past. He has lost his confidence on many occasions. Doesn't mean he won't be successful in years to come. However, I would prefer to see a TE who just played "balls to the wall." Instead, what we have seen is a timid, scared, and damaged QB. I can't get the images of him playing on Monday night against the Browns out of my mind. Nevertheless, he did engineer the final drive which should have led to a win. Vince Young also comes to mind too. Additionally, he doesn't appear to be a leader. He has been reluctant to take blame and take leadership of the team. If I recall correctly, the team rallied around Fitz. That sends alarm bells down my spine. Valid points can be made regardless of where you stand. I just remain skeptical based on what I have seen over the years. Your points are valid about the OL and previous coaches contributing to the problem. I like what I have seen in preseason. I like how our offense has been moving the chains and scoring. I liked how TE got his bell rung and come right back with a big play play to Lee. However, a few quarters of successful preseason football cannot erase the years TE's ineffectiveness. I think that is why the outside media is justifiably ranking TE so low. I think TE has to prove himself to the fans of Buffalo before we can claim him a success. Until them he should remain in the lower tier of starting NFL QB's.
  13. Certainly entitled to your opinion. My point was to illustrate that others can think differently than him. Point was I didn't like his style of stating his viewpoints. Of course we can argue the QB's all day long and we will get varying viewpoints. I do take exception that my post hold no or little truth and the glory hole comment isn't even worth attacking.
  14. I guess your right. Wait, how have the Colts done since he left Buffalo and went there.
  15. Rabbit, you could very well be correct and I hope you are correct. I agree the previous coaching staff hasn't helped TE progress and certainly hampered his preformance. It is hard to argue otherwise. Additionally, IMHO, TE has preformed until Gailey's new offensive system. It looks very encouraging. However, I just don't know if TE is strong enough physically and mentally to handle adversity. I don't think he will be able to overcome the shortcomings of our OL and WR's. I seriously have my doubts. I don't think it is anything Galiey can teach. I think it is something you have or you don't. Perhaps, I am reading way too much into the situation. Currently, I think it isn't unreasonable to say the our QB roster is in the lower level of the NFL. Your point is well taken and perhaps as the season goes on TE and Galiey can prove us doubtors wrong. So far, he has proved me wrong. I want to see it happen when it really counts. Time will tell...
  16. Why such anger in your post? I don't find your points of views to be any more crediable than his. The truth lies somewhere in between. Why does one have to be so condescending? (1) What has TE done in the past that is so commendable? D. Anderson had one very good year. Not a fan of his but he is more proven than TE. Sanchez young and unproven. IMHO, most football people would take him over any of our QB's. Matt Moore/Clausen. Unproven but much more upside. I would take both of these over TE/Fitz. J Freeman. Maybe you didn't see the second half of Tampa's season. This guy looked sharp. I wish he was on our QB roster. Jake D. Appears to be washed up but maybe new scenery with Holgrim will jump start him. Campbell without a doubt an upgrade over TE. Has lots of excuses. The stats don't lie. Bills should have traded for him. Cassel looked great in NE. I would take him over TE just based on that performance. Cutler comment doesn't even require a response. Shouldn't even be on your list. Bradford. How many of us would want him on our team right now? Answer, everyone but you. Our QB situation is one of the worst in the league. Perhaps not the worst but bottom feeders for sure. I am not sold on Williams. You talk as though he is a pro bowler. He is adequate at best. Struod looks to be in better shape but I haven't been exactly wowed by his performance this preseason. So if you idea of reenergized is loosing weight than your correct. Who cares if Edwards started for the Ravens. Did you forget he has a suspect neck? I do like the way he has played this preseason. I haven't been impressed by Troup or Carrington. Then again they are young and should be given time to prove themselves. But, to this point they are back ups with something to prove. I have watched every game. We all see things differently. Your opinion is appreciated (with valid points) your tone, condescending remarks, and name calling isn't. Sadly, this is the kind of post I would have written months ago. I have since changed my behavior thanks to the many posters here. Maybe, you can take this advice and do the same.
  17. it is a great post and I said that. I have one question for you. When and where did I call you a name.
  18. I am not embarrassed. I was having a personal conversation with a fan who happened to share my viewpoints. I know many don't agree with my stances and I am ok wth that. You don't seem to have the maturity to understand that its ok for people to have differing points of view. You are a very shallow person. You have done nothing but embarrass yourself not me.
  19. Not concerned. Was hoping there was a logical solution to your incoherent posts.
  20. Had to be some sort of falling out with him and Pete Carrol. Pete Carol is a cheater and a liar.
