  1. Agreed. I'm all for blowing up the team and getting what we can in trade, but the trade was handled poorly. The front office needs an enima.
  2. Let's trade up (or down) and get both. That'd end the argument.
  3. Good post, nice perspective. I don't think he really puts us in the best posiiton to win each week, but he definitely gives us a good look at the talent; which puts us in a better position to win each week next season. I'm waiting to profit off our surpluss of running backs as well. It would be nice to find a decent talent in the third to replace Marshawn or Freddy. Anyway, good point.
  4. Gailey had to get him out of there. The guy was the captain and lost his job for the second time, it's sad. There's no point of allowing him to mope around the locker room causing turmoil among the TE loyalists. Now there is no room for dissension (until the upcoming Brohm/Fitz QB controversy). The players will be upset, but in time they will gel with the new leader and forget about their old pal Trent...especially if they start winning. People always get uneasy when a new boss comes in to the workplace and tries to make his or her imprint. It's never a painless process. I think this also sends the message that Chan is here to win, not worry about the feelings of the 53 grown men on his team who make a minimum salary that is ten times my own. No one is safe. The team is above one player. Now, let's get started on a trade for Marshawn and see what we get for Lee Evans while we're at it!
  5. Look, I'll be living vicariously though another team this year as well (after tormenting myself with the Bills game).....but rooting for Brady?!?! This is how it happened to Aniken Skywalker. Slippery slope my friend...slippery slope.
  6. I don't know what is longer; this post or the Old Testament. Holy crap...did you really need to post this? Blah, blah, blah,....Trent Edwards is better in practice than he is in the game. The coaches based his status on the practice and changed their minds when he played like a timid child in dodge ball. This is why we are playing another crappy quarterback instead of this crappy quarterback. I had to stop reading after the second paragraph. I wish I stopped after reading your first sentence. But, I'm guessing I summed your Doctoral Thesis up in a fairly accurate way. Yikes.

  8. The Bills represent Western NY (I know there are the sabres, but I wasn't raised a hockey fan) and is really our only flag to waive (sad is that may be). I left the area years ago and it is the only thing that people identify with the region. It is not just a team to root for, but a connection to home. For me, if they leave, that's it. I pray they leave the colors, logos, and history with us, and start a new. The rivalries that live in my heart would no longer have relevance any more, so football would never be the same. Anyway...it's something we should all be prepared for. God Bless Jim Kelly, but there's only so much money to pull from Western NY to buy this thing...
  9. I don't approve of what Vick did, but we don't need high character players, we need winners. Also, at this point, I don't see Vick going off and doing anything else to put his future in jeapardy. He can run like a mother******, which can only help a quarterback with our line. I disagree with the posters arguing that he wouldn't upgrade this team. He wouldn't be as strong as he is in Philly, but he would be an immediate upgrade and a locker room leader. I say we monopolize on Reid's stupidity if we can.
  10. I'm predicting less than 20 players on IR this year...that should account for one additional win. Otherwise, I'm just hoping that Chan will show us the baby, and then agree to never again say he'll show us the baby...
  11. I'm sick of losing. I'm sick of last minute close losses to Tony Romo. I'm sick of losing the battle of lake erie to Cleveland. I'm sick of losing to the Patriots for so long it pre-dates the existence of a whole generation. I'm sick of a decade of analysts laughing at us, literally, on national TV. I'm sick of being told by everyone (I'm no longer in Western NY) how bad we are. I'm sick of our players not making the top 100 of fantasy draft players. I'd give up a first round pick for a playoff run. I want to win and enjoy the hell out of watching it happen. I can't wait to say "GO BILLS!" again with my pride intact. At least I know I'm safe here "GO BILLS!" and God Bless Western NY - 7 and 9....more if it were an option.
