  1. Who would be willing to go 0-16 for the chance to draft a Matthew Stafford?
  2. Some of the reports said he's simply a ridiculous athlete who just happens to play safety. I can agree with that after seeing two games. Too soon to buy a Poyer jersey?
  3. Probably affects our playoff ranking as well.
  4. Watching the Denver game and thinking they look a ton better on offense than last year under Dennison. However, after looking at 2016 stats their offense was actually quite good. I must just be tainted from today's performance. That said, I really do remember them looking awful on offense several games last year. Just looked at scores. Three games with 10 points or fewer, another where they scored 13 and one where they scored 16.
  5. Again, seriously? You wrote "What is going on there? A surprising amount of NFL coaches cannot manage the clock. Yet a college student can make a hierarchy of when to call a timeout at exact moments of a game to save the most clock. Him failing to call a TO with less than 40 seconds to go after a run was crazy." So you weren't indicating that McDermott is one of the coaches who cannot manage a clock? Which would mean you have zero issue with how he managed the clock for the Carolina game. Which would mean you would have never started this thread. There is literally nothing else you could have meant by this thread other than "McDermott cannot manage the clock." Sure, if you had started this thread in the preseason, or any other time not after a loss when the announcer specifically disagreed with the clock management, maybe I would buy what your selling. But, given the circumstances, and what you typed, "McDermott cannot manage the clock" is either what you meant, or you did a poor job expressing your thoughts in writing. haha Thank you
  6. Also I did not mean to insult you personally. I never said you were stupid. I said the statement/premise of the thread was stupid.
  7. Seriously? You're going to backtrack that far? Based on what you posted the logical conclusion is that you think McDermott cannot manage the clock. There is no way around that is what you were saying.
  8. Uhhhh I just did. Literally, the post you used to start this thread says "cannot manage".
  9. You started this thread with a post that said a surprising number of NFL coaches CANNOT manage the clock and the Bills need to hire a clock management specialist. So yes, you did say that.
  10. Just because you disagree with the strategy doesn't mean it was a mistake or mismanagement. I'm gonna have to believe that the HC of an NFL team can manage a NFL game better than you. The premise of your statements isn't that you disagree with the strategy, but rather, that McDermott can't manage the clock, which is just inaccurate and stupid.
  11. It isn't complicated, what you're saying just doesn't make sense. It'd be like blaming the driver for running out of gas because you arrive at your destination 5 minutes late with 1/2 tank of gas left.
  12. But the clock didn't expire. In fact, the Panthers got the ball back and had to kneel. AND, we still could have stopped the clock one more time if needed. If we didn't actually run out of time, clock management wasn't an issue.
  13. I just don't agree it was an issue as we didn't run out of time. We ran out of downs.
  14. I'm pretty sure that was because of what the offense looked like compared to the D we had called and not that he suddenly realized he should save time after wasting 30 seconds.
  15. Not sure I agree. If Zay catches that ball they need the TO they had left or else the clock would have expired. Even with the extra 13 seconds on the clock that had previously run off, they don't get down there and set up on time to spike it.
  16. It's not difficult to see that moving the pocket, rolling out, screens and misdirections are what work for this offense. Why put Tyrod under center and have him do a standard drop back and pass from the pocket, ever?
  17. How about a play action pass down the field to Zay?
  18. Scoring on the 2nd half opening drive would feel remarkable
  19. I'd like to see 0 called runs for the first 10 plays of the second half
  20. Glad our worst WR is getting all of the targets
  21. Maybe just a stinger that keeps Tyrod out for two series is what we need. See if Peterman can provide a spark
  22. Thank the sweet baby jesus for Poyer
  23. Move the pocket, get Tyrod mobile
  24. WAY more excited for this game than the Jets game. It actually feels like the season is starting today, and last week was just a fifth preseason game. Go Bills!
  25. Yea, that place makes absolutely delicious food!
