  1. To be down by 21 points of any game and finish with an 18 point win is pretty wild. Hopefully this is the start of many new "firsts" in NFL history...like a first Buffalo Bills super bowl championship!!!! GO BILLS!!!! http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/11/22/bills-establish-nfl-first/
  2. I was trying to show whose numbers he DID match up with. That's why I also left Mike Vick off the list, because his numbers were putrid. So the 70% completion CANNOT be attributed to his accuracy? Just the Oline and conservative throws, huh? You need to sit and watch a few full games of Luck, his balls are right on the freakin mark, whether it's a screen pass, a slant, or a deep ball. He has so much touch on his throws it's incredible. So Ryan Mallett can throw it through a brick wall, so could Jeff George. I want a passer, not a thrower. All this being said, it's starting to become obvious we are not getting that #1 overall pick (which is GREAT considering they're winning) so I'm really hoping our defense gets focused on in this draft if we can't snag Luck. GO BILLS!!!
  3. The more experience Fitzy gets, the better he's going to be. Steve Johnson sure seems to have a rapport with him. I've been hoping for Luck as much as anyone, but we start developing some offensive chemistry, we should address our pathetic defense in the draft. I'm not changing my opinion on Luck (I think he's gonna be amazing in the pros) but if we're not picking #1 (which it looks now like we won't) and he comes out we're not getting him anyways. If that happens, we should try upgrading the D.
  4. Sick numbers or National championships, huh? The only nat'l champ I found is Vince Young (JaMarcus Russell's LSU won title year after he left) As far as the sick numbers... The best seasons of these QBs Matt Ryan 59.3% 4,507 yards 31 TDs 19 INTs David Carr 64.7% 4,299 yards 42 TDs 7 INTs Carson Palmer 63.2% 3,942 yards 33 TDs 10 INTs Joey Harrington 57.8% 2,415 yards 23 TDs 5 INTs (Luck's stats DWARF his) Matt Stafford 61.4% 3,459 yards 25 TDs 10 INTs JaMarcus Russell 67.8% 3,129 yards 28 TDs 8 INTs Eli Manning 62.4% 3,600 yards 29 TDs 10 INTs Projected stats of Andrew Luck based on avg performance so far this year Andrew Luck 70.2% 3,245 yards 28 TDs 8 INTs Luck's stats compare very much to Carson Palmer's, Eli Manning's, Matt Stafford's. And after looking up all of these stats, I still realized it's pointless. Guys have come out of college with all sorts of stats, good and bad. I thought Matt Ryan was going to be an unsuccessful NFL QB based on the amount of INTs he threw at BC. I should have looked at his heart during that comeback win against VT when he threw 2 late TDs late in the game when they were inept offensively the entire game and had no business winning it. Andrew Luck has shown me all season that he has that heart, whether he's running down (and catching) DBs who have just intercepted him, whether he's delivering blocks downfield for his RBs, or he's running over DBs on scrambles. He has that "it" factor as well as incredible accuracy and beautiful touch on the long ball. Yes, he doesn't throw a spiral every time, but just ask Peyton Manning how much that means. If Buffalo is LUCKy enough to get him, HALLELUJAH!!!!
  5. After today's 20 point loss...my theory is soon looking like reality...keep losing Blue...keep losing.
  6. Love the confidence. I think Luck has the potential to be great.
  7. I'm not going out on much of a limb to predict that neither of these wishes will come true. I can envision a win against the Bungles or Dolphins, Peyton Hillis makes me think we will lose to the Browns...I say we finish 2-14...the Panthers win games vs Seahawks and Cards to finish 3-13...With the #1 pick in the NFL draft, the BUFFALO BILLS select... I also don't like our chances on the road vs Vikes...Adrian Peterson and Visanthe Shiancoe are also a recipe for disaster for our D.
  8. I was at the game at the end of 2004 season (Jan 2nd 2005 to be exact) and the stadium was in my opinion 50% squealer fans. I'm guessing that number will be 60-70% this year. Oh yeah, we were in the playoffs had we won that game. Awful. http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=250102002 It's funny to read James Harrison and Willie Parker were backups then. Still should have won that game.
  9. The way Luck plays...beyond the accurately thrown balls and amazing deep touch...the way he runs down DBs after INTs, the way he runs with the ball...the way he'll get out front and throw blocks for his RBs...if he's there for the taking, I can't see how he's passed up...Just not sure he'll be there for the taking (whether we have a high enough pick or if he stays in school) Just hope he is. He's got franchise written all over him. Edit: I've watched Luck quite a bit this year (more than I've ever followed any college player) and he has only strenghtened my opinion from week to week.
  10. This topic is null and void if we draft Kellen Moore. He's a lefty.
  11. A kid who is currently 13 years old (if he comes out as a junior) I'll roll the dice and say a DB.
  12. The Steeler game is in Buffalo...that being said, still think we'll lose. The only "winnable" games I really see here are Cincy and Miami. I say we win one of them to finish 2-14...that'll be good enough for probably #2, maybe even #1, if Carolina pulls out a couple (they've still got the seahawks and cardinals on their schedule)
  13. Only they HAD Sims...check out the Philadelphia Eagles' roster. But a side Detroit note...yes, they are 2-7, but they're probably one of the only 2-7 teams in the history of the NFL to have outscored their opponents (by a score of 215-202).
  14. Some of those guys were on that field today, bet they had a ball in the locker room knowing their "perfection" was safe!
  15. That's fantastic. Why don't you find a Jags site and talk all about it!
  16. I am thrilled we won't be joining the Lions at 0-16...kind of fitting we got our 1st vs them...hopefully more to come...
  17. Jim Kelly was upset the Bills drafted him...Things change.
  18. Real sweet...we get "bragging rights" and they get Andrew Luck. I hope not. To answer OP...a winning season is at least 9 MORAL victories...we just need 7 more!
  19. I have seen that we're a popular pick this week for the upset, I just don't know if I buy it. Matt Forte is more than capable of having a HUGE game today and if Cutler plays decent today we could be in for a long day. If Cutler throws 4 INTs and Mike Martz doesn't choose to exploit our run D then we've got a chance.
  20. We all like luck...I pray for it every Powerball drawing!! I totally agree with this...I wouldn't be surprised if he stays in school or comes out...the financial aspect of this decision seems to be that this may be the last year of huge rookie salaries, and I don't know many people who could pass up $40 million guaranteed when they have no idea what the following year will hold...whether it be injury, poor play, or a rookie salary cap. I just think that if Harbaugh left Stanford then Luck's decision would be to come out for sure.
  21. That's not a bad idea, but didn't he pass up an interview with us last year? Unless the thought of being Luck's coach in the pros is so enticing he decides that the Bills are his team of choice. But there's no way Chan gets the ax after one year, nor do I think he should. Yes, that too is a nightmare scenario. Originally being from Erie, it's hard to call them a city. It's more like a collection of run down houses and buildings that people still choose to inhabit.
  22. OK...hear out my rationalization. University of Michigan loses a few more games this year and the school has decided that 3 years is enough of the Rich Rodriguez era. Jim Harbaugh sees that as his dream head coaching job and decides to take it (I'm guessing the job would be his if he wants it seeing what he did with Stanford in the short time he was there). Andrew Luck then decides that he does not want to spend his senior season learning a different coach's offensive playbook and enters the NFL draft. A miraculous turnaround aside, the Bills will be in position to draft this future phenom and the next decade will be, as they say, history. The only thing that worries me is Carolina outdoing us in losing football games and snagging him (they wouldn't right, not with Jimmy Claussen being taken in the 2nd just last year?) I know there's still a lot to be determined, but I've got my fingers crossed for good Luck.
