  1. Who's gonna start the "why didn't we draft Sam Bradford instead of a kick returner" thread?
  2. Whatever you're taking I'll buy a gram off you
  3. I'm not so worried about Fitzpatrick, but I think there's a good chance the Ravens set a NFL record for most rushing yards in a single game by a team.
  4. lol we suck, who really cares at this point. If anyone can actualy invest energy in being "offended" well than props to them on taking up a lost cause. Until the culture changes it's status quo.
  5. I think this game hinges on who has the better running game. I see the jets struggling offensively if they can't sustain a rushing game vs the Vikings. Although the Vikings defensive backfield can be exploited, the jets offense lives and dies with their running game. This game will be on the shoulders of Greene and LT.
  6. Or maybe the pats had a team with a good quarterback, who ran a balanced offense as he developed, and their defense was anchored over their superbowl years by the likes of Ted Washington/Richard Seymour/Keith Traylor/Vince Wilfork/Ty Warren had a solid lb core, quality secondary a great front office, and head coach.... Na I'm sure it's some indepth conspiracy surrounding Patriotic love for 9/11
  7. This defense makes me yearn for 2005 when Tiny Tim Anderson and Justin Bannan where playing dt for us
  8. Maybe the new 6 million dollar man will be busy enough to stop getting planeted on his ass to actually tackle a rb for a minimal gain, probably not though. Money well spent, cause why look for new options when we can extend the garbage we already have.
  9. Quoted for truth, especially the bolded part. Although I tend to suspect the same. He's made it his personal crusade to defend Kelsay. He's either a relative, works for the Bills, is Chris Kelsay himself, or incredibly naive about what Kelsay brings to the field. I have little doubt that if you took Kelsay off the field, and put in Torbor, or Chris Ellis they could do exactly what Kelsay has achieved in this defense. In the case of Ellis probably more, as he has better range, and is faster, with room to improve. Kelsay is not gonna get better in this defense. For 8 years Kelsay supporters have used the term "realize his potential", and he's yet to due so. This is the same guy who frequently bit inside on end arounds. Seriously watch him I've never seen a dend/olb bite so many times on end arounds. He's not nearly quick enough to be a pass rusher. Even if he has quality closing speed, his inital quickness is some of the worst I've seen out of a starting end. He's a liability in coverage, and sure as hell isn't gonna get any faster. He's 30 years old his potential has been realized. He has never, was never, and will never be an above average player in this league. Guys like Kelsay are a dime a dozen. The league is littered with lumbering lead footed players. Most of them don't suck the money out of a franchise, like Kelsay has done to the Bills. The sooner this guy is replaced the better off we'll be as a football team. P.S Keith Ellison is a better lb than Chris Kelsay. He's quicker, and much better in coverage. Infact Keith Ellison is our best coverage lb. Which isn't saying a lot, but if the choice was to extend Ellison or Kelsay, the logical football choice would've been Ellison as it relates to coverage ability of our olb's in the 3-4. Also Andra Davis is a guy you keep. He has the most 3-4 experience of any of our lb's, and is the best run defender of the bunch. Different position playing inside than out, but he's a natural albeit aging 2 down run defender at ilb.
  10. This is stage 3 1. Denial 2. Grief 3. Acceptance
  11. Heh.... or we could stick to the 2004 draft itself. Besides the rumors of trying to trade up for Roethlisberger. What if instead of panicking and sending Dallas picks to trade back into the 1st. We had still picked Lee Evans at 13, Dwan Edwards in the 2nd rd instead of Tim Anderson in the 3rd. and than had drafted Matt Schaub in the 3rd, giving us our franchise qb, and a good wr in the same year. What could've been
  12. Mostly I just want to win football games. NFL players aren't my friends. I'm not inviting them over to dinner, or exchanging christmas cards. Nor are they coming on vacations with me and my family. So I'd rather just see the best 53 Football players on the field. It's great that Kelsay is a humanitarian. He's not a good football player.
  13. Yeah I like the idea of keeping players who can make plays as opposed to paying people who can't.
  14. That anything Jahvid Best could do Spiller could do better. There's no reason for this guy to not be playing.
  15. Their Rookie TE Hernandez/Eddleman/Welker they still have plenty of options.
  16. You may want to look at his last few starts from last season. In the last 5 games he was sacked 15 times, on 119 attempts. Once every 8 pass attempts. On the + side he had 6 tds to 4 ints and avg'd 152ypg. I can see why people are so excited by Fitzpatrick. Maybe one day we'll get a real qb
  17. Keith Ellison is our best lb. He's the only good lb we have in coverage, and yeah we should've kept Fletcher. I understand the situation with Spikes it's an unfortunate break, but the Fletcher/Poz situation is status quo for the Bills and the very reason we could never get over the hump. We let good players go and use high draft picks to replace them with lesser players. Pat Williams/Fletcher/Greer Henry/Mcgahee/ if we would've kept some of these players and used the draft picks to improve other areas of the team we would not be in this mess and we could be discussing the possibility of playoffs or heck even winning the division instead of talking about whether or not we'll go 0-16. It's gotten so bad we're happy about Ryan F'n Fitzpatrick. It's just disgusting
  18. If Matt Schaub stays healthy that team is a contender.
  19. I disagree. I think it was the right call. If you know the limitations of your kicker, and for all intents and purposes, Neil Rackers is an aging kicker, who doesn't have the accuracy anymore. Why risk allowing washington to have great field position. It was gutsy, but it ended up working out in their favor. Yes I realize Washington caught a break with a tacky penalty, than McNabb moved the ball a bit, than the time out on the skins fg sequence. However still the ball ended up back in the hands of Matt Schaub, and the Texans won. At the end of the day hats off to them. P.S I actually thought the sequence of calling rushing plays on their game winning fg drive was worse than not going for the fg the previous time out.
