Brohm can make all the throws. I agree Chan needs these guys to play in space - Nelson is probably the second best receiver we have and needs to get involved but I read that Gailey's offense (other than one year where T. Gonzalez went off) doesn't utilize the TE for catching. I'm not expecting much from Hardy; S/ Johnson much more promising
yeah Spiller needs to be the outlet and can run the wheel pattern -
also, please can they get Nelson involved down the middle???
Nelson could be a major weapon
but still who is #2 WR???
Yes Hot Rod stands corrected - I'm being reminded that there were a few of us with the vision.
hoping this rookie camp has the core of our team going forward -
Brohm, Spiller, Nelson, Uconn WR, Wood (not practicing) Levitre, etc
Love all the Brohm love now!!
but where were you all while I alone repeatedly called for Brohm's shot to start???
Are the Lefavour lovers going to follow his career in Chicago; what about the McCoy fans in Cleveland?
or McNabb in DC?
Brohm is and has been the plan and it's a good plan -
Brohm as profiled by WGR - (they prob got from other sources)
…a very similar body type to Brady Quinn. He's tall and stands with poise. He moves well around the pocket and his patience allows plays to fully develop. He has speed and can be a threat on the ground if necessary, but prefers to work with his arm rather than his feet…arm is as good as they come. He throws a great deep ball but more importantly, the majority of his passes have touch, making it easy for his receivers to pick up yardage after the catch. Durability is a major question. He has a Tom Brady swagger with a Carson Palmer-like arm. He's big and strong and makes sound decisions for his team. However, he has a downside that the other top quarterback's don't and that's durability.
Irrespective of title; of course, Nix was familar with Brohm - he would have seen his college career. And Gailey, a college coach, too would also be very aware of Brohm from college (I'm sure he was aware of college's top qbs)
DarthIce when did you thaw to the idea of Brohm starting?? a win-win situation?? really, I've been espousing Brohm starting since we got him and recall numerous negative remarks by you!
nonethless, you are correct - it is a winning situation - Brohm will be very good in this offense
Brian Brohm: Bills open to Brohm winning starting QB job
According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the Bills are "very open" to Brian Brohm entering Week 1 as their starting quarterback.
Mort previously hinted on ESPN that the new Bills regime is ready to wash its hands of Trent Edwards. Brohm threw for just 146 yards and two picks on 29 pass attempts in his lone start last season. Otherwise, the former second-round pick has been unable to get on the field entering his third year. Apr. 9 - 5:10 pm et
