  1. I've stopped watching the national media b/c they are all (save for Berman) insidious elites who spew anti-bills vitriol!
  2. Nelson could be lethal in a better run offense. he made a few very nice catches this year - very impressive for a rookie. he should get stronger and even better next year but has a promising career.
  3. " Brohm ran a pro-set in college. go back and look at the tapes. He had multiple recievers. I doubt he made one read and dumped the ball off. Did you hear that from Andrew Filliponi on WGR? Filliponi is a Brohm basher
  4. I believe Brohm is the answer at QB - solidify Oline, dline and lb. get a good HC, OC and give him a year. If the same guy who played at Lousiville doesn't show up next year, then draft Mallet or Locker (if available). but I think w/ a stronger Oline and with time to throw, Brohm will have a big career - the talent is self-evident, just build the line and let him throw. Incidently, Edwards had time to throw at the beginning of the year but "checked down" so it is possible for Bills QBs to get time - I think the Oline will be mostly 2nd yr players next year but they should get some solid vet help. I like Incognito and Levitre at guard. and when Wood is healthy, I'd like to see him return to his natural position center. Recall he was Brohm's college center. We need to solidify the tackle spots. but not through draft -
  5. if Cowher don't want it then he don't get it...but Frazier is just Perry Fewell with better talent. I like the idea of Billick b/c the guy seems to want it
  6. JUST KEEP FEWELL THEN!!! WHAT'S THE DIF?? Frazier has had enjoyed better talent, that's about it. More COVER 2??? Please!! Fewell would look great with Minn's talent too - IMO this would be a terrible mistake
  7. the article states that Cowher would not be hired in Carolina b/c the Panther owner fears a lockout next year. The Panthers would promote from within according to the article's source. still, Cowher could wait that out. Think this is a critical week - if no Cowher by eow, then I think it's unlikely he comes
  8. I suspect they are trying desparately to land Cowher based upon the Nix press confernce. Recall how many times Cowher's name was mentioned by JK, et al. This leads me to believe that he is the one they're angling hard for. I suspect if that wasn't the case, we would have seen another candidate in there like a Billick. I read Haslett's name was on the list yet there's been no report that he has been contacted. The silence from Cowher and the Bills leads me to believe that they're talking -- of course, it may not come to anything. I'd be disapointed and surprised if they hire some inexperienced coordinator. Shannihan and DC made the market yesterday, so the numbers should be clearer today and why does WGR have to ask national media types about what's going on at OBD? I find it really odd, that they're so out of touch and removed. Why does Clayton know more about the Bills situation than Mike Schopp appears to know?
  9. Based upon Nix's press conference I expect them to address both lines and lbs. I don't suspect Edwards will be back. I think they will draft a qb but probably in 4th or 5th round. The guy at Fordham is interesting possibility. Maybe they bring in a vet f.a. someone like a Jeff Garcia. But I do expect it to be Brohm's job and expect him to hit the elusive 300 yard mark by mid-season. I'm basing his play upon having seen him in college. Yes he looked like he didn't belong in GB, but I think he looked poised in his first start given awful circumstances. The talent is evident. I'm also assuming that the Bills hire a good HC that can develop his talent, etc - and this is the teneous assumption! Claussen's game and throwing motion, etc very much reminds me of JP Bradford could be good and the others I think are 3 round qbs at best.
  10. Brohm projected much better out of college than the current college class. Had he entered in his junior year he likely would have been first qb off the board. I suspect he got lost in GB behind Rogers and wondered why he was there. Again, it's evident that he didn't fit the GB west coast system but that doesn't mean he won't fit the Bills system whatever that might be. The point is that the talent is there.
  11. [The Future Qb Is Already On The Bills Roster. Who Is It? Brian Brohm by Jonathan Maurer Jonathan MaurerContributor 6 articles written 1 comments written 1 fans View Profile . Contributor Written on January 04, 2010 The Answer at the QB position is not Trent Edwards, or Ryan Fitzpatrick, Not a 2010 draft pick. Who is it? Brian Brohm former Louisville star qb and packers 2008 second round pick. Brohm was cut by the packers earlier this season now I don't think brohm will be better than rodgers but i think he can be an elite qb. he did throw 2 picks in his first start but that was his first start. he is very talented. he has an arm like favre. if the bills where smart they would start brohm next season. The thing that the bills need an offensive line and a recieving tight end. They can't expect to draft a qb in the first round they have other issues like i mentioned o-line they are worst in the league at run defense. they can't just draft a qb in the first roundand expect everything to go all right. See what brohm can do not just in one game but a season develop brohm surround brohm with a good o-line another good receiver get a defense that can get him the ball back if and when he makes a mistake. An arm like brohms doesn't come around everyday. I completely concur w/ the writers assessment; incoming coach will know Brohm from college. the guy was in the wrong system in GB. He is a pocket passer not a west coast type. With a solid line and a good defense, he will put up big numbers. Yeah he needs a solid line but so did Kelly; so does Brady and Manning, etc - Nix is a SEC guy so if we draft Alabama LB 9th, trade back into first round to snag Alabam DT and solidify our Oline via free agency or improvement from Levitre Wood (assuming healthy) and Bell, we should have a strong young nucleus and in playoffs in 2 years
  12. Where is Bill Cowher today? Shanny and DC already made the market, let's get this deal done by the eow -- if not let him walk his dog and wait for Carolina to open
  13. Really? how much Beer is in the Ball? Maybin needs to be utilized in the same fashion Bryce Paup was - as a speed rushing LB. He is no DE and appears immature so I'm very bearish on his career
  14. hoping that the News report that Bills will take their time in deliberating/interviewing over hc is subterfuge and that Cowher signs by eow. Shanny made the market, now there should be no time wasted negotiating contract terms w/ Cowher. If deal is not consumated by eow; time to move away from Cowher. Anyone catch "Coach Speak with Brian Billick" last night? He seems eager to get back into the game and I believe would really bring some vitality to the organization. I don't mind the arrogance, esp after the Jauron
