  1. a few cases makes the whole system, i highly doubt it, the majority of athletes are held to the academic standards of the university just like other students. Nobody can force them to major in pre med or prelaw, but they are still required to pass, anyone heard of academic probation.
  2. find me 1 current NFL player that didnt go to college
  3. College is a good farm system, promote education as a means to the pros, remember the NFL is the only pro sports league to require some college
  4. I didnt think it was boring, I thought it was a very evenly matched game b/t the 2 best teams. NO did a great job of controlling the clock in the 3rd. This was the type of game you will see when both QB's don't crack under pressure.(most of the game)
  5. NO had the top offense last year and went 8-8, greggo came in and they won the Super Bowl, defense wins Championships, and the Saints D found a way to Shut down the "smartest player to ever play the game", and intercept the "greatest QB in NFL History", to seal the victory. As much as i hate to say it, Greg williams deserves a ton of credit for shaping up that D.
  6. Considering the fact that nix said, " I don't care" in terms of popularity of decisions, i don't care either, I am confident he's gonna make good picks. The power of the fans is highly overrated, you think the eagles GM gave 2 sh*ts about the fans opinion when he drafted Mcnabb, of course not. Nix will take the guy he believes is right for the team.
  7. you have no proof of any of that. Any supplement taken must be approved by the league otherwise the player is suspended.
  8. highly inconsistent in games, missed having his top WR a lot.
  9. the knock on lefevour so far according to the TBD all world scout was "he's got a noodle arm, cant throw it, blah blah blah" so I'd hope throws like that could put that talk to rest, however, your reference is completely irrelevant
  10. Lefevour showed a 57 and 60 yd bomb, I think the arm strength thing is out the window now
  11. This is too much, i hope this never happens
  12. golf is a sport, so is arm wrestling, you cant tell how athletic olineman are so is football not a sort, or are they just not athletes? You cant determine athleticism by watching a wrestling match but I know that is a sport. You don't determine what a sport is, and your definition of what is and is not sport is terrible.
  13. what about deadpool, he'd be a better corner than the lizard, i got marvel by 6
  14. plus Orton has a weak arm, now if his cousin Randy signs too, then its a done deal
  15. keeping him thru camp doesnt hurt anything and you get to see what he has, if anything, Orton is the safest best option of the guys available, but we still need a longterm answer somewhere, and orton isnt that guy
  16. IDK to be honest, Orton is a possibility, but the other 3 no way, I am in favor of giving brohm the chance to compete , we spent nothing to get him, so why not. I think it depends on what offense gailey is running, if he goes with a spread type, get a guy that has done it, thigpin, brohm, lefevour, etc... IDK, but pennington is not the guy you want, T-jack reminds me of a black jp losman, and culpepper couldnt beat out stafford last year, so i'm not sure he'd be a good idea either. everything is up in the air. I guess Orton is the best option out there right now
  17. none of those guys sound good, unfortunately, there's not many good qb's out there right now
  18. if at all possible i'd would like to trade back to 13 & 17, but where we are now, id take either bruce campbell or baluga, cody in rd 2, Lefevour, and micah johnson, then BPA in 5-7
  19. Clausens stats were awesome this year, he did everything he could to win those games, not his fault his defense was TERRIBLE. he's the most pro-ready Qb available
  20. no way, we are better off with Fitz as a backup, Boller hasn't shown he can grasp the game to this point, he needs some UFL time to rebound
  21. Clausen was a big time recruit. the attitude stuff was early on at ND. but I believe most of that has subsided, he's still a very confident guy but he's not a coach killer type from what i've heard. With that said I agree that a LB should not be our #9 pick, i'd rather get that later in rd 3-4 (micah johnson) and get the QB early
