  1. No. The team is superbowl or bust so that’s my expectations.

everyone including Vegas thought the Bills would roll this team. the Packers are a bad football team. Bills dumb mistakes kept the Pack in the game.

all that matters is the W but…..

contrary to what others think, where any criticism is considered doom and gloom, you are allowed to say things like “probably shouldn’t give up 200 rushing yards” and “Josh Allen can’t make those rookie mistakes”  and “The Packers got in the Bills heads last night and it effected their play” and it not be doom and gloom.

Yeah, that lower bowl is not nearly as big. That whole stadium looks like the Bills mid-upper sections.

However, Tottenham is the same size. 62K+ I think, and they managed to "cover" it all. The Bills should be able to do the same. Not sure what the issue is, but it must be structural or cost, or both.

I would guess cost. It can’t be structural since the same firm the designed Tottenhams stadium with cover.

I think he was referring specifically to people who were attacking him. "To all the people who have problems with me being injured ..."

Not a big Sammy fan, but he wasn't speaking to all of Buffalo, rude as that statement was.

I can’t really blame him, dude was getting awful ***** said to him about him and his family.

fans are apparently allowed to be awful pieces of garbage, but when that famous person/athlete whatever strikes back it’s their fault.

Watkins was nice when I encountered him, but to each their own.

$1.5 Billion and a brand new stadium isn’t nice? A stadium in OP …or Downtown for that matter…doesn’t warrant or would be able to support plazas, tons of retail, tons of restaurants…like a Sofi….or Nashville.

It is almost like they had a ton of qualified architects, engineers, business and marketing planners make sure they hit the proper balance with the available funds and local ability to support what’s built.

I didn’t say that at all. It’s great they are getting a new stadium it will be nice, But “Built for Buffalo” has severe undertones to it. They had options but choose the cheaper one, that we know.

There will still not be any reasonable hotels within walking distance, any reasonable places to grab a bite to eat, no public transport to the stadium, no place for people to gather after the game besides the parking lots etc.

Not everyone wants to just sit in the parking lot and drink. I get wanting to build to that experience because that’s the majority though.

After giving it time to digest, I gotta say that I'm really happy with how the stadium looks.

I wasn't too impressed at first, especially with the exterior, but now really like it.  It suits our team and the area.

It's nothing "over-the-top", but is very practical, with a modern, clean feel to it.

I would be happy to sit in any of those seats to watch a game.  Great sight-lines, with a balanced feel between a big open-aired stadium, and a modern one with a roof.  (I do hope the roof extends further than what this rendering appears to show.)

In regards to the exterior... is that all mesh covering the entire stadium?

It's purpose it to basically "absorb" some of the wind, so it all doesn't swirl around the building and onto the field, right?  If so, it makes sense.

What an exciting time to be a Bills fan!

    Thank God.

there is one part/tone of your post that infuriates me about this region “it’s not fancy, it’s suits Buffalo we don’t need any of the over the top stuff ”

it’s that kind of thinking that keeps this area stuck. “We don’t need nice things”

sorry for my mini rant just can’t stand the “because we’re Buffalo we don’t really need nice things.”

The bills are trending to be an all time great nfl team

Let's see this Sabres team squeek into the playoffs, or even play a meaningful game in February before putting them on that tier

Oh man Jason Botterill “we want to play meaningful games in March”

all but eliminated from the playoffs by end of December that year. 🤦🏻‍♂️

How is that relevant? I never said they wanted to move.

My bad I thought you were saying like many that if the pegs didn’t get their way they would leave.

They get a brand new stadium but that would be factored in to the relo cost.

To move from Buffalo to anywhere would be very costly for them, it’s very relevant.

  8. 50 minutes ago, LeGOATski said:

They are adding a little of their own cash. On the other hand, I'm sure they wouldn't mind being in a huge market like Atlanta or Los Angeles, but the fact is that they're in Buffalo.

You realize the relocation fee would have been near a billion dollars for them to move right?

    Looks awesome.

Can anyone tell what it says over that balcony area at the far end zone?

    "Leaders Deck"?

I think it says legends deck. Probably a spot for past Bills to enjoy the game without having to deal with fans.

add- or a potential high priced ticket that puts you in the same area as Bills legends.

With a stadium, the seating bowl is pretty much a seating bowl. After you get past the roof, or no roof, the differences are in the areas outside the bowl itself. Most importantly, in the concourse areas…which are non existent at Rich Stadium. That’s why I’m shocked that they didn’t present any images of those areas. Those spaces are going to be the REAL upgrade.

I hope the devil is in the details.

I want it to be known you are walking into the Bills house. Think Bell Center in Montreal or Rogers center I think it’s still called in Toronto.

I want Buffalos, Bills logos, Bills colors everywhere. A giant Buffalo In The opposing locker room. Bills highlights on TVs as the opposing players are walking out of the tunnel etc.

Not necessarily maximize it, but it certainly is an advantage for us over the years- especially from a kicking standpoint.  Over time, our kickers / punters get used to the all the intricacies and nuance of kicking in our stadium w/ unique wind pattern, but visiting kickers aren't.

There is zero evidence to support this. You can’t predict wind.

the Buffalo weather home field advantage is a long myth.

it came out In the 90s when the Bills had one of the best teams In The league and Marvs clever slogan.

it went away when the team was bad, it was proved to be non existent and actually caused the Bills to lose a game they had no business losing (Pats)

players and the league have changed. Most players want comfort and zero weather impact.

Style is always subjective but these are two very different stadium locations. Nashville’s design is a downtown location and I believe the architects are trying to create a downtown vibe with lots of balconies facing the streets so people can be seen in the stadium bars and restaurants, ‘hanging out’ before during and after the game. The other difference with a downtown design is that you cannot get far enough away from the facility to view it all at one time. The narrow streets and surrounding buildings block that kind of vista. The Orchard Park location is in the middle of a parking lot, so you can take in the entire stadium upon arrival. But unlike Nashville there’s no surrounding street atmosphere to engage with, so balconies and patios are somewhat superfluous.

Again, this isn’t about style. It’s about the stadium experience.

if it’s a direct copy of Tottenham Hotspur, then I am 1000% on board.

if it’s a stripped down version of that stadium because they needed to cut cost, and because Buffalo there is where I start to have issue.

    what’s another 20-25 million when you’re spending 1.2 billion

The domeheads have been waiting for this day so they could cry.... about it not being a dome.

I believe the renderings look very much like what they promised, assuming you actually read what they promised and didn't start making up ideas in your head.

Yea well you open air facepeople suck.

I have to agree. In the world of architecture, this would be considered a bare minimum presentation for a project of this scale and public interest. Not exactly sure what’s going on here.

What is your opinion of the overall situation, obviously you have questions and have said you don’t know what’s going on.

but how could they mess this up this badly?

renderings obviously could change but would you say this is 99.9% going to be it?

I love how the Bills got pressured into finally releasing some renderings by how fast Tennessee made theirs available to the public. Without that we would have waited another six months or more.

With that I can’t believe how hard the bills and their marketing team failed on this one.

the Tennessee release had a fly in video had some clips of the Titans playing had different views of the new stadium and some aspects about it.

the Bills….. here are two ***** pictures.

Just to clarify for people, these renderings are NOT drawn with a pencil. We create renderings these days by simply taking a screen image of the 3D computer model of the actual architectural design and then use a software filter to make the images appear to be hand drawn. I guarantee they are 100% accurate. Now, that doesn’t mean that the perspective can be a bit deceiving.

I hope that clears up some of the confusion.

look at this guy, how would you know….
