  1. Is this the theory that the Buffa-Slug worked so well for turning the Sabres around, that we should adopt it too? I would want to see the 60's throwbacks, however I would not mind the 90's jerseys with the white charging buffalo helmets.
  2. Actually there have been 26 coaches to win the Super Bowl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Super_Bowl_head_coaches) and of them 11 coaches, (Lombardi, Stram, McCafferty, Flores, Gibbs, Ditka, Parcells, Seifert, Johnson, Holmgren and Vermeil) have gone on to coach again (With Gibbs coaching in Washington again). I would say that when you consider almost half of all Super Bowl winners have gone on to coach again (and haven't won a single one), there is sufficient data. Trends can be broken, and I, like most others, would love to see Cowher here. I also have no problem with an up and coming coordinator, as it has been proven that they can work, and we shouldn't just give up cause we screwed it up twice.
  3. More likely, given the choice he would rather win the Super Bowl and risk the loss of the Bills job, if we get someone else. If we don't get someone else, he is worth more, and if we do get someone else, he coaches somewhere else and enjoys his nice SB ring.
  4. Failed HC over up and coming DC? The guy has a lifetime 18-37 record as a HC. I am pretty sure that if you gave me NFL talent, I could accidentally win almost that many games. I have no problem with a Coordinator, and as long as he brings a real OC, I would have no problem watching Frazier walking our sideline.
  5. Or, he wants to wait and have his shot at winning a Super Bowl with his current team. Then after he has done that, come interview and command more money as a Super Bowl winning DC.
  6. Screw Kitty Hoynes, go to Clark's Alehouse and get the Roast Beef.
  7. Just to throw some semantics out there, we are undefeated this decade.
  8. I can see Brady getting the nod, but I think what Caddillac Williams did was far more impressive. Even if he was on an awful team.
  9. His son, but that is about it.
  10. That is what I was saying, I would much rather have LeFevour in the 2/3rd round than the smaller, less fundamentally sound Tebow in the first. All I was saying was that even for this team (who reaches a round or two early on a lot of draft picks) this would be considered a reach.
  11. In order to interview coaches who are on teams that are in the playoffs, the interview has to be set up at the coaches convenience this week for teams that have a bye, next week for teams that win in the wild card round, and between the NFC/AFC Championship game and Super Bowl. There isn't much time for us to be able to interview them, and it has to be done according to that coach/team, while they are preparing for their playoff game (which is apparently what comes after the regular season for good teams).
  12. Taking Tebow #9 overall would be a big reach, even for this team. I can deal with Bradford, though I would rather take LeFevour (and we can get him two rounds later.) If McClain declares and we can still get him, I would love to see it, but if not Bulaga, McCoy, or Okung (any available) has to be where we go. Also, I think I am in a Fantasy league with you, weird.
  13. Like to note that we are 1-0 in the new decade. Go Bills!
  14. 1. OT 2. OT 3. DT 4. DT 5. LB
  15. As an aside, after the last two weeks, can we please now be done with all of the Trade Marshawn/Cut Marshawn threads. The guy is a monster, runs hard and is getting his legs. He hadn't had a hole to run through for four weeks and only getting 8 carries a game doesn't help.
  16. No..... its Shannahanniginns
  17. Wait you are cousins with Brendan Shannahan?!!!!??
  18. Question, and I know that people here seem to really hate on him, but I would like to note that Van Pelt has called two really good games in a row. I am not sure how much Dick took control of actual play calling and hamstrung Van Pelt, but is there any other reason to not keep him, other than the fact we are bringing in a new HC?
  19. Lafavour or Max Hall to Hardy/Owens and Evans is my goal for next year. Need a big guy.
  20. That isn't totally true though. When we were a perennial Super Bowl contender, all the talk was always about how bad for the NFL it would be if we were to make/win the Super Bowl. Buffalo has never gotten any love, the difference is the teams of the 90's used to thrive on that, these guys just don't care. Hopefully whoever the new coach is brings back the chip-on-their-shoulder attitude.
  21. Someone else asked if, considering it is the Bills, he would even consider going there. Schefter then said, hes listening. Making it sound more like he is interested, than he isn't.
  22. I wouldn't call a guy who dominated the SEC in the one year he started, and led his team to the National Championship a nobody. I fall in the intrigued category with Brohm, interested in seeing what he can do, but don't have very high expectations.
  23. Didn't we just get done with a coach like that? ...or was he really alive?
  24. Best birthday present I could have received!
  25. Once he gets healthy and we see what he does in Canada, it might not be a bad idea. I vote Max Hall. Cold weather, big arm.
