  1. I seen some of his stuff before and he is both wrong and right - wrong because the earth is no where near it's carrying capacity in a theoretical sense - right because those theoretical limits can not be gotten close to in a world where greed, ignorance and fear based reactions reign supreme. Yes fossil fuels are going to get more expensive at some point but even now there continues to be large oil and gas finds and new techniques to extract much more oil and gas out of existing wells- more importantly homes/lighting/appliances can be built that would allow you the same level of comfort you now enjoy at one tenth the energy usage.
  2. I think you are missing a question mark (This thread is more retarded than you?) the question is, could 3rdrate participate in a thread more retarded than himself? reminds me of the old "Can God make a rock so big He can't pick it up?" question.
  3. DrDareustein has it exactly right although I would have said "what type of dunce gives a flying !@#$" I don't care if Palin had premarital sex, an affair or did porn or tried drugs as long as she's not a hypocrite about it- beyond differences in ideology my concern with Palin is she didn't seem prepared and according to reports wasn't very interested in getting prepared, like GWB she seems to have little intellectual curiosity and an aversion to hard mental work.
  4. The answer Ron Paul should have given is this " of course he'd get medical care, we are a civilized and humane country that believes life is sacred but when he woke up and got better he'd have his medical bills waiting, then he'd have a choice of working out a repayment of those bills or bankruptcy" The question was kinda stupid and the answer was stupid
  5. My link If you click on the link you'll get an idea of what American PV panel manufacturers are up against.
  6. Salmonella poisoning is no laughing matter- and is not uncommon during wing eating contests as they try to get the wings to the table as fast as possible.
  7. Easy- because the Bills are filled to the Brim with players who haven't done it in the NFL, a couple players who've done it one year and a couple players who have had a track record but haven't done it in a couple years- the Bills are filled with unproven players which is not the same as filled with bad players- On offense the only player who has shown that he is a high level NFL player for multiple years is Fred Jackson on Defense you have Kyle Williams maybe Dwan Edwards, Merriman was a star but most thought he was done- Look the Redskins of all teams looked pretty good, with Rex Grossman and had some second to last 7th round NT (Chris Neild) getting 4 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble- probably some Redskin fan on a board right now ranting on how their media sucks for not knowing Grossman and Neild were all stars.
  8. Brilliant analysis Some less informed individuals might point to the very high rates of unemployment in the Black youth sector. and some might point to the rise of social media and technology yes some when confronted by a new behavior might look for recent changes in the environment but not you- you are too smart for that malarkey, even though crime rates have always risen and fallen in a cyclical manner - for example crime rates started going up in the mid 1950s hit a peak around 1980 and has been on a downward trend at least to 2009- but all that is for lessor lights so now I'm sure you are going to prove that the LBJ great society programs not only correlate with flash mobs but are the causation of flash mobs and I'm sure you are going to do this without talking out your ass and pitiful anecdotal evidence.
  9. Has anyone mentioned that the number of troops in Iraq is up to the Iraqi government, at least if our word is good- it could be as low as zero- 3000 is just the low end of the range the Obama Administration is looking at in negotiations with the Iraqi government, there is internal pressure to get the American military out altogether but if we offer the right combination of bribes, fear-mongering, and veiled threats I'm sure we will be allowed to be militarily present at a satisfactory level.
  10. As moves go it was at least reasonable, Young will back up Pears at RT freeing up Hairston to take most of his reps at LT.
  11. It tells me that management at the big three were producing cars of crappy quality from the early 70s all the way up to the mid 90s at which time they started to narrow the quality gap reaching basic parity with the Japanese in the mid 2000s, then it took about five more years for that quality parity to start to be accepted by the public and it will probably take another 5 years to be fully accepted. It also tells me that our free trade policies have more correlation with the decline of the middle-class than anything with the Unions. Union membership peaked in 1954 at 28.3% and has declined since, 2009 statistics has union membership at 7.6%- if your theory of Unions destroying the middle-class were true wouldn't the middle-class be getting stronger and stronger as Union membership declined.
  12. I'm not going to ask you to prove causation of your claim but can you at least show correlation?
  13. What Mexico should have done is send some drones over to bomb the terrorist ATF headquarters - Wells Fargo is laundering cartel money and the ATF is facilitating the arming the Cartels, Imagine if China was supporting and arming organized crime in this country.
  14. as I've said for 2 and a half years Obama is owned by corporate interests despite any rhetoric- talk is cheap and as the bible says you "will know them by their fruits"- of course this leaves progressives in a bind, support Obama and the signal is !@#$ with us any way you want and we will still support you, withdraw support and risk someone you think is crazy destroying the country- right now a me and a lot of other progressives are thinking let Rick Perry or Michele Bachmann burn the place down and we'll rebuild on the ashes.
  15. While there are superstars like Suh and hopefully Dareus who make immediate impacts- DTs like WRs generally blossom in their third season- I'm old enough to remember a time in the NFL when there wasn't such pressure for young players to be immediate stars, I wonder if the rookie pay cap will allow young players more development time in the future.
  16. Right about the middle of the lefty libertarian green square.
  17. Actually they are pretty equivalent backs the problem is one was taken with the #10 overall pick- let me put it this way, I didn't like the pick and at the time I thought that Spiller was going to much much better than he has been up to this point- Recently signed Chris Johnson who had one of the best years any RB got his team to 8-8 during that year- it's a passing league and while you need a competent RB the RB isn't the difference maker( where is Adrian Peterson? exactly) quality at QB, Oline and WR is much more important- Fred Jackson not Chris Johnson is the perfect back for a winning team- a versatile guy who can get tough yards and can contribute in the passing game as a receiver or as a pass blocker.
  18. One of the dumbest thing Obama did was put the wars on budget because it allows idiots to think Obama is spending way more than Bush.
  19. China has decided to own that industry and sans protectionist policies in the rest of the world they will.
  20. This Tea Party is made for you.
