I don't understand why this boarder patrol agent is going to jail, seems a little bizarre - of course there has been many examples of law enforcement in this country committing heinous acts and suffering no penalty and I've never understood when that happens either.

Quickly - we are always going to have income inequality, we are always going to have the rich, whether private or corporate having influence beyond the ordinary in politics, we are always going to have corruption where there is power- but there will be levels of such that engender outrage in the populous and finally push back- we are reaching a tipping point in this country where many institutions are seen as no longer legitimate and are either going to reform or will chose to rule the only way illegitimate institutions can. -

I've stated many times that I think Obama is in the pocket of the financial industry and other corporations, further I've stated that not only has he continued the unconstitutional abuses of power seen under Bush but he has expanded on them and transparency in government bad under Bush is even worse under Obama. Obama's health care program despite a few bright spots was a give away to the insurance industry and the pharmaceutical industry. On the second point potential fraud should be investigated and where found prosecuted. -
I knew we had intersection traffic cameras at some of our main intersections in Buffalo but I've now seen a couple at the intersection of little side streets - one between Bailey and Eggert in the University district and the other one off Abbott in South Buffalo- just wondering if this is common throughout Buffalo, neither location looked like it had much traffic, just seemed odd.

Dog help; Has this ever happened?
....lybob replied to Clippers of Nfl's topic in Off the Wall Archives
If your dog chews wood (I had a dog that use to chew through the dowels in my drying rack) check and see if there's a sliver anywhere in the mouth, the other thing is getting the dew claw caught (I don't even know if they make couches with that kinda rough loopy material anymore but back in the day my dog occasionally got her dew claw caught in it). -

I'll just speak for myself, I begrudge no one getting rich through providing a better good or product I begrudge the hell out of someone getting rich through fraud or gaming the system, I think this country has a two tier legal system on the lower tier we have more people imprisoned on a per capita bases than anywhere else on earth (The United States has 4% of the world's population and 25% of the world's incarcerated population) but on the upper tier during a financial crisis with trillions of wealth destroyed no one is prosecuted. We are fast reaching the point where government is losing all legitimacy (in many ways OWS is a response to Obama's total failure to fulfill his promised reforms). As for the slogan 99%, it's a lot catchier than trying to fit ( constitutional amendment refuting Citizens United, Campaign reform, reinstate Glass Stegal, abolish Financial Services Modernization Act, 1% financial transaction tax, etc etc) -

And if you weren't either a robot or autistic you'd understand that the occupy wall street movement is not protesting your piddling company- they are protesting both the bribers (financial industry, military industrial complex, Big energy, pharmaceutics, etc and the bribed our whorish politicians. The core grievance is political influence being blatantly bought by corporate money. -

Withdrawal From Iraq By Year End, but is the war over?
....lybob replied to Jauronimo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What, you think we should have PPP-right, PPP-left and PPP-center where we can all be in a big circle jerk with people who agree with us, that don't sound like fun at all. -

I'd be a little more concerned with this -
We can't build high speed rail, that's for advanced countries in Europe,or Japan and China. Those nuts in China plan to invest $451 to $602 billion in its high-speed rail network between 2011 to 2015, don't those fools know money like that should only be spent for wars. I'm sure the hundreds of billions we spent in Iraq and Afghanistan will provide a much better payback than a stupid high speed rail system.

Hey don't forget Democracy Now, PressTV, The RealNews, BBC, Bloomberg, and shamefully MSN, plus through PPP I have Dave's Ridicule/Be Afraid of people of color channel, and a diversity of right wing nut jobs, Ayn Rand fanboys, and defenders of corporate fraud and malfeasance , to distill the essence of FOX and other right leaning media for me. btw I love TYT because Cenk really seems to piss youse guys off. -

4-3 or not 4-3, that is the question...
....lybob replied to XrazyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see the temptation because Williams and Dareus would be awesome DTs in a 4-3, Carrington, Edwards, and Johnson could rotate Between LE and DT, Heard would a DT only, the Bills would lack a legit RE (unless, one of our OLBs could fill but I don't see it). LBs would be a total mess (I'd guess 2-3 might be able to make the transition- White, Sheppard, Barnett maybe). The crux of the problem in my mind is 1. Williams is both one of our best players and not a traditional NT or 3-4 DE but more importantly 2. we don't have Stud OLBs which is where most of your sacks and pressures come from in a traditional 3-4. -
Lets say the Bills go LB in 2012- I like Burfict and think he could play OLB as well as ILB and really I think Upshaw could play any LB in the 3-4 too, who do you like if you had your pick of LBs

With the internet there's always news - if you think just what's shown on TV is news then you're right. -

internet, cell phones, social media and hilariously google maps where they got to have an aerial view of all the palaces, mansions and what not- doctorate college degree professionals get pissed when they make $12,000 a year and live in tiny apartments when royalty or the politically connected doing very little live in mansions. -
The U.S. Bankruptcy Code does not place an automatic stay on the seizing of collateral used in complex financial instruments like credit default swaps. Normally, creditors owed money for loans or bonds are prohibited from immediately seizing collateral when a company files for bankruptcy but changes to the bankruptcy code have removed that automatic stay from counterparties to swaps and other financial derivatives, which are privately negotiated between sophisticated players here maybe this will help you understand

different estimates - low 2,000 high 50,000 Sirte was bombed/shelled extensively- one thing for certain is that they destroyed a hell of a lot of infrastructural, of course the children dying from water born diseases aren't usually counted - people dying in hospitals because of power shortages or lack of supplies who cares. further who really thinks Gaddafi's death is the end of the blood shed? I doubt it. Other issues revolve on Constitutional and international law being violated but I find very few people on the left or right who care about the rule of law. -
