Safety. He'll replace Byrd once he's traded to Dallas for a six pack of Lone Star beer.

Both sound like something the Bills and Jerry would do.

I can understand why people will dump the season with EJ out. He missed a good portion of preseason and now will miss a quarter of regular season. EJ needs to be in and be given a chance to play the game the way he knows how. With the way the first few games have been the play calls have been "varied". Some have made him shine and others have made him look awful. That's the nature of the game. Plenty of other QB's were held back and looked like garbage their first season but he does have the all the assets to be a very good if not great QB.
The defense, I'm not worried about until Pettine leaves. We pretty much have the same group of guys (plus Kiko) and they look like a defense that most teams will never take for granted.
I'm not concerned with the remainder of the season with EJ out because we can win or lose with or without him. I just want to see progression from the status quo.

Should we say the same about the guy who took out EJ's knee?
My only input on that is Kiko was tackling the body, "guy" went low from the start. He could have easily pushed him OOB but went for a low tackle on the sideline.

Today was a perfect day for me at work. Disaster one after the other and quitting time came out of nowhere. Now just need to kill another 3 1/2 hours.

I hope to God he has been recognized and there is a game plan to stop him . The way we did not attend to Amendola drove me nuts . I also want to see McGahee shutdown too for obvious reasons . Go bills
I can see McGahee get probably 15 carries tops.

As far as I'm concerned, the only rankings that matter are Football Outsiders' and they have us somewhere between 10th and 18th.
Agreed.
That's because it's an accurate ranking based on statistics. Most people just automatically bump us down 3 or 4 spots because we're the Bills.

Also best run defense in the NFL after 4 games. In which they've given up 5 rushing TDs.
Bill's have given up 1 rushing, 8 in the air. Browns have 5 rushing and 2 in the air on D.
I really don't know if that defense stacks up the way that everyone thinks it does. They are gonna be Baltimore all over again. No running game and pass all day.

BUT... both Spiller and Jackson got hurt (sprained ankle, sprained knee, short week). Both will try to play but at well below 100%. Could be a problem for them, especially against the best run defense in the entire NFL (2.9 YPC)
I know they are hurting but Ravens were in the top 5 in run D last week and that didn't matter.

I know leading in fumbles is bad but we only lost 4 of them. Glenn couldn't fall right the other day so that should have taken it down to 3. Look at the Giants, 7 fumbles, 6 lost. That's really bad. Fumbles usually result in loss of yards and such but I don't think we have been bad in that category (now I'm curious if there is a stat for yardage lost after the fumble is recovered by the fumbling team).

Just call it "Kiko's the Mike". He pretty much always is and will be come the next time Brady sees him. It's to distinguish rushers, zones and such. So if he is sitting to the left of the line and doesn't rush, receivers/QBs know where the zone coverage is. If he does rush, the lineman responsible knows to pick him up.
I honestly didn't know til I heard Brady call out Scott and did some research. Never played football.

Why is anyone shedding tears for Byrd at this point? I mean, the guy's shown NO desire to be in Buffalo. Shoulda franchised/traded him.
Didn't realize I was shedding a tear for him. I've said time and time again, just keep him active and don't IR him. I want him to at least participate in practices if we are going to be paying him through the season (no free ride/vacation).
He's gone at the end of the year either way because they won't franchise him for ~9mil and I don't see him wanting a contract, or the bills offering him anything better, after his cry baby antics.
And they did franchise him, hence his holdout/I'm not 100% BS.

Hell, Carrington will be ready to play before Byrd at this rate.
