  1. "your business dealings?" Why would you need to guess what your own business dealings are? Perhaps you can only assume that you are in that business because you are not quite sure. What are you selling? It's apparently pretty good. Don't worry I don't judge as long as it is nothing that is addictive or overly destructive. Here is the link to the ESPN article about Peters being a LT for part of 2006, 2007 and 2008. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4077093 Compare that to his contract information which hopefully is still on rotoworld unless they only retain info on the most recent contract. He was paid early in or prior to the 2006 season as a RT. Midway through that season they promoted him to LT and he played 2006, 2007 and 2008 on his RT salary. Those cheap bastards at 1BD wouldn't compensate him and every year the price got higher. If they took care of him midway through 2007 or before 2008 we would have been set at the LT position for the foreseeable future. Instead we have what we have now!!!! Way to save a buck Ralph and Russ!!!!
  2. Well thanks for arguing the minutia of my post. Your right. Peters will have to play 1 more game to play more complete games than Wood. What in the hell does Jones Jennings, who was old when we traded him, have to do with a 26 year old probowl LT that has only been playing LT for 3 years in the pros? Do you really think they have anywhere near the same upside when we got rid of them? No how about addressing the meat? If I may translate there is NO EVIDENCE WHAT SO EVER TO POINT TO THE FACT THAT PETERS WOULD NOT PLAY HERE!!!! You implied something that you have no proof what so ever of it being true. This is what gets people like Leonidas all in a lather because they hear these implications and sourceless rumors and actually believe they are true. They latch on to half truths and unsubstantiated grumblings to justify their hate of the man that took a paycheck over their beloved Buffalo instead of continuing to play for peanuts.
  3. Blahbity blah blah blah! For someone that talks so much you say nothing of importance or relevance. I'll demonstrate. So we were both wrong about how many draft picks is what you are saying? I guess that makes you a moron too, moron. Heh heh. Again I thought we went over this but don't use the probowl is useless defense. It's dumb! Player X didn't deserve to go in year Y so the ENTIRE PROBOWL SELECTION PROCESS IS INVALID!!! If you understand the phrase do you comprehend what type of "leap of logic" that is? Come on man. I hope you are smarter than that and I hope you think the people on this forum are smarter than that. I really do. If not then I really have been wasting my time even though it has been fun. Consider this about Peters before you go spouting off your hate again.: "A great success story for the Bills, Peters was an undrafted tight end out of Arkansas. After his rookie season, Peters was converted into an offensive lineman, and started 10 games at right tackle in 2005. He moved over to the left side midway through the following season. Buffalo eventually turned him into one of the best left tackles in the game." What is of particular interest in there is that Peters was paid as a RT and played LT for 2006, 2007, 2008 and we wouldn't give him LT money? Almost 3 years after his promotion to LT no raise in pay? I wouldn't stand for that in my business dealings. Anyone who would put up with that is a punk biatch who is afraid to stand up for themselves and demand to be paid for the job they do. I know I haven't made it easy and given you a way to save face to get out of the argument but really it's so painfully clear what happened in Buffalo with him. If you want to hate him for all the BS ok but just realize you are being a whiny you know what that bought into the front office propoganda. Boo hoo us he didn't continue to play at an incredible discount because Ralph is cheap and Russ Brandon was trying to flex his new GM muscles.
  4. Hrm you call him a fat lazy malcontent but there's no hate there. ROFLOL. You are a complete joke buddy! Keep em coming though. They are good for a laugh. You even contradict yourself. Your hate is so obvious to everyone but you it's hilarious. Even your statements about whether it was a good deal or not for Philly is rife with your silliness. If he plays like Pace or Ogden?!?!??!?! DUDE ...stop I am getting stitches over hear from laughing. So IF he performs like the 2 best tackles to EVER play the game of football in the HISTORY of the NFL, then and only then will Philly have gotten a good deal. WOW....just...WOW. Oh by they way we got 2 draft picks for Peters not 4. Man it's like arguing with a stubborn 16 year old. They know they're wrong and the old man is right but they will never admit they are sadly over matched for the argument.
  5. So here is what I asked for a link to the details of "QUOTE (uforesircher @ Nov 23 2009, 06:00 PM) * He stated that he was going to leave here anyways - no matter the offer. He was done when his current contract was over. He did not want to be here. The offer we made him, I think, was more than what he accepted from Philthy. SO you keep a mal-content on the roster and get nothing for him when he does leave? I think not." I'll summarize ufore's statement and ask how Russ Brandon's comments back these up 1) He was going to leave regardless of the offer the Bills made 2) Our offer was bigger than Philly's NOTHING ANYONE HAS EVER SAID BACKS UP THESE CLAIMS THAT THE HATERS MAKE DAILY!!!! Get the facts straight before you spew BS to try to back up your veiled hatred of Peters. Points to consider. 1)Who cares if it was the largest contract the Bills have ever offered? This has absolutely zero relevance to anything. If it's not enough it's not enough. If it's not fair market value it's not fair market value. 2) I also heard this rumor of his intention to play out his contract and leave for greener pastures. If there is any validity to this it sounds like him caving in to play LT for the Bills at the agreed upon RT salary. After fulfilling his contractual obligation at a HUGE discount he might not have wanted to be associated with a team that wouldn't compensate him for his talent. See how I address these points as rumor because I have no proof of them. It's called integrity in ones writing. Malcontent? Really? Please provide me with a few examples of his malcontent behavior!!!! PLEASE don't be so numb sculled as to try to point out his hold out and KEEPING HIS MOUTH SHUT as malcontent behavior. Sadly a hold out was the only bargaining power he had. I hate the system but it's part of the game.
  6. Uh...link please substantiating this claim?....I'll mock you ahead of time because I KNOW you have no information that can back this up AT ALL! QUIT MAKING **** UP!!!! When will people see the football world and the Bills organization clearly? We don't pay for elite talent!!!!! Maybe Russ Brandon REALLY is that good of a GM. He can underpay a probowl LT and then somehow make the guy look bad in the public eye with a significant group of the Joe the plumber six pack types. He trades away one of the best LT in the league and gets a 4th round rookie TE, who I have great hopes for by the way, and a C converted to G who now has a bum leg who will miss MANY more games than Peters. Nobody seems to care that Peters was injured all last year. They conveniently forget that when they try to bash his performance last year. Tell the whole story people! Quit trying to spin things and you will see what we lost and we should be angry with how the front office handled things not applauding their cheapness.
  7. LOL. "Football Jesus". AWESOME
  8. I agree but I thought I would be nice for once and ask for someone to provide proof before I said they were flat out wrong. There has no been no substantive evidence to back this up just plenty of haters on the forum repeating it enough times to the point where some believe it. If I'm not mistaken most of the "negotiations", or lack there of where conducted in private. Also If I am not mistaken Russ Brandon in a media savvy move spoke first about details of the negotiations.
  9. Could you please provide a link substantiating your claim?
  10. A breath of objective fresh air.
  11. Is it me or did you just use the textbook version of the probowl means nothing defense? Step 1: Attempt to find a flaw in the system by finding one player they don't think deserves a pro bowl Step 2: Extrapolate to invalidate Peters nomination Step 3: Throw out the baby with the bath water Really? This is what I am talking about. Silly argument. Hey I can see somebody arguing the subtleties of player X vs player Y. That happens all of the time. What many don't realize is that Player X and Y are BOTH good which is the reason why they are both in the discussion. For the "pro bowl means nothing or is a popularity contest crowd" you actually have to say they are nominating BAD or MEDIOCRE players. Really? Come on! Let the hate go! I guess since you know so much you should get a GM or director of pro scouting job. All of those experts that think Peters is what I think he is....screw them!!!! You know better than any of us do buddy. We bow to your inflated football head of knowledge and irreproachable wisdom. How could I doubt a faceless voice on an internet forum and trust those clowns with actual NFL experience? Those blow hard coaches, scouts and commentators don't have 1/100th the NFL experience and knowledge you have!!!! By the way I never had a problem with Ruben Brown. He did get old, something Peters is not, but he was still a solid lineman when healthy.
  12. Well thought out factual intelligence post....LOL....why waste forum space with that kind of retort. At least respond with something of value. A plausible retort. I know I'm a jerk on these posts sometime but people never respond with intelligent arguments when you completely shred their BS reasons for hating Peters. I'm looking for a worthy opponent that has something to actually show factually when they state things as fact not just that they don't like the guy.
  13. ROFLOL!! This is exactly what I am talking about. Buffalo is SO popular that an incredible ground swell support of fan voting trumps all of the expert player and coach opinions to make Peters a pro bowler!!! DUDE...STOP....I'm trying to eat lunch. You are going to make coffee come out of my nose!!!!!! That Farve guy sucks by the way. I guess since he was injured last year with a torn tendon and who knows what else he wasn't and isn't still one of, if not the, best QBs to have ever played the game. Typical extreme Peters haterism. Step 1: Attempt to find a flaw in the system by finding one player they don't think deserves a pro bowl Step 2: Extrapolate to invalidate Peters nomination Step 3: Throw out the baby with the bath water Phew....OK...think I calmed down. Let me hear another one of the Peters haters zingers. Make up something really good though. Like he swore he would never play in Buffalo again and no matter how much Brandon offered him he wouldn't have stayed.
  14. It was in response to your statement about taking off the rose colored glasses. It just means that your opinion of his performance and what you see is colored by the hatred you have for the man. Sorry to lump you all together but the group of people out there that disagree with ALL of the experts that matter on the Peters situation and find some columnist in some podunk town or internet blog or forum that agrees with them as validation of their point is laughable. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but when they disagree with the experts so completely and make inaccurate statements they set themselves up for ridicule of their arrogance and insults to their intelligence. When they say things like: 1) He gave up 2 sacks when at best he can be attributed with a 1/2 sack. Let's ignore he was GREAT in the run game. 2) Peters wouldn't play for anything less than $12 million a year. He is making 10.5 if I am not mistaken and players RARELY RARELY ever actually get the full value or term of their contract. 3) Probowls mean nothing it's a popularity contest. Buffalo is unpopular so how again does this explain his nomination? 4) Peters just got a new contract then he wanted another. He got a nice RT contract then they promoted him to LT and we didn't want to pay him for his promotion. 5) Wood is a STUD and will be a rock on our line for years to come...I hope so but we have ABSOLUTELY ZERO proof of or expectation of this as I constantly challenge people to backup with examples of his on field performance. Don't think he will be playing more games than Peters this year as many claimed either. Feel really bad for the kid but compound leg fracture for a guard? Sounds injury prone to me. etc, etc, etc....all incorrect statements made by the haters Why I respond is because it makes me laugh and brightens my day to see those SORRY SORRY ass sour grape excuses for why somebody is glad we don't have our probowl LT. It is even more funny when they try to claim that they are making these statements out of fact when it is so painfully obvious they are speaking from 95% emotion on the subject. "Hate colored glasses" if you will.
  15. You go bandit!!!! Don't let these losers try to make up stats and attribute sacks to Peters. It's a total joke. People so blinded by hate that they have to make things up and claim that probowls are popularity contests where the public's vote is all that matters. Let's just ignore the fact that the Bills get the least publicity in the league so how could overwhelming fan support and voting get Peters into the probowl?!?!?!?! The pro bowl means nothing camp is a joke. Really just sad. It is funny to bring it up now and then to see what kind of idiotic claims the haters make up for why it was a good idea to get rid of him. None of which can be proved by the way. They even go so far as to label Wood a future stud. A guy that was guaranteed to play more games than Peters who was soft. I have asked the haters what they see in Wood ON THE FIELD that shows them that this kid should be knighted into studhood and we should feel lucky we got him with Peters' draft pick. Then all I hear is crickets. Again....blind hatred of one guy warping your vision to think a rookie on a horrible offensive line is a stud and we made out in the trade losing a pro bowler. Seriously YOU HAVE TO LAUGH at that. It's just so crazy.
  16. He's also being praised by a lot of people. Just because you can find a handful of people that actually agree with you on an issue doesn't mean your viewpoint is accurate.
  17. That concept is beyond a lot of people. Don't use logic to fight emotion. You just end up getting frustrated and you can't educate the unwilling.
  18. YES!!! Now we need a QB that can get the WRs the ball more consistently. Fitz has proven to be better than Cpt Checkdown at it and Fitz is nothing special.
  19. Take off the hate colored glasses. He played a good game. Just again for the thick headed. Uhh.....PRO BOWL!!!!...2 timer at that. Sorry that your blind hate keeps you ignorant but the rest of the leagues players, coaches and scouts think he is that good and the eagles paid him like he is that good. Sorry I could care less about your opinion as compared to their's.
  20. Don't bother man. Haters just hate. When people make statements purely based on emotional hate using rational logic to try to explain to them why they are wrong is useless. It's just part of the human condition. I watched the game and he looked good. He was taking out his primary blocking assignment at the line of scrimmage AND THEN getting down field to make secondary blocks. McCoy looked PRETTY DAMN GOOD running to Peter's side. People like to forget this too but playing on the comeback from an injured ankle I think he did a good job of protecting McNabb's blind side. I saw some jackass that started one the the usual Peters looked terrible game day threads and wondered if it was Stevie Wonder watching the game because he obviously wasn't see what I was. HEY we should all be happy that Peters' is no longer in Buffalo as he is injury prone and has no heart. Fortunately we have Eric Wood who has proven himself to be a guaranteed stud pro bowler who will play more games than Peters this year!!!!!! *sigh* If it wasn't so sad I would laugh
  21. Well thanks again for your unsubstantiated opinion of why the Eagles were GLAD to shell out that kind of money for an elite LT. Now how about commenting on those thoughts about Wood and his "studhood!" Oh....ya...nothing to say.....no proof of his inevitable probowl appearances, studliness, ability to raise the level of play of people around him, accolades by the media and pundits? Wood COULD POSSIBLY be good but right now he has shown ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that could possibly give anyone any basis to say that we made out on the trade with Philly for Peters. How about we wait 2 or 3 years to see what he actually turns out to be. I have hopes for Wood and wish the best for him but it's people's blind hate of Peters that makes them say we made out on the trade. Trading in a pro bowl LT for an unknown unproven commodity is hardly a great deal. WE could just as easily be saying in 2 years that Wood is a bust for all we know.
  22. Does that also count for Peter's supposed lack of effort last year as well or does that excuse only play for people NOT named Peters?
  23. Nope....what I have is an understanding of "BARGAINING TACTICS"....look it up sometime. Usual when people negotiate each side asks for a better deal than they are actually willing to accept. Perhaps the basis of all capitalism. Might give you some insight to his "asking price" of $12 mil......Oh wait.....if you just hate the guy I guess you just throw that kind of logic out the door and come up with cockamamie explanations of his asking price like he would only stay with the Bills for $12 mil. Why not make up some more crap you can't in anyway shape or form prove or substantiate?
  24. MID LEVEL.....ROFLOL. When we people finally remember that he is a two time probowler and people are elected to the probowl in LARGE part due to their actual peers the players, the coaches who have to game plan against them and scouts with a bit of fan vote thrown in there as an after thought? Let me guess your another one of these guys that thinks their armchair talent opinion is correct and the actual professionals that get paid MILLIONS are actually wrong. Can't wait to see what team hires you as the next GM. " Superbowl here we come!!!!" I asked this of the Senator I think and I am still looking for someone with the stones to answer. WHY DO PEOPLE THINK WOOD IS A GUARANTEED STUD AND WE GOT THE BETTER OF THE TRADE!?!?!?!?? Seriously. He and Levire were thrust into starting roles on a line that cleared house. He plays RG on a terrible.....repeat TERRIBLE o-line? Other than occasionally pushing a defender to the ground and wrestling with him instead of picking up another defender to block at taking care of his primary blocking assignment what has he done to earn his STUD title? Our line is BAAAAAAADDDD!! What has he been doing to keep Trent or Fitz upright? What has he done to open holes on his side of the line in the running game? Before you go calling someone a STUD please look at their ACTUAL PLAY!!!!!
