  1. QUOTE (DarthICE @ Feb 17 2010, 12:04 PM) * The NFL line you talk about graduated last year, he had scrubs (including a TE starting at RT for the first game of the season aka the one where he got hurt) this year... but I am through arguing the point with you, you have proven you know nothing about the guy at all so anything you spew is pure speculation at best. Kind of seems like he is defeating his own argument doesn't it? Seems like he thinks it's important to have good protection in front of Bradford and that that is the reason he got hurt. Wouldn't it stand to reason that we should not repeat that mistake here in Buffalo? Let's stick with the young rebuilding theme on offensive line and get a 1st rd rookie LT prospect in there to shore things up and gel. The next franchise QB we try to draft should have the benefit of a cohesive O-line that has played together for more than a year that is able to open up holes in the run game and afford his QB some real protection.
  2. nice signature. I'm hoping for exactly the same thing for our first 2 picks. Of course these are pre combine picks we are making. I might actually be fine with Mt Cody or Cam Thomas in rd 2.
  3. If he makes those kinds of throws wouldn't it follow that there would be plenty of footage displaying that arm strength?!?!??! Come on man you have a chubby for this guy and it is clouding your objectivity. I really don't have anything against this guy I just HAVE NOT heard, or seen anything for that matter, about a "strong arm". Clausen has a strong arm, Bradford has an ok arm that is held together by paper clips and bandaids. If our line wasn't complete crap I would probably agree with you that QB is the #1 priority in the draft. Since our line is crap and our LT situation is compete **** because we tried to catch lightning in a bottle twice, but failed miserably, our biggest priority in the draft is LT imho. Once we can keep a QB upright we can get the franchise guy without giving him shell shock due to poor protection and lack of holes in the running game. That being said I DEFINITELY think we need a FA QB in here and there are SEVERAL to choose from who with a better line and a competent LT would be FAR AND AWAY better than what we had the last 2.5 years.
  4. Why when someone mentions that a QB, ANY QB, doesn't have a strong arm the defenders always say...well it's not as strong as Cutler, Farve, etc? Those guys have ELITE arm strength! We are talking regular old strong. Bradford is not regular old strong. He is probably college arm strong maybe but not NFL arm strong. I have watched some Youtube of him. I haven't had any luck finding them but show me clips of him throwing low altitude bombs (non-skyscraper rainbow) over 35yds in the air or fitting the ball into a tight window on a rope 15 yards down field. That is BASE level NFL strong arm. The guys in the NFL that have ELITE arm strength can throw 50+ yards in the air and throw balls into tight windows 20+ yards down the field. I think a lot of the guys that watch college football really don't get what NFL arm strength is all about. These are the same guys that say guys like Trent Edwards have a strong arm. College strong ...ok....NFL strong....not even close. They are just another in a long line of middle of the pack arm strength guys.
  5. Link please? Still campaigning hard for a QB at #9 huh? LOL
  6. No doubt. I wasn't trying to insinuate that it was the posters opinion. I was merely questioning the motivation for posting it. This is one of a couple thread I have seen that I believe mentions the same article about this years tackle class.
  7. He is a sissified girly man!!!!! LOL
  8. ANNNNNNNHHHHH on the strong arm. Matter of fact his arm has been discussed as being weak to at best "solid"? Definitely NOT strong! Keep the campaign going though
  9. Ah....the ever present imaginary trade down scenario....now all you have to do is get another team to want to trade up!!!!....lol
  10. Who cares? We have DBs coming out of our ass already.
  11. I think we would be lucky as hell to get Bulaga and we shouldn't crew up out pick like last year if he falls to us. He would fit in well with our other guys. I'm not sure what started the love fest for the other guys Woods and Levitre...actually I do know....it was simply the fact their names weren't Jason Peters. Anyhow, some have said they supposedly posses a nasty demeanor and crowned them as super stars before the regular season even started. Basically we "got Wood", LOL, with the pick we got for Jason Peters. That being said Bulaga would seem to fit this mold. It's been said that he is very talented, well coached and supposedly has that "nasty demeanor". Iowa gets kind of cold doesn't it? This guy has Buffalo written ALL over him. Short arms? Hadn't heard that one. How freakin' short can your arms be when you are 6' freakin 6"??!?!?!?!? *sheesh* Every time I see things like this it makes me think that the poster has a hidden agenda and really wants a QB or LB at #9 so they try to belittle the tackle prospects.
  12. WHAT??!?!? Don't think I agree with that at all. Now that you mention it most would say there is more uncertainty surrounding the QB position.
  13. Weaknesses ...Arm Strength and Mobility......*sigh*
  14. THANK THE FOOTBALL GODS!!!! FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT!!!!
  15. Kyle Williams is the little engine that could but I don't know if he can do that. I would like the guy at say RDE but not as the guy in the middle. We need 2 NTs. A starter and a backup catch your breath guy. One needs to come from the draft and one in FA. Casey Hampton as a free agent and a guy to groom from the draft. Or, Cam Thomas or Mt Cody to start and a veteran journeyman to spell him. Trying to move Kyle Williams to back up NT would be a bad move. I think he is just flat out TOO small compared to the other behemoths around the NFL. I also think that he deserves a shot to start and play RDE. Didn't he make the probowl as an alternate or injury sub or something? Stroud and Williams were penetrating tampa 2 DTs. I don't think it is much of a stretch to use them in that capacity from the 4 - 3 DE position. Check the signature.
  16. Pushing the buttons of Vick supporters is one thing. South Park racial humor about fill in the blank has nothing to do with Micheal Vick. In typical classless South Park fashion it attempts to address a serious situation about race that has nothing to do what so ever with Micheal Vick. Sometimes SP is funny but they make their living on racially, socially and politically charged topics. It was in poor taste in your application and had 100% nothing to do with Micheal Vick. It is funny that you use the word "rabid" to describe Micheal Vick supporters when it is the MV "haters" that in a rabid fashion continually run him down, question his contrition, his affect on the locker room and his ability as a QB. Just because you are tired of hearing people wine about his transgression doesn't mean you are a staunch supporter. It's that polarizing attitude that screws this world up. I am not voicing an opinion about "right to life" but being pro choice does not mean pro abortion and you are out there campaigning for unwed mothers to go out and use abortion as a replacement for condoms as a birth control method. Most people don't but you really have to take a look inside at why people are so insane about hating a guy that did some really bad things, literally lost everything for it, made his apologies, is attempting to make amends and is trying to go back to work at his chosen profession. YOU GUYS use every possible opportunity to spew your hate of the man for the crimes he committed that even though the law says he has paid his dues you still can't get over. Who is "rabid" now?
  17. What is your statute of limitations on: HUMAN rights violations? Racism? Theft of billions by corporate criminals? Abuse of performing enhancing drugs? Please share with us your own personal justice system. Me .... I'll stick to the good old fashioned American justice system. If you don't like it...change it or leave. Doesn't mean I love the man but he served his time and deserves to try to make a new life for himself. You are of course entitled to your opinion but understand that it means VERY little.
  18. I run into jackasses like you all day long. You walk that line because you think it's funny to say stupid **** like that in a racially charged situation and then claim to not be racist. I'm not saying it is racist but it's in poor taste, stupid and usually incites anger in people. You're probably also the jackass that tells dead relative jokes at a funeral. No class. Time and place buddy. Wrong time....wrong place.
  19. What are you talking about??!?!?!? Europeans just came over here, killed the indigenous HUMAN FREAKING BEINGS that lived here, stole their land and effective put them in unfenced concentration camps while infecting them with viruses they had no natural defense for. THIS GUY DID BAD THINGS TO ANIMALS!!!! THAT IS UNFORGIVABLE!!!!!
  20. As will people continue to attack him after he has done his time, lost a few years of freedom and every dollar he ever made. But hey, THAT'S NOT ENOUGH, lets continue to drag this guy behind the pick up truck. That's what a lot of people don't get. Some people are able to forgive and forget. Doesn't mean they want to hang out with the guy for beers. Doesn't mean you want him sleeping with your sister. Doesn't mean we invite him over to Sunday dinner. It just means he did some terrible things, did his time, admitted his mistakes and is trying to put his life back together and go back to work at his chosen profession.
  21. I guess it's all about your outlook on life. Pessimists see that he didn't give it his all in Atlanta. Optimists see that he admitted his mistakes and has vowed to not repeat them. The "human experience" is amazing in how perspective can cloud our opinions and facts. People that can't stop crying over his past transgressions, subsequent punishment in the way of jail time and losing all the millions of dollars that he made see a guy and hop on an honest admission that he wasn't all that he could be. Others that feel he may still be a bad person in some ways but is trying to better himself see a guy who without prompting has admitted his mistakes and vows to not make them again. Maybe we should draft some more choir boy players of impeccable character and rack up some more 7 - 9 or worse seasons.
  22. Let's make the exception the rule!
  23. I agree to an extent but tell that to the string of probowl rookie tackles over the last few years. That's not even counting the ones that just performed at a very high level that DIDN'T make the probowl.
  24. Drew Bledsoe captained the ship the last time we had a good year. Maybe you are on to something I don't know what the stats say but I think Donny has more in the tank than Drew did.
  25. Troy Smith....ALL DAY!!! The guy was the starter before a freak rare form of tonsillitis made first round Flacco the starter. They won a few games while Troy had to gain back 20 lbs....the rest is history.
