YES! AWESOME!

LOL. No. I'm not in the habit of choking out coaches. That was pretty random though.

I think I'll offer Bills Gates 120 million for Microsoft since that is apparently a lot of money and must surely be fair compensation for anything. Let's also ignore the actual details like bonuses and other provisions that you and I have no clue about in contracts. Keep up with the one sided players are evil belief though. Sorry you weren't good enough to play in the NFL and consider it an honor and be happy to make nothing doing it.

As far as I'm concerned the guy can sit too. Maybe we can do something against the Jets and not rely on a boat load of interceptions to compete. That being said. I agree greed does know no bounds. That bastard owner has had the best CB and possibly the best football player in the NFL playing for peanuts as the lowest paid CB on his team much less the entire NFL. The owner is pinching pennies and doesn't want to reward an exceptional employee with the compensation he is due. The owner looks at it like a business and sees he is getting an incredible deal paying this guy nothing and wants to keep miking him but not as badly as he was milking him before. Reevis is probably looking at a new contract to try to make up for playing for so cheap but the past is the past and he should only look at getting paid for his value going forward.

Freedom of speech works for NFL safeties as well as forum blowhards. Other than speaking his mind it seems so far he is doing just that. Let's hope this new scheme and staff suit him well. His success is the Bills success. If it truly was the scheme and the former staff that was holding him back he was a real high character team guy for not publicly throwing them under the bus. Not that some will ever give a guy credit.

None of those guys has played an NFL down yet by the way. I have no problems with Troup. Stud? Eh. If you haven't been paying attention apparently the Ravens are pretty pleased with Cody. Of course the only thing is his weight but he is just one of those guys like Ted Washington. Let him eat what he wants he will cave in the offensive line on Sunday.

Who's the first Buffalo Bill selected in Fantasy?
PDaDdy replied to Chinstrap's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some interesting responses to this question. Being a fantasy football nut and having had great success at it I will answer for both a keeper league and a regular league. In a keeper league without question the answer is CJ Spiller. In a standard league, however, CJ Spiller is still the answer. LOL. I like Fred Jackson. I like ALL of our running backs but the harsh reality is that Fred Jackson scored 2 rushing TDs in 16 games last year. THAT DOESN'T CUT IT! Spiller hasn't done a thing yet in the NFL and might not even get that many rushing TDs but he does represent greater potential and will likely be drafted first of all the Bills. -
Riiiiiiight..........So why isn't he retiring again??????

Schobel doesn't have any trade value because his statements and stance helped to virtually eliminate any he had. If he kept his mouth shut, made up his mind and told the Bills he wanted to be traded the front office would have had the option of shopping him. Instead Schobel did open his mouth. Talked about retiring, a shortened work week, etc. Destroyed his trade value in an attempt to be released so he could sign where he wanted giving Buffalo the finger. If he was a team player he would have restructured his contract and done a sign and trade with another and Buffalo would have gotten something, anything for him. Again something is better than nothing.

Give it a rest clown boy. Personal insults do not invalidate my points. Nice try though. So I'm sure there were no panties in a wad when Peters held out and wanted to be paid fair market value? Here is your chance to say it didn't bother you and were able to look at things objectively. Bueller?....Bueller? My point is Schobel did the wrong thing. Now that the smoke has settled and we have clarified our stances our statements do not conflict with each other what so ever. You are not defending Schobel and I am not blaming the front office. Silly non fight I guess.

I haven't heard of any specific teams other than the Texans but it is rumored that there are others. If there really are others and some of those others actually run the 3 - 4 that would be even MORE vexing and more damning of his screw Buffalo behavior.
-
Yes Peters wanted to be paid his worth to play for the team he loved that gave him his start. Schobel didn't want to play for us for any amount of money. You're right ...apples and oranges. Schobel's orange is rotten and stinky!!!!
-
Sorry dude. Other than perhaps picking up Madden I can't agree with anything else you said. Sounds like a bunch of excuses for a guy that won't have his opinion of Schobel changed no matter what he does. I'm not the hero worship type. I call it as I see it regardless of who it is. I guess we will see about item #1 when he is being courted by teams OTHER than Houston and he signs and is still effective. Unfortunately your opinion and view will long since be forgotten as no ones feet are ever held to the fire of history. Yes, I am an I told you so prick. I deserve and welcome the same because unlike some others I can actually admit I was wrong and in the process actually learn something. This helps me to have the right answer in the future. It's about having the "right answer" not "being right". There is a HUGE difference in that statement.

Come on man!!! His serious decision was that he didn't want to play for the Bills anymore, he pulled an Allan Haynesworth/Brett Farve combo and he screwed us. He didn't take the money like Haynesworth which is commendable but he didn't want to switch to a 3 - 4 even though we gave him a fat new contract in 2007. He didn't want to work with the team and used the threat of retirement to get out of OTAs and training camp. You gonna keep swinging from his junk while you decry the behavior of guys like Jason Peters. Holy double standard Batman. At least Peters WANTED TO PLAY IN BUFFALO! Schobel kicked us in the junk on the way out the door and made sure we got NOTHING in return.
-
1) I'll take 10 sacks for 2009 any Sunday lost a step or not! I have a feeling so would a lot of teams if they have a brain. 2) Don't play Madden. I missed that generation 3) Something is better than nothing. Wouldn't you agree. While trying to change the subject the issue you didn't address is whether Schobel screwed us or not. The only reason we can't get anything for a 10 sack a year guy is because he bent the front office over. By your thinking we should have just released Jason Peters and no harm no foul. Your direct quote. "I love this move, it says a clear message to the team that no one is above everyone else. Either you come in a compete or you wont be here, plain and simple."
-
Dress it up however you like, a rumor is a rumor is a rumor. People can believe whatever they want. Faith and belief have nothing to do with fact and reality.
-
Have you seen his sack totals? I kicked the guy when he was down but when he was healthy he was a 8 - 12 sack guy. That can't be ignored. He was an impact player on our team and could have been so on another if not at the very least a valuable contributor.
-
Clear as mud I guess. I tend to not operate off of rumor or conjecture in these matters. There was no word publicly from one Bills Drive, the players or Marshawn substantiating these rumors. If you have substantive information to the contrary I would be glad to read it
-
Wrong trading a non team player and getting something in return like a high draft pick or an impact player would have been a win/win. The Bills and the fans lost their asses on the Schobel deal.
-
You could also claim that Schobel was/is a douche that never wanted to be here and kicked us in the junk on the way out the door.
-
What did they do to show Marshawn who runs the show? There was never a statement from Marshawn regarding wanting to be traded unless I missed something. Other than posters proposing trade scenarios every single day and ESPN trying to generate news I never saw one shred of substantive evidence to confirm his desire to leave. By all accounts he is working hard, has accepted his role and is a model teammate who is loved and respected by his peers.
-
I agree 110% . I can't figure out why he gets a pass from the same people that have said some really terrible things about the others. Reminds me of an old sesame street song.
-
Them, not too much. Schobel? He could have done a service to the team that drafted him and gave him raises. He should have been honest instead of using the retirement ruse and hiding behind his family. The Bills should have traded him for anything. Instead we let another player go and get absolutely jack squat in return. I would have taken that disloyal sob to task and fined him everyday for not showing up and kept him on the team. Not sure how that all works but I would imagine we could fine him enough to mitigate the loss in his salary if not completely balance it out. Force him into retirement and hold onto his rights. If the Texans or any other team wanted him the Bills could get something in return. Now any teams that want him are just waiting for Buffalo to roll over and let the guy go.

Jw it is a shame that you have completely and totally missed my point. Your assertions are ridiculous and you are apparently trying to stir up some controversy on my comments on this subject. Unlike many of my other posts, my comments were calm, cool, collected and not rant filled. Unlike most of my posts I also attempted to show both sides and look at the situation objectively. That subject is too important and volatile for such careless tactics. "Danger to myself and others?" "Crank?" "Psycho?" I can only imagine your slew of personal attacks was meant as an attempt to discredit the messenger making a comment on a very serious subject. I would assert that you sir "are the problem" attempting to discredit any anyone that dares to speak to such an important and often misused topic in our country.

I'm not crying it. I am honestly part of the solution. Smart/nice people try to ignore it. Dumb people embrace it and are devious about it as it is no longer as socially acceptable as it was just 50 years ago. I have heard your point before. Sometimes it is valid. The mere mention of the word racism is now a bad thing. I agree so many times the "card" is so improperly played it is frustrating and shameful. The point however is that the phenomena still exists even though some claim it all too easily and frequently. Believe me, I DO NOT MENTION IT LIGHTLY. I feel that there is the potential that this is a difference maker for some. An analogous statement would be. You're not paranoid if the really are out to get you. A poor choice of words perhaps but I hope the concept is not lost on you. It does exists. The complaint is made too often. Sometimes though it is completely warranted. Is it in this case? I don't know. I merely posed the possibility that this could be playing into the decision of some.
