  1. We operate on this philosophy at my work of 80%. Focus on delivering something good for 80% of the users over something that 100% of users will find useful because the diminishing returns of getting that last 20% spikes rapidly. TEs are the 20%. Why a bunch of resources there when 80% of your offense runs through WRs? This idea that "if they had a better TE then they'd use them more!" is a fallacy. Stop searching for the right 'tool' to fit your perception of what you need and use what you have...
  2. I'm sure in year 8 that Kroft is about to go off after not doing that in year 1-7 If people just think of the 4th WR on the field as a split out TE then they won't have to freak out.
  3. I'm high on Gilliam. I think he could play an interesting role being moved around. In the limited snaps he's had, he's been sure handed.
  4. Shame about McCloud. I thought he looked ok and might be able to develop on the PS
  5. Mac Jones the only QB on the roster... he and his agent are checking if massage therapists are getting booked up in the Boston area right now
  6. Miami is making parade plans with Tua (Looks better in preseason than Allen did last season) Tagovailoa. Jets fans have Zach Wilson in the hall of fame. The great thing about QBs who are still question marks is you don't know they suck yet.
  7. I've never wanted a player to succeed as much I want Wildgoose to...there's just too much potential there "THE GOOSE IS LOOSE!" "HONK HONK HONK" "THAT GOOSE IS WILD" "HE MAY BE THE WILDGOOSE, BUT HE COOKED THAT GUY'S GOOSE ON THAT PLAY!"
  8. Never let facts get in the way of a good crusade!
  9. I wonder if he was really unable to perform or if this is the type of unable to perform that could have been cured by a big check (aka the Jairus Byrd).
  10. Too much baggage and too late in the season for a guy that looks done and likely wouldn't embrace the backup role.
  11. McDermott has top 5 defense for years known for confusing opposing QBs. Has average defense for 1 year and now he doesn't know what he's doing and just motivates players. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
  12. Sure it matters, but the 'turnaround' stories are still rare. The vast majority of players who are bad under good or bad coaching don't turn it around under different coaching later in their careers. Allen is still a strange case to make as he's only ever been under one coaching staff.
  13. You'd be surprised how many people will buy into a player that has performed poorly all being the fault of 'coaching' (regardless of the actual coaching) despite the fact that the 'turnaround' story is relatively rare.
  14. Not happening for me, but could very well be an AB test.
  15. Dallas better hope Dak remains healthy all year or that he can play with a walker. Having a competent backup is nice.
  16. On days where I am feeling depressed and want attention, it's really nice to know that Edmunds is there for me so I can make a thread on him and get attention
  17. I don't see it for Miami even if the price were lower. They'd want Watson for this season and he is likely to miss a bunch of games and they'd almost certainly be sending Tua the other way meaning they'd be committing to playing their backup.
  18. That's not even taking the running game which looks like it will be better and be the 'opportune' changeup they said they wanted where it's effective when they use it.
  19. The value of practicing 'punts' over getting 4th down reps are not equal
  20. with that hair...he should have glued it to his head
  21. They're going to grant him that privilege soon
  22. If water makes other things wet than it only makes sense that water is dry! The wetness leaves the water to make the other thing wet so what you have left is dry!!! The circle of life.
