  1. I was kind of looking forward to a thanksgiving game. Any of our schedule leaked out yet?
  2. This is not correct. The Lions played an NFC team last year and the Cowboys played the Raiders. This year Dallas plays NFC opponent and the Lions play an AFC team so it's us or the Dolphins.
  3. As another long suffering Bills fan did anyone really expect anything different? Byrd wanted top money, we only offered 7.5 mil per year for a great player, NO offered right about 9. Glad that Overdorf and Littman still handling the contracts and money. I fully expect our 15th year with no playoffs this season. Somewhere between 4-6 wins sounds about right. Should be fun to see how the front office spins it though.
  4. Looks like we are sure in for our 15th straight year of missing he playoffs and probably 7th straight year of finishing last in AFC East. Can't wait for all the spin on this. At the end of the day good teams keep their best players and teams like the Bills continue to do everything possible to save money and keep the team below average. Great day to be a Bills fan, im sure everyone will love it this week if the Toronto series goes on as expected. The team sure knows how to hammer the fans.
  5. I don't see how they just let him walk without tagging him as is being reported. This is another stupid move by our terrible front office if it happens. How do they expect to end the playoff drought by continually letting a top player on the team walk away each year and either not filling the hole made or having to spend a high pick on a hole they let develop, thus continuing our decade and half rebuilding project. I fully expect this to be year 15 without any playoffs. Its so fun to be a Bills fan!
  6. One more playoff team for the AFC maybe the Bills will finally make it back. Or it will just show how much worse the organization is if with an added team we still can't get back. I'm not sure how any kids who grew up in the late 90's could still even be fans of the team at this point as they just missed our "glory years" and have only seen miserable teams year in and year out.
  7. I would agree. Long time fans know that these guys have had say and been yes men for Ralph for the entirety of the losing the past 14 years. Its time they get tossed to the curb. Im glad the report is out so at least maybe something will happen. I'll be curious if Brandon actually will respond. The fans want a winner, he claims to be committed to that. Its time for him to do more than just talk about it.
  8. Yeah I could care less what its called a gift, an investment where you get nothing in return or just call it someone being a huge Bills fan. As far as tax goes I'd say whether or not it would put someone over the standard deduction it seems from the outside to have more of an incentive if its tax deductible even if that means no change to the amount due to IRS or the amount you get as a refund. People seem to love giving to places where they can claim it though is all I'm saying. Especially if you do get some people who are real gung ho and want to donate a few thousand then it would certainly bring down there taxable income and possibly increase their refund coming back. Obviously this is just the start of their idea, I do commend people for trying to do something which may or may not help keep the Bills in Buffalo but hey at least its something right?
  9. No one is going to force you to contribute that is part of the point, its not tax payer money its people if they choose to donate and be a part of it. Clearly you have no interest and that is fine, no real need to bash others who wan to contribute though. As mentioned feel free not to contribute but if others care about the team and choose this way to try and do something proactive why keep trying to shoot that down. Because you choose not to that is fine but let others do as they please. And as far as charitable giving you are incorrect as there is more incentive to donate if its tax deductible. I being someone who donates both to my church and host of other charities is a ways above standard deduction amount and itemize so if this fund becomes a 501c3 then there is even more incentive for me to put something towards it.
  10. We got the short end of the stick here, I wouldn't be shocked if the Browns are better than us this coming year and our D goes down a notch or two. At this point if we win 4-5 games I think Whaley and Russ have no choice to fire Marrone and staff because I feel like the fans have had enough and we all have a much shorter fuse. I am in no way remotely optimistic for next season after this and with our schedule of AFC West teams and NFC North, while not great are probably better than us other than maybe the Vikings.
  11. I don't think they should have changed course rather never should have hired Marrone who was with a .500 record at Cuse. They could aim higher or try and hire a competent coach. We continue to hire guys who have been fired elsewhere or failed elsewhere or bring in mediocre coaches and expect big production from them. I can't see the winning start until the ownership thing is figured out as if I was an up and comer no way I would go to Buffalo. If ownership changes when Ralph passes good chance the whole FO and staff is gone.
  12. The problem is continuing to hire mediocre at best coaches and expecting for above average results. It sure looks like Marrone is in the long list of terrible hires by the Bills. Though I don't blame others for not wanting the job with the current ownership situation. If the team goes 6-10 or worse next year there is no way he comes back for a third season as the fans will be calling for blood and deservedly so.
  13. 14 years of not making the playoffs has been a blast. I fully think we should keep staying the course, theres always next year. Marrone was a terrible hire to begin with and I'm sure as the losses start piling up again next season people will start to throw out names to replace him. Not sure why anyone would want this job though as its pretty clear there are still a bunch of clowns running the show.
  14. After 14 years of not making the playoffs and 6 straight years of finishing last in the AFC East I think us fans have the right to blast any and all moves by the coaching staff and FO. Everything Marrone says going forward at least for me is going to be hard to believe after all the accountability he preached.
