I was in Indy last weekend for work and had a nice dinner downtown in between the stadium and the Pacers new arena. Sadly, there were no games happening that night. But man what a nice little spot they have there in downtown Indianapolis. The Colts stadium is gorgeous from the outside and when I saw it up close, it finally made sense to me that the Bills could really use a new building. I have been in the "who gives a @#%%$ I'm just there to watch a game and tailgate!" crowd for many years, but wow, that stadium is a gem. The real bummer was that I missed seeing the Bills by one week! At least two colleagues out there with me are also die-hards and we would have been stoked to see this game in person. hamilton is not my favorite guy on the station but his opinions sure aren't worth any less than the ones i read on this message board. they're certainly not any less astute or infomed.

i am a 40 year die hard. with the score 14-6, i went out to rake leaves and mow 1 final time this year. it never occurred to me the bills might pull it out. i didn't give a **** if they did. they suck and i have literally ZERO expectation they'll ever be good while they are in buffalo. since the big swan dive last year i put the games on and then, most weeks, gradually turn my attention to something more interesting. like...hm, what is my neighbor throwing in his burning barrel? or maybe rearranging the crap in our garage. but ralph wilson is definitely in the hall of fame.

imo chan is learning the hard way that nice guys finish last. he's trying to give everyone room to feel comfortable and do their jobs without inteference because he think's everyone will respecthim more that way. unfortunately it's not working and if he doesn't a-hol it up in a hurry he's going to be the one tking the fall. i think he knows this but he seems powerless to do anytihg about it. you think belichek would sit around and watch one side of the ball flounder like this week after week? that's one big reason they win every year despite drafting in the 20s and 30s...it's called ACCOUNTABILITY. NFL-caliber accountability has been absent from the organization for years and this is just the latest example.

80000! were you alive before 2009? agree. this kind of rank cynicism is really illuminating. maybe this thing will get done, maybe it won't. but it says a lot about the whole region that someone has come up with a really exciting idea and it is blown to bits before anyone has taken time to even listen to it or how it might be funded.
