  1. I'm wondering what people are seeing from Carder and even Bradham that excites them. Carder seems to be lost out there, taking poor angles and getting pushed around. I wouldn't be shocked if he gets cut or put on PS.

I think the secondary will be fine. An above average unit that will be aided by the pass rush. McKelvin looks better now that he is in the slot and the safeties are very good. Williams will be okay and I like the depth with Rogers and Brooks.

  2. I know Chase Daniel was tongue in cheek (at least I think so), but another poster called for the Bills to find the next Matt Flynn. Remember the previous Matt Flynns: Kevin Kolb, Rob Johnson, Scott Michell, Matt Cassel. The only real success I can think of recently is Matt Schaub. Big money to an unproven back up is not the way to go.

I think we'll see Chandler and Nelson a lot more involved once the season starts. With a bit of time they can stretch the d and work the middle, like the nice pass to Nelson in the Steelers game. I'm also in the minority of Donald Jones believers, I think he'll be a bigger playmaker than most do.

  3. we dont personally know Jim Kelly.. but we know he never had what it takes to win a superbowl no matter how many chances he gave him self. We dont personally know RKelly... but we know he pee'd on girls, and we dont personally know Chad Johnson but we know his wife filed for divorce.

NObody knows Todzilla... but we know ur a Schoop supporter, we know u grow ur ego callin someone a tough guy online, and with that im sure the Zilla in todzilla is adding 'height' to a short minded man.

Get to know what ur talking about, facts are facts and if I was a friend to Schoop... I too would be a loser by association

so let me get this straight I'm the internet tough guy, but when you do the same thing, you are above all that somehow. My ego gains nothing by calling you anything. I could make a comment about the 'biker' in your name alluding to that tricycle you ride around the neighborhood, but I won't.

And to your point, I get that you can learn about people you don't actually know by reading stories online and listening to the news. but you throw out things like HUGE gambling problem and alchoholism without any basis, like they are facts and that seems quite short minded to me. You say facts are facts, but don't have any.

I get that you don't like Schopp and thats fine, he certainly isn't for everyone (or many according to this board). I just don't get the personal attack.

  4. I agree with the DR here.. for that is what I ment. Now I am a fan of Dr Dareustein and with his pick up of conversation I would listen to the DOC over Schoop and so would a lot of you.

As far as do i know Schoop? we all do... arrest records, media reporting, as well as common sense lets us put together peoples lives and know them as they were one of ur co workers.. have I messed with him on radio show he hosts in the past? yes... i love messing with opinionated fools who have no back bone... when the great schoop stutters, flutters words and hangs up on well me atleast 3 times i played around... yes i find him sad.

Any body down for the DR Dareustine show besides me?

So basically...no, you don't know him and are just making crap up about him. Bravo tough guy.

  5. obviously if they win, they become more likable, but i think the OP's point is the individual personalities on the team and how easy it is to root for them

i agree, this team, without some of the egos like they've had in the past, combined with a bunch of late-round or undrafted longshots is a likable bunch...probably the most likable that i can remember

having said that, i believe that the main missing ingredient on this team will prove to be some sandpaper...in football, you need to have a few nasty, take-no-prisoners kind of players...as much as we hate wilfork, he's a perfect example

I think guys like Dareus, K. Williams, Levitre and Wood fit the sandpaper type.

  6. One logical advantage is that it adds another blocker--- once the QB hands the ball off he is virtually invisible. Taking Fitz off the field and direct snapping to Brad Smith would theoretically give him an extra blocker on running plays if there is indeed the threat of a pass.

Bingo...and it was quite effective picking up first downs last year.

  7. Fans are so scarred by previous failures to sign our own that we panic now when a guy has a year left. I agree that it's important to sign those guys, especially Byrd and Levitre, but suggesting the Bills cut players that will play a major role on the d-line without any proven player taking their place is absurd.

I am no cap/contract expert, but if we extend the deals beyond this season and don't alter the contract for 2012 do we need to make salary cuts? Or can we just worry about it next year?

  8. Young still seems to have that inate ability to make plays when they are needed (although not much to show for it last night). His passes though...wow, they were as bad as I've seen, missing wide open guys by 10 feet. I think he is the #2 (there is probably a joke there) but if he is forced into action, they need to run a draw it up in the sand offense. As for Brad Smith, he look like he has zero interest in throwing the ball.

  9. I called back and told the rep I saw people getting a better deal than I was offered online and she said no problem, I'll give you the ticket for $149 including Max. I was good with that and took it. I already get $20 per month for another year from the deal I worked out last year, so I'm happy as usual with DTV. I'm still not on any type of contract so I still have that card to play in the future.
