  1. Nfl network has a show called the No huddle. 4 guys sit around and discuss football. Kinda like Inside the Nfl from Showtime, without video clips. Just talk basically.

Anyway on that show last week they talked about the afc east. Someone said any division that has the jets and pats is a strong division. Then someone said, "buffalo is in that division" they all laughed. actually sadly but true, i did too.

    NO huddle show THIS WEEK

Who is the surprise of the week? Buffalo and they went on and gave us a lot of congrats and all the goodies. No laughing

    Inside the Nfl-showtime THIS WEEK

At the end of the show. We were on their pick 6 section (They choose 6 games only and pick their winners/Sadly we are not always in this section)

All 3 guys selected us over Raiders!

The 3 guys are C Collinsworth, Warren Sapp, and the giants qb from the 90's forgot his name. damn

    Phil Simms

  2. I don't disagree with anything you've said. My post was not to lament on McGee's skillz. He is a good player, BUT, he "was" a better player. It means that although he is not the player he once was, he is indeed trade bait for a team in need, and good enough for a 3rd rounder, IMO, maybe even 2nd round if the need is urgent. Look, I like him a lot, I really do, but I'm trying to think about the future. Our CB core is pretty good, a notch or two above average, IMO, and well coached. We could stand to lose McGee, and it wouldn't hurt us necessarily.

    Just sayin.

    Tim-

At this point in his career and with his recent injury history, I have to completely disagree with your perspective on McGee's value. I don't think there's a single team out there that would trade a 3rd rounder for him, let alone a 2nd. He could probably get something in a trade, but it wouldn't be a lot.

  3. With the last preseason game behind us, and the regular season quickly approaching, I thought I'd see what people who live out-of-town will be doing for Bills games this year. I had to move near Philadelphia for work, so I'll be heading to the Bills Backers Bar called McFaddens in center city each week. What kinds of traditions do other people have for the games? Local Bills Backers Bar? Sit at home with Sunday Ticket? Meet up with other Bills fans in the area at someone's place?

Maybe this thread can be used for people who recently moved to meet up with other Bills fans. Have at it!

  4. Was that when he tackled the RB and got up flexing out his chest? Dude looks stupid in a football uniform....looks like he was drafted from university of ethiopia....the man can hang glide with a dorito.

This is one of the funniest posts I've read in a while. I'm picturing maybin celebrating after a routine play and then running to the sideline to grab a dorito to hang glide with. Classic

  5. Fred is pissed period. He didn't lose his job, but he wasn't told clearly that he would remain the #1 RB back by Gailey, who really has no obligation to explain himself, but probably should have. Jackson is more pissed about the big picture than about Saturday though. The Bronco game was a symptom, not a problem. He's sick of being jerked around, under appreciated, underpaid, and he was pissed about Evans being traded. He's got a lot to be mad about, but as you should have witnessed last game, it's not likely to affect his effort one bit.

    This.

I sure hope that he continues to perform at his usual level despite being unhappy. Of course I wish he wasn't unhappy in the first place, because he has been everything you can ask for as a coach or fan. Freddy just gets it done, quietly and humbly, and doesn't get any respect.

  6. The answer, I think, is yes. From my viewing, Bell was beaten several different ways on several different plays. He definitely had a bad night. With that said, I don't recall much help at all shifted to his side; and Miller and Dumerville are Denver's 2 best pass rushers.

I think this whole notion of not game planning and playing base O and D throughout is interesting. What I saw was the first offensive and defensive series looking pretty good for Buffalo. Offensively, we moved the ball down the field pretty well - until Fitz missed on several passes resulting in the FG. Defensively, we shut them down pretty well. After that, however, things got progressively worse. Could it be the Bills stayed in their base formations and tried specific plays, regardless of down and distance. On the flip side, the Broncos made adjustments and took advantage of the down and distance. ?

That's kinda what I saw, or how I interpreted the game. Yes, its better to see 9 sacks and the offensive moving in sync. But, its also beneficial to see the the weaknesses and strengths of your team so you can properly prepare for each opponent. However, I think you gotta balance all that out with trying to build confidence in your players as well; hence, I'm hoping they prepare a little better for next week's game and get some points on the board.

I agree with this. I feel like the Bills are probably trying to make sure they install the playbook for their own players before they evaluate film of another team for a preseason game. I would expect them to prepare a little more though for the next opponent, if for nothing else but to get the guys into their regular season preparation rhythm. I also agree that preseason is really to evaluate your players and to mentally get the starters back into game mode. I think it's important to never get too high or too low on preseason performance, because we don't know what the coaches are thinking or what they're really trying to do. I'm pretty sure the year the Patriots went 18-1 they went 0-4 in preseason. Now I'm not making an excuse for our team....don't get me wrong. I'm not encouraged by what I see and I need to see improvement, but it's not the end of the world yet.

  7. Just go the dhgate route. I just got my jerseys...Spiller and Dareus whites. They are incredible!! Look just like the real deal, and they fit awesome. Paid $86 for the pair including shipping. They took less than two weeks to ship from China to Alaska. Trust me...it is totally worth it

    BTW...I used the seller realsportsjerseys

I can't find that vendor on dhgate. I see a "topsportsjerseys," and some of the other ones people have mentioned on here, like "honest-first." Can you PM me a link to their warehouse site?

  8. That's what I've been saying all along and exactly how Gailey should be using Smith. It's not like he's a wasted player if he's on the field, so why not use him on most downs?

I think it will be key to make sure he's on the field often enough so that the defense doesn't autmatically know it's a gimmick play if he's in the game. It's kind of like how teams knew we were probably running with Spiller in the backfield because he was such a poor pass protector.

But anyway, just imagine the potential confusion on plays where Brad Smith lines up out wide, followed by the offense shifting formations and bringing Smith back to QB. Things like that would keep defenses on their toes, and would be exciting to watch.

  9. I just moved to Cherry Hill, and I plan on going to the downtown Philly Bill's Backers bar called McFadden's. In terms of jerseys, I'm probably interested, but I need a youth size. If you can find a seller that offers youth jerseys (that aren't just old #21 spiller jerseys), I'd do it, assuming we could work out a good place to meet since I think we're about an hour away from each other.

  10. Duh. A square does not have a circumference. That is why the words starts with "Cir". On a square it is call a perimeter.

I always enjoy seeing ieatcrayonz say something, well, typical of himself...and then watching the reactions of the people who don't quite understand yet.
