  1. For me it's a combination of the unpredictablity of the draft, the excitement of seeing the future of our team and others, the start of a new season, and really just the culmination of many many days of speculation to see what FINALLY unfolds. Like many of you, I'm on here every day reading about the draft. When it actually happens, and you get to see it live....I don't know, I guess it makes all the time spent speculating worth it.

  2. Maybe if i use an example with player it would make more sense... ssay the bills wanted LT from Bal Gethers (sp) and were going to give our 2 for him... but they wanted to draft Clausen with our 1... now they really want Clausen so they don't want to trade their 2 until they draft clausen becasue if clausen is not there they want to draft LT Bugola (sp) and Tebow with the... can they wait and if they get Clausen then while the draft is still going trade their 2 for Geithers (sp)?

The short answer: Yes you can trade a pick for a player while the draft is going on.

  3. Why would you actually spend any money to watch this?!!?!?!

I was thinking the same thing. I could see going to Day 1 or 2 of this draft...but to actually fly down JUST to watch rounds 4-7 live is pretty insane...haha. You must be even more hardcore about the draft than I am. :flirt:

  4. For some reason when I think of scatback I think of Dexter McCluster. I'm not quite sure when he'd be available or if this is someone Chan is considering. Plus I just read "Mississippi receiver Dexter McCluster" here.

    http://espn.go.com/blog/afcwest/post/_/id/...s-and-notes-112

So I don't know if he's changing positions or what. Just thought I'd bring him up as a possible guy he has in mind.

EDIT: As a sidenote, Dexter put up 282 rushing yards against Tennessee this past season and their DT Dan Williams B-)

  5. with that said, however, Cuse blows hugely (ooovveerrrratedddddd, and coached by Jim "I cant coach, thats why I run a zone D and a vanilla offense, but thank god im the worlds best recruiter" Boheim) and will be the first one seed ever knocked off by a 16, so definately get somewhere where you CAN watch that upset

Yeah okay bud. We'll see how that one works out for you

  6. Haha :P

    lol....the c!@#sucker quote should've given it away...haha :wallbash:

"Welker had not made a single friend at Massachusetts General. Although the wideout's attitude has been celebrated by sportswriters and fans alike as scrappy and overachieving, hospital personnel have described him as "exhausting," "intolerable," and "the most infuriating little !@#$sucker ever to walk God's green earth."

  7. Whos gone TO didnt do much wasnt a game changer can easily be replaced.

Easily replaced? By who? He was our leading receiver last year. Everybody had down years and didn't do much because our o-line and QB situation was so unsettled, but out of all the receivers who had a down year, his was the best. I wasn't always happy with his lack of effort on certain occasions, but he definitely had an impact, and I would've been fine having him back for one more year. I don't think he's as easily replaceable as you might think/

  8. When you take a player from Papua, Barbados, or Opa Lacka, you have some built in risks. This is my "SnowMan Draft" for this year. No Mike Williamses, no Surfer QB's, no guys who ask what snow is, or wind feels like. These guys will want to stay in Buffalo, brave the elements, practice outside. And many live nearby! Check it out, file it away. Some of my SnowMen --particularly Lee Evans of Wisconsin-- worked out pretty well.

Trade Lynch and our 4th to San Diego for their Round 3. Trade Parrish and Whitner to Washington for a Round 3 and 7. These have been suggested by more than one draftnik, and it showcases a few more great picks!

I know you're talking about 2 different guys...I just thought it was funny. :wallbash:

  9. http://blog.syracuse.com/orangefootball/20...shot_at_th.html

After playing point guard at Duke and quarterback at Syracuse, Greg Paulus is ready for a new frontier — the NFL.

“You dream of these things. To have this opportunity, I wanted to take advantage of it,” the 23-year-old Paulus said as he prepared for today’s pro day before at least a dozen NFL teams at Syracuse University. “In the back of my mind this was definitely something I wanted. Hopefully, we’re going to get some positive feedback. I’ll do the best I can.”

Paulus ended his one-year career with the Orange with two school records — most completions and highest completion rate. He started all 12 games of a 4-8 season, completing 193 of 285 passes (67.7 percent) with 14 interceptions and 13 touchdowns for 2,024 yards.

Orange head coach Doug Marrone, in his rookie year at his alma mater, tabbed Paulus as the team’s starter in preseason camp last August — less than a week after seeing him throw a pass in person for the first time.

Paulus, a former CBA star, said he has been working out with Orange strength and conditioning coach Will Hicks and has boosted his weight to 204 pounds and strengthened his arm.

“It’s gotten a lot stronger. It’s not even close,” he said.

“I feel good about that. I’m always trying to get stronger, faster, continuing to build footwork,” Paulus said. “I didn’t have as much time to prepare for the season. Being able to work on footwork has been a huge thing. Being able to throw on a consistent basis has allowed my arm and my timing to be better. I’m just trying to continue to get better.”

Hicks said Wednesday that the 12 to 15 NFL teams Syracuse expects at pro day all want to take a look at Paulus.

“Considering when he first got here, he’s made great progress as far as his body weight, strength, core stability, arm strength, those type of things,” Hicks said. “I’ve been getting a lot of interest.... He’s going to have a legitimate opportunity. He’s a hard worker, he’s got all the charisma and leadership skills and the smarts. I just hope he improved enough physically to give himself an opportunity.”

Just graduated from Syracuse in May. Saw plenty of Paulus last season. This is not a guy you want to be your starting QB. I do think that he could POSSIBLY be a backup in the league after he spends more time preparing to play football (ie: bulking up, working on footwork, decision making, etc.). He's pretty small and thin, and would get pounded in the NFL. In terms of the Bills, please God no to Paulus.

  10. Lose a few games? The Bills have not been to the playoffs in a decade, they have lost more than they have won??? How can you compare the Bills to the 72 Dolphins??

He's talking about the Sabres...since he quoted you talking about the Sabres....in a Bills forum nonetheless.

  11. Tony Pike? Really? Dude is so skinny, he looks like a skeleton wrapped in an ace bandage. @ 6'6" and 212Lbs, he'll get murdered in the NFL.

LOL...I like the comparison. I definitely have some concerns about his potential durability, so I'd pass on him too.

  12. Agree on Brohm. All the highly touted QBs in this years draft have some question mark associated with them, be it cold-weather, injury-prone, not NFL-ready, whatever. Think you're right - the Bills had something 'up their sleeve' when they grabbed Brohm, but think the Bills have seen enough of Edwards and will keep him as #3 on the depth chart if they don't release him outright.

Let's build both lines and shore up the LB corps first. We can always draft Taylor Potts in round 7 next season. <_<

I really want to see what Brohm can do. I agree that the Bills might have something up their sleeve in terms of they expect he will compete for a starting job next year. I don't see Edwards on this team next year. The Bills (under the current leadership) probably wouldn't draft a QB in next year's draft after aquiring Brohm, but who knows what will happen with a new coach/gm/front office.

Gotta love your consistency with promoting Texas Tech...haha

  13. Only one team has given up more points in the 4th quarter than the Bills (109)... and that would be the fish (110).

    GAWD I HATE MIAMI!

Best I can figure, BUF has scored 40 4th qtr. points, and MIA, 74.

    FWIW...

Without looking at the stats, you're both probably right. Jay Rubeo was talking about how many points the teams have GIVEN UP in the 4th, and stuckincincy was saying how many points the two teams have SCORED themselves. It's all good though
