  1. Jeez, he is amazing... he runs the Colts offense like a fine oiled machine, and still has time to call Drew Brees...wonder how he does it when they play at the same time! I bet you Eli is jealous!

Man I am glad you responded first to that. I just keep looking at it and going"no I must be missing something"

haha...so not to be a jerk, but you guys DO realize that mob16151 was talking about the Saint's coach, Sean PAYTON...not PEYTON Manning...

  2. Agreed that was a cluster---k. Was that Fewell, AVP, Fitz, all of the above? I could swear the Bills had 2 to's remaining at the half. I fully expected 2-3 shots to the end zone before kicking the FG, which they were lucky to get. Can anyone confirm how many to's the Bills had left?

    PTR

From what I remember, they used their last timeout with 0:01 on the clock in order to kick the field goal. They definitely didn't have 2 left, and I'm 95% sure they didn't have 1 left either.

  3. The real issue with clock management in this game was at the end of the first half. The Bills got a first and goal with about 25 seconds left on the clock. I have no idea why they didn't call a timeout, take 2 or 3 shots to the endzone, and then kick the field goal on 4th down if they don't score. Instead they decided to not hurry to the line, waste almost all their time, run the ball, call a time out, and kick a field goal anyway. That was pathetic.

  4. This morning on WGR they were talking about Shanahan and said that we could get him for alot cheaper than what most people think. They said that he is still under his contract with Chicago which says that if he signs somewhere else (Buffalo)and they are paying less then what chicago owes him... Chicago has to make up the difference.

    what??

  5. Big, cold weather, pro system...he looks good.

I would prefer more career starts though...

I don't think Cinci runs a pro system. It's a pass happy offense that spreads it out a lot. So that could be a concern that he's a result of the system they run. I don't know though. He's got some talent.

  6. I like Kyle Orton in the sense that he's a winner without spectacular stats...but one also has to remember that he's playing behing arguably the best offensive line in the NFL right now. That can make a lot of QBs win some games. Their d-line seems to be getting some pressure with that Elvis Dumerville (spelling?) guy, so to me it looks like a lot of their success is coming from having strong lines. Just another example of why it all starts up front.

  7. Let's try this again... I was saying one thing (they suck) to emphasize th opposite (they don't suck because they drafted well, coach well and play well) which in turn should emphasize that we suck because we drafted poorly have been coaching poorly and don't play very well.) I don't think the Ravens suck either. In fact the Broncos may actually play the Ravens in the SuperBowl. We on the other hand will be playing the Rams in the suck bowl if we don't wake up soon.

Broncos v. Ravens in the Superbowl eh? So which team is switching conferences? :censored:

(If you wrote that on purpose as some sort of addition to the irony joke thing...I apologize)

  8. Looked very average against OSU this past weekend. OSU defense is mediocre. In a big game, a good QB will step up their game. McCoy failed that test.

What if McCoy had come out last year for the draft? The guy was a Heisman finalist, and remember how well he played in the Red River game against Oklahoma last year? That was a huge game, and he played huge. I'm not saying the Bills should draft the guy, I'm just saying you can't say he doesn't step it up in big games after one game from this year. Last year the guy was phenomenal. That said, I'd like to see him be just as good as last year before thinking about drafting him. It scares me that he's not producting like he used to.

I really have nothing to add here but a picture of his girlfriend.

Wow...let's hope his gf is the hot blonde

  9. I have to agree that my feeling after that game was different than normal. Normally I'd be yelling at the tv and getting really upset. This time, I just watched it all happen with no emotion whatsoever. I wasn't surprised about the outcome. I feel pretty empty inside when it comes to the Bills, which is something I NEVER thought I could ever do.

  10. I agree with thebandit27 on the defensive rankings. We're not the 5th worst defense in the league. Our defense did do well yesterday overall. If someone told you before the game we'd only be down 3 in the 4th quarter to the Saints, I think most people on this board would take it. I think a lot of those rushing yards in the last quarter can be contributed to being tired, and also the defense not being motivated anymore because of the lack of offense or willingness to go for it on a 4th and 1. It's got to be tough on the mindset of the defense when you've played so well for 3+ quarters against the #1 offense in the league, only to watch your own team's offense put on a horrible display, and have your coach "play it safe."

  11. I live in Liverpool (for those who don't know, right outside Syracuse), and the game isn't on here. The Giants game is on at 1:00, but they're just not showing football at 4:00 on Fox. I already called and e-mailed them to complain. Mister Defense, in terms of being able to find it online, there is a website you can try. Go to http://www.justin.tv/directory/sports and hopefully the Bills game will be up there. That's what I'm going to try.
