  1. This story is the very reason one should not bother paying for INsider

I definitely agree that just paying for INsider would be a waste. I found a deal on slickdeals.net to get ESPN the Magazine for $4 for the entire year from discountmags.com. All ESPN Magazine subscribers get free INsider, so basically I paid $4 to get a decent magazine every month and have INsider access. It's been worth it so far for me :flirt:

  2. This guy has it all wrong. The Bills will be in the top 15 and maybe top 10 by the end of the season. I would bet my house on it. How are teams going to stop our three headed monster attack of Spiller, Jackson, and Lynch. Hardy and Nelson are going to have breakout years and Lee is going to make the pro bowl. Gailey will work his magic and make Edwards look like the second coming of Jim Kelly. We will be dominant on defense with our secondary averaging 2-3 picks a game. Teams will be hard pressed to run on our the 3-4 scheme with added additions of Troup, Davis, and Callaway. Maybin is going to be a beast of a pass rusher. Not to mention with Bruce D back and Moorman and Lindell. Need I say more...I would be surprised if this team doesn't make a playoff run. I know you guys are probably thinking I am crazy but hey stranger things have happened.

I'm assuming you mean Carrington here. Either way, this is a pretty bold prediction haha

  3. Here's the deal: We're in a rebuild mode. We are not a team that is looking to add one or two veterans in a position of need to make a run at the Super Bowl. We are not a team that wants a one or two year stop-gap. Could TO help our team this year and be an improvement? Absolutely. I think the Bills decision makers realize that too. However, this is a time when they would rather see what we have with younger guys and move on for the future. That's the reason we're not bringing him back.

  4. Buffalo's pass D was ranked #2 in the league last year and only the Saints had more interceptions. I can't see how the Bills would rank out of the top 5 in the secondary. Hence, why we didn't draft a single corner or safety.

Those kinds of stats can be a little misleading. Our rush defense was poor, so teams were able to run over us. Given that though, I'm certainly not disagreeing that we have a great secondary. I'd say they're more like top 10 in the league. I'd really like to see how our safties play this year, especially Byrd. I loved him as a rookie, but I'd like to see him improve on his tackling and become more of a complete player. Let's hope he can continue his ballhawking ability as well. Our corners are pretty solid, and the secondary talent is definitely there....I would just like to see consistent and extremely solid overall secondary play for at least another season before annointing them top 5 in the league.

  5. CJ Spiller runs for 125 and 2 rush TDs and catches 7 balls for 73 yards and a rec TD....oh and by the way, returns a kickoff 103 yards for a TD and returns 2 punts for TDs (for all those counting...yes...he scores 6 TDs in his debut) while Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch thumb wrestle on the sidelines.

The Bills win the game 70-0 (Spiller returned the 2nd half kickoff...hence the shutout) on their way to the Super Bowl at the Palace in Dallas....where we destroy the first team to play a Super Bowl in their home stadium....the Dallas Cowboys...by a score of 77-3...avenging our back to back SB losses to Dallas in 93 and 94...Defensive player of the year and comeback player of the year Aaron Maybin knocks Tony Romo out on the first play of the game while Super Bowl XLV MVP Levi Brown throws 9 TD passes to 9 different recievers (1.Evans 2.M.Easley 3.Spiller 4.D.Schouman 5.S.Nelson 6.F.Jackson 7.J.Hardy 8.N.Roosevelt 9.J.Klopfenstein) while Jairus Byrd accounts for the other 2 scores by returning INTs for TDs...

I am also a two time powerball winner so please just take my word on this.

You could at least be creative if you're going to make a prediction

  6. I was stuck watching ESPN because I don't get NFLN, and the whole time I just kept wishing Steve Young would Shut the F!@# up! He didn't know what he was talking about, and he kept interrupting everyone. Did anyone else notice the couple times when Young was blabbering incoherently about something, and they showed Gruden laughing to Kiper? I thought that was hilarious. Even though Gruden praised everyone, he was still enjoyable to watch. Steve Young ruined it for me.

Phenomenal...haha. I sang the whole thing to myself in my head at work. <_<

  8. Speaking of the Sabres game tonight, I only get it in regular def and I got every home game in HD all season. That's messed up.

I live in Syracuse now and have Time Warner, and none of the Sabres games on MSG HD were in HD. It's been awful. I actually didn't mind the Versus games so I could finally see some HD.

  9. Lets be a little more realistic here, its not nearly as bad as people want to make it out to be, and this upcoming year isnt about rediscovering the glory of the early 90's anyway, its about getting this team back in the right direction and building this team over the next year or two.

    1. We won 6 games last year DESPITE completely ATROCIOUS QB play, horrible play calling, horrible game plan, injury plagued young OL, injury depleted D, our best young play maker not playing the first part of the season (Byrd), and playing in a tough division. With a real QB last year we would have been playoff bound, not even a question, despite all the other issues.

    2. Mia still has major QB questions...lets hold off annoiting them a power until we see if Henne can make a big step this year. He is promising, but still isnt there yet.

    3. The goal for 2010 is not to get us to the SB, but to solidify the holes with some young talent that can develop this team into a real contender over the next couple of years. This year will be used to evaluate and develop our young guys like Hardy, Johnson, Nelson, Brohm, Bell, Maybin, as well as the guys we draft.

    4. We need to find out what we have in Brohm (assuming we dont trade for Campbell or Vick, two guys we have speculated interest in apparently) and this is the year to do it assuming he can win the job. We also need to find out what we have in Maybin, Hardy, and Johnson so we know what we need to address in next years draft.

    5. Our defense on paper already looks even better than last year.

For me, this team is heading in the right direction with the most important part being the emphasis and commitment to get these guys some playing time. Doesnt do any good to draft guys with lots of upside if we dont let them play and let them develop. I dont hold high expectations this year, but I do look forward to seeing what these guys can finally do in a game.

So all these people crying and mailing it in already for the season, what the heck were you really expecting in 2010? This is a new staff who is coming in and building their foundation, evaluating our young guys, and building through the draft, and I dont see anything wrong with that. I am actually excited to see how they develop over the season.

    Very well said
