  1. I agree with Skooby, everyone always states that the best teams never select for need, but instead the best available players. If this were to be the case however, Roscoe deal definately needs to go through.
  2. Plus the article claims they would have to move up ahead of Cin at #6. The whole thing would seem counter productive.
  3. I agree that Roscoe has value as a special teams player and i don't like the idea of trading him for a 4th round pick, but the comparisons to Welker are ridiculous. In the 4 years that Parrish has been here has he shown any value as a receiver?
  4. Everette Brown reminds me of Deion Sanders and Chris Weinke.
  5. Having no where near the size and playing a completely different position what does he have in common with them other than being from the same school?
  6. I hope you are joking. We play them this year because they are in AFC South. Last season because they finished prior season second in their division, same as Buffalo.
  7. I'm not sure there is a market for parrish, perhaps denney gets cut if a first round pick is used on a DE? Freeing money to sign an OLB?
  8. Winston Justice has been rumored in multiple trades this offseason.
  9. I am intruiged as to whether Scott could handle that position. Towards the end of last season after "the millionaire" was benched he seemed to always be around the ball. He was also highly regarded coming out of college but had injury troubles while in atlanta.
  10. Rnd 1 - Clay Matthews OLB ("compete" with Ellison for starting OLB job) Rnd 2 - Duke Robinson OG (can compete with Chambers/Bell for starting LG spot) Rnd 3 - Paul Kruger DE (serve as backup for '09, compete with Ellis next season to replace Schobel after he is cut)
  11. I dont think the figures listed on your link included any of the signings that they have made this offseason which would be approximately $30 mil cash to cap.
  12. The Tampa 2 works if you have good enough players to make plays without being in an attacking scheme. Therefore you forego the risk of blitzing, but still have playmakers who can create turnovers. The bills unfortunately do not have the playmakers to make the defense effective. I like the scheme, but not so much for the team that is running it currently.
  13. Agree on #1, scenario most likely would be for their 1st and 2nd rounders, not both 1st round picks other than the fact that the lions need a ton of players and so the argument could be made that they would want to keep all of their picks, i think it makes alot of sense for them to trade #20 and #33 and move back up into the low teens and take Andre Smith or Michael Oher to protect their franchise QB. This obviously assuming they draft Stafford #1.
  14. Is TO really known to be that big of a partier that it would be that large of an issue? I've been out in cities such as Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Nashville and none of them struck me as being that much more exciting than Buffalo. I'll give you that its not Miami or NYC, but there is a pretty nice bar district and they would have celebrity status out downtown.
  15. Way too high for Mauleuga. Maybin has passed Brown with his excellent pro day and Pettigrew isn't a good enough receiver or have enough speed to warrant being drafted that high. Would end up being the next Ricky Dudley. 1. DET: QB Matthew Stafford UGA 2. STL: OT Jason Smith Baylor 3. KC: OLB Aaron Curry WF 4. SEA: OT Eugene Monroe 5. CLE: DE Brian Orakpo 6. CIN: WR Michael Crabtree 7. OAK: WR Jeremy Maclin 8. JAX: DT BJ Raji 9. GB: DE/OLB Aaron Maybin 10. SF: QB Mark Sanchez 11. BUF: DE Everette Brown
  16. I hope they draft the BYU O-lineman that he bitched repeatedly in the video. did anyone watch the video of him jumping out of the pool, impressive. Too bad having the ability to jump out of a pool doesn't get it done on 3rd down.
  17. After it became apparent that Simmons wouldn't be signed I just assumed Chambers as the starting LG, he did play some at guard last season andthe coaching staff seems to think highly of him.
