what iam talking about is that window after the players are cut from thier preseason roster where players can sighn where they want to.For example the BILLs want to put Ellison Lankster on the practice squad they would have to put him on waivers first and wait for him to clear first before being put on the practice squad.During that time he would be fair game for anybody including the UFL

Will players that would have been on NFL practice squads elect to go to the new UFL for playing time or would they stay on an NFL practice squad to sharpen thier skills working out with the teams that sighned them.What would you do?

No way, I love the Bills since I first started watching them in the O.J. era in the early 70's at the old rock pile.I look forward to the opening of training camp and the preseason even though I might be in the minority.The time that I think football is far away is in late April after the draft (which I also look forward to) till the start of camp because the OTA'S are the thing that bores me the most.I just can't get excited over players in shorts. That really does'nt show me anything because I could do that and Iam 44 years old,fat and out of shape, LOL.But only if I had a beer or two so to speak.But yea I can see where you are coming from the presaeson games can be a little dull because they don't really mean anything except for the players trying to make the team but I like to see what we have from the new guys as well.I would like to say that there is nothing like the real season but the preseason does bridge the gap for me.

I have say this is a interesting post and a good question by the way. I'll give it a chance and watch it. The USFL failed because of thier piss poor money management not because of lack of talent, they way overspent and did'nt have the reavanue to back it up. Donald Trump and few other owners just got to greedy and killed the league. The XFL was just a get rich quick schem by Vince McMann that blew up in his face. Being owned by the WWE it had crediability issues right from the start.NFLE was just a developemental league any way.I think the ufl has a good plan here to start off slow and build up with NFL coaches and players.
