  1. I don't see why we can't walk and chew gum at the same time.
  2. I didn't say that? What I said is that the conservative movement needs to tone down the anti illegal immigrant rhetoric. It's ugly, insensitive and virtually will guarantee that 10 years from now if not sooner we will forever be an entitlement state ruled by progressives. We'll end up like Europe, high unemployment, high debt, high taxes and even higher energy prices. But hey, there will be alot of free **** offered to the new normal "middle class". You want that? What I also said was that we need to adopt more inclusive immigration policies, making it easier for people who have a desire to work to enter into this country. Allowing illegal immigrant parents WHO ARE ALREADY HERE, to allow their kids to go to college and illegals who want to serve in the military to have a pathway to citizenship is very reasonable. Don't you understand that once they become legal, they begin paying federal income taxes. I mean they are already here, they aren't leaving, so lets begin the process of bettering the economy, gaining more voters to vote for conservative causes, and just morally doing the right thing.
  3. Why is it a scam? It's not as if we are short on gasoline/diesel inventories, they are free to export what they wish. If we did have a shortage, or inventories were tight, then maybe you'd have an argument. Gasoline demand is way down here in the US simply because the economy sucks, so it isn't a gasoline demand or supply shortage story. As a matter of fact, gasoline is pretty damn cheap relative to oil, which backs up my point. The reason why gasoline is expensive is attributed to one very simple reason. Crude oil is expensive. Crude is expensive for tons of reasons. Higher global demand, Iran cutting off oil to Europe ( and yes Saudis are making up for the lost oil, but that means there is less excess oil available which adds to the premium of the price of oil), shortage of deepsea rigs and the cost attributed to that shortage, cost of extracting oil from the canadian sands, middle eastern insecurity, falling dollar, aging infrastructure etc etc. But lets not pretend that there is some sort of evil boogeymen hiding behind the curtain in collusion sipping on scotch along side Gordon Gekko and Dick Cheney fixing the price of oil. I know that's what alot of you would simply like to believe, but that's simply not the case. Prices are determined in the markets. There are buyers and there are sellers, and maybe at certain points prices can get a bit frothy and you can see some excess speculation that causes prices to overshoot to the upside. But I can tell you this, that's temporary, and those prices WILL come down, because someone will be on the otherside of that trade, and once the perception is that prices are too hot, those buyers will flee the market, the shorts will come in and prices will overshoot to the downside. T he SEC and CFTC have both clamped down on speculation, believing that somehow that that would serve as the panacea of rising oil prices. Well, I could of told them beforehand that it wouldn't work, and it didn't. But under the pressure from the upper ups they have to pretend that they are at least doing something for the average American folks. There are no boogey men people. If you want to blame anyone for the high price of oil, then you blame our US Energy policies over the past 40 years. We've allowed ourselves to be reliant on oil from a region of the world that hates us. So until we solve that reliance issue, expect to continue to see higher prices.
  4. Yeah, well they are full of ****, and I could get their little rin tin tin outfit log jammed in the poot shoot if they did indeed guarantee profits. Oh sweet baby Jeezus Ummm, no it wouldn't, would it knock of some? yes, a dollar? no. By "they" who are you referring to? This should be good You pretty much nailed it. Overall trend of Oil/Gasoline is linked to the erosion of the US dollar, but the recent spike has absolutely nothing to do with it. Oh yeah, really? Where exactly are you going to air your grievances? Better yet, who do you believe is responsible for the price rise? ya think?
  5. That's fine, he would either be rewarded for making that "bold" decision or suffer the consequences. What those rewards or consequences would consist of? I have no idea, but I would venture to take a guess that your stance is neither feasible or practical considering the ties we have Israel.
  6. Do you live on the border? And do you plan on becoming one of these "volunteers"?
  7. No one here on this board knows what Israel should or shouldn't do, we aren't privy to the information that they are. Anyone who opposes or pushes an attack on Israel is only trying to advance their own narrow agenda. What I do know is that our elecions here in the US shouldn't factor in at all in the calculations of what Israel should or shoud not do. Another point that I'd like to make is that I think it's absurd for anyone to suggest that Israel should follow what the US deems worthy of the best response for their own safety.
  8. So in short, to borrow my old line You've got nothing.
  9. Wow! You must have been one kool kid
  10. I understand that you sometimes just selectively allow things to go right over your head, the point you little twit was regarding phony outrage of the left. That was the point, HELLO this is REASON calling Dodo, earth to Dodo. Why don't we just get to the crux of your frustration. You and I both know that this has been a resentment of yours that has been building up for sometime. You happened to mention my references of the lemmings and obamabots on this board. Well, they are just that, lemmings. I mean, it is what it is. It's not my fault that you have tweedle dee and tweedle dum consistently making the case of the political ideology that you espouse. I'm sure if you got into the mix you'd make a better case than they do , but thats who has been defending the case of liberalism on his board. The case I make is made with an original thought process, facts, logic, reason, basic math. So when all I hear are parroted DNC talking points, you better believe that I will call them out for it. I don't need to hear what someone says or post a youtube to form my own thoughts, and that's what seperates the two sides on this board. Now if you wish to in the future get involved or argue the merits for or against a substantive policy issue, then by all means, lets have that discussion. But I never see you do it, you'd rather just lob your biweekly meaningless verbal hand grenades that do nothing other than just possibly give you a little release of tension from your day to day life. So the next time you see a substantive mattered discussion, then jump in, if not, then just STFU.
  11. "Phony hypocritical outrage from the right?" What is this? You're I know you are but what am I argument? . Lets face it, you and I both know that what you just said is a load of bull ****. You couldn't come up with anything else other than just parroting back my claim of hypocrisy from the left on this issue. Then you went off on a muddled diatribed tangent that had nothing to do with what we were talking about. Pathetic
  12. Not that anyone gives a ****, but I'm ummm, actually at a loss of words, just really disappointed in the cold hearted nature that people display. And it's not just Jim and LA who have these utterly detached and insensitive POV's towards illegal immigrants but I know there are at least 4 or 5 other of you here on this board that feel the same way. Im a tell you this right now, you're on the wrong side. I don't how one can quantify or make that judgement, but I just know it to be true. The best way I can describe it is as an extremely narrow-minded view. The vast majority of these people come here looking for a better life, so desperate to get out of the **** holes where they live that they will sacrifice their lives in order to have an opportunity of the American dream, only to be greeted by a bunch of bigoted !@#$s at the border with guns ready to blow their heads off. Please, just like you attack liberals with their strawmans, "Destroying my property" Whata crock of ****! or "drug smugglers" pffff Those are cases that are few and far between.
  13. You see, Jim !@#$face from Anchorage is a perfect reason why this "volunteer" squad should never occur, there are way to many like-minded people itching to blow one of these illegal immigrants heads off. You know its gonna happen, just a matter of time.
  14. WTF is wrong you? You disgusting excuse of a human being.
  15. I can just see it now, you will have one of these "volunteers" catch an immigrant crossing the border and the dude will run away from one of these "volunteers", and he'll get shot down in doing so. Bad bad bad idea.
  16. Wow! That's what you got out of that? Talk about thick-headed, the point wasn't to somehow suggest what Rush said was ok, it was to point out the phony hypocritical outrage from the left, dipshit.
  17. I agree, Rush Limbaugh is a fat purist bag of crap, now that that is out of the way. Where was the outrage when Ed Schultz called Laura Ingrahm a slut? I didn't see any Democrats making a big deal out of that. What about Bill Maher, he called Sarah Palin a cuuNt, and he has given $1 Million to Obamas SuperPac. Do you think Obama should return that money?
  18. Erik Erikson HATES Romney! He is one of those uncompromising sort of ideologues that I believe are bad for the country. He is sort of like that Marco Molitsas or however his name is spelled from DailyKos, one of the most vile pieces of political pieces of sh*t on this earth. Unfortunately it's these extreme purists from both sides that get the most attention.
  19. bwaaaak bwaaaaak conservatives are the party of anti-women bwaaaaak bwaaaaak
  20. I told you he was a parroting DNC talking point obamabot
  21. Mitt Romney: My plan is to cut corporate taxes down to 25%, cut everyones taxes down by 20%, means test Medicare to make it sustainable and viable for our children, slash spending and expand drilling permits to increase jobs and lower our dependency on mideast oil. Obama: I'll give you free sh*t! And I'll fund that free sh*t with the money from those oil tycoons, hedgefund managers and anyone who has 2 cadillacs.... oh and Republicans hate women.
  22. Did you really expect to him to post anything that resembles a coherent and complete thought without a youtube video?
  23. Exactly! Spot on! Wow! you really believe that? You truly are a bonafide lemming. No, really, you are. Exhibit A: Mindless meatpuppets who fall for the DNC election year strategy CONSERVATIVES ARE ANTI WOMEN Or Ed Schultz calling Laura Ingrahm a slut. Liberal hypocrisy knows no bounds Of course it's more "denfendable" you're a hypocrite.... Duhhhhhhhh
  24. Well since they've been in power, there really isn't too much positive to talk about. The economy stinks, unemployment even worse, the handling of the US debt even worse, and the leadership to tackle the looming ticking timebombs of the entitlements even worse than that. So in 2010, when Democrats had nothing to run on, they went with the theme that the Tea Partiers were racists and extremists. How did that work out for them? Now this year, they are going with another theme, which is that Conservatives are anti-women. Okey dokey
