  1. So what's the prognosis? Half the season?
  2. This is a concocted "controversy" inspired by the safe-space types.
  3. So what you're saying is that we are due.
  4. Not quite, the media will begin covering Trump in a more serious and urgent light, whereas before it was more entertainment/circus sort of coverage.
  5. So if someone smokes weed they must be a stoner? Well, if we are ignorantly labeling then I suppose if you have a drink of alcohol you are an alcoholic.
  6. Of course it is, this is a play to the base culture issue.
  7. So what's the possible lesson learned here? Don't toke and drive. Genius!
  8. I don't want to relitigate the whole issue because it was a doozy and I'll simply accept your answer.
  9. I think it goes without saying that like alcohol you shouldn't be driving while under the influence. This isn't even tangential to whatever point you were trying to make. That's like saying there was a robbery at a 7-11 and the store clerk was shot dead, therefore mini marts kill people.
  10. No he won't, you gotta keep in mind that he believed that Sarah Palin could have defeated Obama in a landslide.
  11. I don't see us paying over $5M a season to retain him unless he has some sort of a break out year.
  12. I could be mistaken, but didn't you once passionately argue that he has no political bias?
  13. There is just no way around this. It was a straight up verified lie and he gloated about it. I still can't believe the chutzpah of this !@#$bag Rhodes
  14. Not to mention that Big Pharma would fight this tooth and nail. Big Pharma is very happy with the status quo. Also, the central tenet of most other countries methods of cost containment is price fixing. The notion that they are going to compromise those containment measures on what is probably already their largest expenditure while they are already running huge deficits is in my view, is a pipe dream.
  15. You are right, it would lead to more trade wars and the reduction in R & D
  16. So in this instance you are endorsing price fixing.
  17. Albeit it was virtually against no competition he had great stats and when you combine that with his physical talents which are off-the-charts, I see him as having a decent shot at becoming an eventual consistent rotational player for the Bills. Zimmer is out of the public view of most of these evaluators that he isn't even mentioned here. I think he could be the gem of the pack.
  18. I think he's proving himself to be one of the better man-to-man cover men in the league. At times he can downright shut down the opponent but he does have a penchant to play right on the line with his physicality with receivers and is prone to penalties. But the way the rules are setup today to give receivers more of an edge, I don't have a problem with him giving up some penalties, just needs to be more aware of the situation of the play and take that into consideration. That play two years ago in Denver where he blew up that receiver, where the call could have gone either way he should have been more aware of the situation, realized it was a third down play and he could have let up just a tad and forced a fourth down with a simple tackle. Having said that, I do think he deserves a top 15% contract.
  19. I'm not so sure about that. I think the odds are with them that at least one makes the final team while the other goes to the practice squad.
  20. These culture war issues, so inconsequential yet so loud.
  21. I'll play along, provide me a scenario, pick a country and how would a negotiation look like? What would the demands look like, what do they get if anything and what do we get? And by we, are we talking about the pharmaceuticals or who? and if they didn't agree then what? I provided one of my solutions, the argument was sound and it would very likely bring down drug prices without any real affect on R & D. Let's hear out how a FireChan negotiation would look like.
  22. So what you are really saying is that you don't have an answer. Got it
  23. It wasn't a "tiny" lie, it was the whole basis of the Iran agreement.
  24. These are actual quotes from Rhodes, why aren't you upset with him and the administration? He admitted to lying.
  25. Pray tell how the US can change "price fixing" and dictate terms to other sovereign nations
