  1. The patent system for pharmaceuticals is ridiculous. Not sure that would have helped here that much, but without doubt if they shortened the time period which is 20 years, prices would drop. Without doubt!!!! Also, it is common practice within the pharmaceutical sector where the patent holders will payoff the generic producers in what is dubbed "pay for delay" to hold off on making the generic version so that they can continue to rape consumers. There is no bigger racket in our economic society than the pharmaceutical industry. It needs to be seriously reformed and in a huge way.
  2. Maybe because he has exhibited racist bigoted tendencies numerous times after the wedding?
  3. Yes, this is mostly true, (even though arguing pharmaceutical policy of foreign countries is akin to arguing about the effects of globalization, it's useless) still doesn't take away the fact that it was a complete douchebag greedy sort of move. And that company is now paying the price
  4. It's not just "3 years ago", he's beating out his competition for the #3 spot this training camp and in his limited action in preseason.
  5. Sure, I'll drink the Kool-aid. I believe this has the potential to be the best "team" we've had in a long time. Primarily because I believe this is our best QB since Bledsoe and that we have some elite level skill set talent to compliment him.
  6. In other words, he's evolved to Rubio's position. Got it!
  7. This was predicted. Some of us years ago had spoken about this in great detail. Major reforms will have to happen or else the exchanges will collapse and it is all happening even faster than I thought it would happen. They are going to have to offer the insurers backstops and bailouts in case of losses to bring them back into the fold and that still really wouldn't solve the skyrocketing premiums. I think they probably need to eliminate some of the taxes, take away some of the "essential benefits", maybe create a separate risk pool to alleviate some of the pressure of having to cover all these sicker people who are enrolling.
  8. I think the way you have to view it is how they played last year, since that really is the comparison we are seeking. So is P. Brown better than last year, considering everything we have been hearing it there is a night and day difference between the way it appears he will play this year as opposed to last year. Bradham last year had one of his worst years of his career and everything we have been hearing about Z. Brown, he seems to be playing solid ball. Obviously it's a bit premature to know if we are better than last year, but most indications point to yes.
  9. He isn't one of you, but he is counting on your vote. He needs those disaffected white nationalists to come out of the closet in record numbers so that he doesn't lose states like N.C
  10. With the new populist right wing, you get the best of both worlds, they don't understand science or economics.
  11. Unless your objective is to preach to the choir, I think you'd make a much more effective case if you eliminated the "makers" and "takers" meme. There are a lot of hard working people that qualify for subsidies, I wouldn't categorize them as"takers", it's not a fair or accurate characterization for a good portion of these folks . I don't have a problem with people that are earning less receiving assistance to help pay for their care. I personally think it's the right thing to do as a nation. What I have a problem with is just about everything else this law does and doesn't do. Having said that, this law does many things that are nonsensical
  12. And 6? You know, everyone likes to make fun of the "slow eyes" critique label, but if memory serves me correct, that was what that one analyst labeled Geno Smith, and I seem to remember a bunch of people criticizing that analysts opinion. At the end of the day, he was proven correct.
  13. I think you make good points and if we can somehow not get too many more key injuries, I do believe this team will outperform expectations and probably see a playoff bid.
  14. On the surface, I don't like this move one bit. There must be more to it.
  15. Your 50/50 on it because our players have been getting injured at an inordinate rate. My hunch is that in a typical year of injuries people wouldn't be as hesitant as they are today.
  16. It just happens, dude. Duh
  17. Yes, I've noticed that myself. Many of the accurate charges leveled against him, he's trying to deflect them on Hillary. He's such a putz.
  18. If you guys think I'm going to make any sort of a real effort in defending her then you are barking up the wrong tree. Accomplishments is a subjective term, I'm speaking more to her political accomplishments.
  19. She's a lousy political athlete, but she's accomplished, has a full resume, a Clinton and a female to boot, not to mention she has the shifting demographics on her side but most importantly she's going up the worst general election candidate this country has seen in my entire lifetime. I still remember clearly to this day, when he was campaigning against McCain, McCain would try to take down Obama with some sort of criticism of Obama, and Obama in his cool calm demeanor would absolutely demolish McCain in his stump speech. I'd cringe every night hearing the replays of his speeches Knowing that he was creaming McCain. Politically speaking, He was simply on a whole another level.
  20. Lack of subsidies aren't the problem. Is that what they said?
  21. On a substantive level Obama has shown to be out of his depth when it comes to foreign policy and his rollout of Obamacare calls into question his level of competence. He's not a good president. Politically speaking, he is the best campaigner I have ever seen. He is by far the best political athlete in the U.S. He has a pulse on what the general electorate wants to hear, America under 30 think he's a cool cat and minorities love him. Bottom line, with the shifting demographics he's damn near unbeatable.
  22. Even better than I thought. Looks like a good deal for everyone and if Tyrod takes us to the playoffs and has an even better statistically year than last, it ends up being a hell of a deal for the Bills
  23. Statistically speaking, insignificant. Here is a pretty even-handed argument/article with studies from both sides on the effects of illegal immigration on the economy. To your point: I'm not a proponent of illegal immigration, I am simply an opponent of the propagators of immigration misinformation via demagoguery.
