I got to thinking the other day, which player did I believe was going to be a sneaky good player in the league that was a complete bust?
For me I was sure that Andy Isabella was going to be a good WR in this league, and he hasn't done jack squat.

If we could get Zack Kuntz in the 4th round, I'd be a very happy man.

He still has gas in the tank. Not sure if he is needed considering we have Hines as a 3rd back.
-
Shaq Lawson is a very serviceable rotation guy, I'm hoping the Bills can bring him back at somewhere around the league minimum.
-
He got paid a lot more than I thought he would have. I was thinking around the $10M guaranteed range.
He ended up getting $15M guaranteed.
-
I was pretty high on him after we drafted him. Thought he could be an instinctive guy who plays fast, really good in open space who could be an effective blitzer.
Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to see him play all that much which worries me and the little we did see he didn’t play fast. I think that has more to do with him overthinking things than any sort of athletic limitations.
At this stage I would like to either draft or pick up a FA replacement for Edmunds.
-
I think the Bills are hoping that Addison drops and if he does, I suspect he'll be the pick. If Addison is not available they may go with one of the top two backs or a RT, possibly may even reach for a MLB.
Tight End could be a possibility as well, I can't remember a year with so many good TE prospects, there will definitely be a premium prospect available in the first round, but there are so many good prospects that I'd rather wait until the 3rd-4th round to grab one.
-
If this guy is available around round 4, you gotta consider him. I've mentioned him in previous threads.

Solid signing and good depth with Hyde and Poyer's age. Only 25 years old, so could be a good audition for him to sign longer next offseason
This is what it is.

If the Bills can get Hopkins then getting a RT and MLB with their first two picks would be what I’d like to see. Bring back Shaq, Jordan Phillips and With that the team is set to compete and win.

Arizona is holding out, they don’t have to make a deal today. But they will lessen their demands before the draft and someone will get Hopkins most likely for a 3rd and 5th sort of value.
Also, I found this clip to be interesting. Chris Brown who many believe to be a sort of mouthpiece for the Bills organization flat out saying that the Bills need to get a legitimate #2 WR.
Kinda like I was saying

The trade will be made official on the 114th page of this thread.
Make it happen people
With your continued contributions, I'm sure we'll get there by tomorrow.

Geez! It may be nothing but it’s certainly as good as any other supporting speculation to where things are heating up.

Keep your eye on Zack Kuntz TE Old Dominion. 6’7” 255 lbs, 4.55 40 yd dash, 6.89 3 Cone…. Athletic for his size, solid Run after catch, good hands. Still has run to fill out. Get him 5-10 lbs heavier.
Originally committed to Penn State.
I see him a late round 3 guy.
I still think Drew Sanders LB is the pick unless already gone and DT round 2. TE maybe round 3 and this kid is a sleeper.
So many of his catches are with defenders right on him and with his speed and a little hop he makes the catch look easy. For other TE’s not quite at that height or speed those catches wouldn’t look so easy.He makes lots of catches above his head look routine. They look simple and for his skill set they are. For others it wouldn’t be the same.

Yeah, he is interesting but there is some risk there. Big recruit to PSU but sat on the bench and has only started 15 college games. I feel like he will be a better pro than he was as a college player, but you have to be careful how high you take him so you don't wind up with Adam Shaheen.
He has shown flashes of being able to an in line blocker. If you watch the video he also has wiggle to his game so he isn’t some sort of a stiff athlete, he’s fluid.
He’s over 6’7 at 255 with 40 inch vertical, He’s a tremendous target to throw to. Just imagine him busting up the seam or red zone at that height, speed, fluidity and vert, the potential is there.
He will easily bulk up to 265-270 without effecting his athleticism.
I don’t know if he will be there in the 4th, but if he is I’d strongly consider him.

I really want this guy round 4

4th season Depth Signing...
SUPERBOWL!
Funny you mention that,
He was the starting guard for the Rams for the entire season, including Post Season and Super Bowl. He also graded out Decently above average on both Run and pass blocking that year.

It doesn't make sense to trade for DeAndre if you are team like New England who let's be honest here, they have no shot in hell in winning a Super Bowl with Mac as their QB.

Obviously, in order to have a successful franchise you have to make some meaningful draft selections that become impact players but what has equally important and shown with teams such as the Patriots, Rams, Chiefs among others is going through these short-term rentals through FA and trades to go after some key pieces to take them over the top. When you have a great QB it makes it a lot easier to get these players, as long as Josh Allen is the QB, they Bills should be spending the $$ and maneuvering the cap until the day J.A retires. By the time he is at his end or retires, who cares? It will be time to rebuild anyway. They should just go for broke every year they can while they have a shot.

I mentioned this a few days ago, if the Bills were to sweeten the pot a little bit, they could probably get the Cardinals to eat a meaningful amount of the cap hit.

I think it’s pretty mainstream that the team was completely flat and out of gas. There have been thousands of posts about hitting the wall after all the adversity of the season
There has been more posts about the fault landing squarely on the coaches fault. So yes, it is in contrast to the prevailing thought in this message board.
I believe on that day it was a failure on coaching and players.

Which NFL player did you think was going to be good but turned out to be a bust?

Not sure I know what you are talking about but Isabella had speed in the 4.3’s who was highly productive in college. I thought he was going to be a really good slot WR.
