  1. actually greene played corner too. not to nitpick.. but if memory serves me, he was either switched from safety to corner. or vice-versa. ,
  2. i love when the "old guys" post! so refreshing.. i thought butch byrd and booker edgerson were the two best corners at the time. as i recall, byrd was shaky in his first preseason game(s). did have a few missteps as a rookie.. but solid.. good at returning punts also.hopefully this will be a "glib free" thread.
  3. i am not ready to make any rash judgements, but i must admit that on more than one occasion during the past 3 games, i did make mention while watching the game with friends how i thought schwartz's D seemed more aggressive, and just plain . better. not ready to jump off the rex bandwagon, but JMHO
  4. all good thoughts by everyone and quite simply i agree with everything said. just reflecting on the last few years, lotsa hope was generated, particularly after that oakland win, and fitz-magic.. only to be disappointed as usual. this year, DOES seem different, the talent level has never been higher since 1999, same with coaching.. i can see 8-1 going into new england.
  5. i say incognito, his play has been damn good, and him assuming a leadership role would be natural and beneficial to the team and him.
  6. had a feeling this wasnt legit.
  7. that is what screwed the philly market out of it.. upon first glance, i figured that CBS would be the only game available in this market.. but that new "rule" about FOX and CBS switching conference coverage occasionally came into play im assuming.
  8. the Bills do not need to create crowd enthusiasm , not sure why they ring that bell and that B S train sound.. it is annoying and not needed. our fan base is not shallow. we are an established market, historic fan base. that stuff is arena league stuff.
  9. JMHO, hope the noise level is a factor, break the record, but i would actually love it more(SOMEDAY) if we were the visiting team and another team set the record because of their hatred for us. bobby orr once said, the more boos on the road, the more they fed into it. anyway.. want it to happen for sure.. but you know you made it when most of everyone else hates you.
  10. remember, the best years, early nineties, was blue and white, traditional.. but at this point, not a major concern
  11. these people here are downright nasty.. miserable ba$t&*rds.. would almost guarantee anyone wearing bills stuff will get harrassed, and not in a sporting way.. and i know we natives have experienced all the asshats at the ralph.. but these fans are worse as im sure you know. i havent been there, but have heard nothing but great things about that place, and everything i heard was more or less what you said
  12. wear a suit of armor my friend i go to my daughter and her family's place, they have the ticket, but i prefer to stay home, imbide a bit more.. but appreciate the offer of going to the flying pig, im in limerick, not that far.
  13. yea, but the bills game is at 4:25.. late game on CBS
  14. not to get ahead of anything, but unless i am missing something, CBS has the doubleheader next week and the only game i can determine is the bills v miami at 4 to most of the country.
  15. i agree obviously, and good shot next week too!
  16. Yep.. wait till sunday.. we all know there will be a roughing the passer penalty at the most inopportune time.. it is a given..
  17. Its hard to win in the NFL
  18. to let off a little steam perhaps? i for one , could not agree more with the OP point. sick of the B S from that organization, to say the least. and obviously kraft doesnt care, not the point. new england has been pulling illegal sh&t for years. people get tired of it.
  19. offsides indy.. they jump... next play quick slant to sammy.. long gain..
