great post......i almost never watch college football (not around on saturdays) but yesterday was an exception and i watched specifically because all these guys were going to be in big games......two biggest takeaways from yesterdays games were that pike just gets things done.....he's workmanlike, unflappable and played with a broken arm too.......and tim tebow will never make it in the NFL as a QB...... mccoy also seemed small and able to panic on a regular basis...... again, no college expert, but pike is really looking like what jim kelly wants in a QB....

good article in that russ brandon again sells the fairy tale that we are a small market franchise.......we are a third-ring suburb of toronto; we may be the most profitable franchise in the league, percentage wise......the bills have very little debt and pocket a substantial profit....they pay players, but have no organization....... it's not the job of any business to employ people or make money for the community....their only goal is to maximize profit......that's what the bills are doing.......very well by the way, maximizing profit......that $78 million from toronto went right into ralph's pocket, as it should.....but we are NOT a small market franchise; that's the big myth.

when i read the ad i thought it was insensative and just plain stupid........it's far from an apology and more of a mock that he did it in the first place.......i don't really know this guy but he seems perhaps more alzheimer than our owner, if that's possible.... bizarre behavior and bizarre ad

looks like the bad teams have more injured players.....one assumption could be they lose players, they can't win; but i bet there's a fair amount of guys nicked-up who aren't going to jeapardize their career because they know they're on a bad team and aren't going to push it.......which is an organizational problem.......calling in sick to work because you work at a ****ty place and don't feel committed, but are just taking the paycheck........

not sure if anyone mentioned this yet or not.....but when we sign someone off GB's practice squad they have a chance to offer that player a contract to keep him......it was reported today that Brohm was offered a two-year contract by GB, buffalo matched it and he took buffalo by choice because it was a "new beginning" and a better opportunity....... no biggie, but just saying, GB didn't necessarily want to lose him and he may have some value still.....

i don't know about the titanic comments.......a head coach makes a lot of difference.....we've all seen that and talked about that all season.....now, that doesn't mean perry fewell is the answer by any stretch......this is probably like giving any one of us a shot at it......but, one man in a leadership position CAN make a difference....... this is the NFL....the bills are not without talent.....just maybe DJ leaving caused a lot of guys to wake up and think they can play again.......maybe get back from injuries quicker etc......it's all between the ears......loved that he told the offensive lineman they simply cannot take penalties......he was going to take one of their fingers if they committed a penalty......that's accountability we haven't seen on the field in a while...... so, win or lose i think this sunday's game can be exciting again......if only to hope perry does well and proves everyone wrong and is a great head coach.......we absolutely need a GM with football credentials.....but the coach is always a crap shoot....."name" coaches are rarely the answer.......so fewell is as good as anyone THIS sunday, and we should all hope he creates magic....... great thread....go bills!!!!

thanks for taking the time to post this.....not everyone has the schedule to hear all this at all various times........i agree its been said before, BUT, i think your point was it was just said by some national expert again this morning on the radio.....and that is valuable to know and love that you took the time to post the info.......this site is great because of all the real info we get, not necessarily the personal opinions....... maybe its the holiday spirit or something......but we should be more thankful to those that take the time to report what the experts out there are saying.......OBD doesn't do this for us......

maybe it's because we all get sucker-punched so often by ralph wilson, but i'm hung up over the language used.....ralph wilson said dick jauron was relieved of his coaching duties......never said he was fired......and dick jauron is such a great guy, maybe he will still work for the organization in some other capacity???.......i'm just paranoid, but nobody ever said dick jauron was FIRED from the buffalo bills organization, escorted off the grounds and told to never come back.......ralph wilson would never want to pay anyone for doing nothing.... so, i'm going to be paranoid until i actually hear that dick jauron is in some other state, or on a beach somewhere, or spotted in europe.......maybe he's still going to be around evaluating players or something.....

yea.....a sports talk radio station needs to talk sports......that's the point. it's too bad that WGR spends time blogging on here defending themselves.....nobody else believes they are worth the time of day.

great post.....but it's gotten so bad that, after 8 weeks of one season we're already discussing next season's draft......the NFL needs to step in and do something about the bills' ownership situation - waiting until this one is dead is NOT a good strategy for the fan base....

i have turned off the radio, but every once in a while you instinctively go back to see if anything sports-related is being talked about. yesterday i tuned in at 3 PM and they were doing an "actors draft", whatever that is; i checked again at 5:45 PM and they were just finishing round 10 of the "actors draft"........they did this for an entire show? on the day of a nationally televised football game? sometimes you're stuck with regular radio in the car and tune in.......but it's gone way beyond pathetic local sports radio....i know the answer is "turn off the radio", which has been accomplished, but what about GETTING some local talk sports radio? don't we deserve something? anything? there is no way this station won some sports award as the best sports station in the world or whatever......the region WANTS something to tune in to, not just to shut off the radio..... any suggestions?......great thread because i think we deserve more around here, not just to be told to shut up and take what we are given.

expand your horizons and give the Audubon North, on Sweethome road in amherst a try next time. it's a dive bar but the food is the best around...everything made right there on site......the chicken fingers are actual chicken breasts cut, breaded and fried......not frozen from a package....and the wings are big, to die for, and cheap!!!.....they have a 20 wings and pitcher of beer special for something like $15 i think.......certainly under $20......and usually a competent, but also attractive, female bartender......

it's a job; it's a business; we can appreciate JP personally and still bash his performance......i can only imagine that JP himself started this thread......he's NOT an NFL QB and that's nothing to be embarrased about........i'm sure he graduated with some degree right?.....time to go to work for real....

this is a critical time in buffalo......ralph wilson is in the process of selling the team; he's too smart about money (and too cheap) to die while still owning the team because it would ruin the profit margin for his heirs......there is a larger game going on here and we all don't know what that is.......if cowher comes to the jets that's a game changer for sure........

wow.....great info; thanks..... if the bills stand pat with parcells, bellichek and cower in the division we won't sniff the playoffs for another decade......this is really a time of crisis/opportunity for the bills........

if you're worth hundreds of millions of dollars; own several successful companies AND an NFL franchise and you're spending your time reading jerry sullivan, you are doddering...... the next real news we'll hear from mr. wilson is that he's sold the team.......he's way to smart to lose money, and if he dies owning the team his estate loses money.......he's selling this team and we'll be the last to know......

the original post was dead-on.......i don't mind the personalities one bit; it's not personal. what is annoying about our only sports talk radio station is the lack of sports that gets talked about......there is too much "my wife told me ..." or chick-flick discussions........there is a huge market for someone who will talk sports......there isn't a station in town that talks sports these days...... good post......
