  1. +1 this board gets worse by the day
  2. He may be fragile, but he doesn't suck at all. He had a great game. Good try.
  3. Every day that I visit this board, I wonder why I returned. I wish that there was a board where people had knowledge of the game of football.
  4. He is good at that. You're right. We all know that though. The point of the thread is to point out how well the line played this preseason.
  5. I think that you guys are failing to do what almost all fans do at times... Give credit to the offensive line! I grew up a chubby kid, and played OL and DL through 8th grade. We never got any credit, just like a lot of offensive lineman don't today. I made it a point to thank my O and D lines when I switched to LB and RB in high school. They are the most important part of a football team. Now, before you jump on me: I saw CJ's elusiveness. It is amazing. I really really like Spiller. I'm not trying to take away from CJ, only trying to give some credit to our big guys. I re-watched all of the preseason games, and I noticed: -Bell looks like he's really coming around! I think he'll be among the above average LT's this season. He's lightyears ahead of where he was last year. I hope he can end the pre-snap penalties. -As we know, Eric Wood is the man. I've been a huge Wood fan since we drafted him. I went into the Bills store before last season looking for his jersey, and the guy thought I was nuts because I didn't want Maybin -Levitre is in the same boat as Eric. Solid Guard. Great in pass pro, very good in run blocking. -Hangman is as average as they come, but I was impressed with the way he moved on screens -Cornell is bad. I hope Jamon can take the job. Ultimately, I am showing CJ love, don't get me wrong. I'm just curious to know how Fred would have done. I think Fred would still be the starter if he got to play. Our line is going to be decent this year. Finally, I gotta give my prediction. The national media is wrong. All of our guys have another year under their belts. We're going to stay much healthier than last year. We have a coach who seems to know what he's doing. In spite of our terrible luck and coaching last year, we pulled out 6-10. There's no doubt in my mind that we'll be an improved squad this year. 8-8, and we miss the playoffs, but show a ton of promise for 2011. See you all at the game on sunday!! Lot 3, Pole 8. Come say hello to WordByrd in the Poz jersey.
  6. Donte sticks out to me the most. He's only 25! Seems like we picked him forever ago. I really like him against the run, and I think he's going to have a nice year in pass coverage too. I predict Donte to back up his talk this year.
  7. Such a shame. I really like Levi. He seems like a good guy. Hopefully somebody else can give him another shot.
  8. Bulls GO Bulls GO Bulls GO. UB 123 first down!
  9. Not if that kitty Trentative can't hand the ball off to him
  10. This is the song that never ends, and it goes on and on my frieeend :wallbash: :wallbash:
  11. #1- Good for Gailey #2- Thanks for making Rochester look bad to the d-bags who heckled #3- holy crap Trent, stop saying OBVIOUSLY!!
  12. I cannot wait to laugh at you in 20 weeks because of this statement. So wrong.
  13. I know that Buffalo has been looked down upon for many years by the national media, but what the hell is up with ESPN this year? I swear Ralph must have burned one of their producers, because every analyst LOVES hating on the Bills. I know this has been discussed before, but in the past few months, our Bills have been torn apart exponentially more than ever before. I just don't understand how the think "Buffalo is on the clock". The Bills are NOT THAT BAD! -We have a better coaching staff -Many of our players have another year of experience -We won 6 games last year, despite having half of the team on IR -We were in almost every single game until the end last year There are many more reasons to believe we will win more than 1 or 2 games. Feel free to give me more
  14. aww, poor Fitz
  15. Not unless Logan becomes a Tackle
  16. He's one of the guys I have really been rooting for. It was disappointing to see him out of position so many times the other night. I really hope Arthur has a breakout game thursday. Go A. Moats
  17. WGR sucks. Listen to the Bills brothers in Rochester (DiTullio, Maiorana, Catalana, Pitoniak) when they're on
  18. I agree with the fact that Aaron Maybin is a boy in a league of men, AND that Torbor is the dark horse for the lead. I think he's gonna be pretty good. I liked what I saw from Dwan the other night too
  19. I hope that none of you are stupid enough to clap when there's a good play at camp. This has been one of my pet peeves. #1 no matter what, if one player on your team does something well, it's exposing another player. #2 when they break a long run, chances are the RB would have been crushed 3 yards past the LOS. Sorry for the rant
  20. Those were my positions. Have him keep two hands through the first level (the D-line). He can switch to one hand for the rest of the run to allow more mobility. Work with him at home on keeping the ball "high and tight". Have the head of the football peek through his middle and ring fingers. Make sure he keeps his arm and elbow underneath the ball without exposing the underside. Last but not least SQUEEZE! You can even do a drill with him for 5 minutes here and there where he jogs slowly and you try to knock the ball out. He'll get it in no time. Shockdoctors are great mouthguards. I prefer the one's that don't have the pad on the outside. They're great for preventing dental injury. Maybe the one you got was a bad model? Gloves are a personal preference. I liked them for LB but not RB. I had LB gloves that had a small amount of padding that was almost unnoticeable, and it helped. Under dry conditions gloves are great on offense, but when it gets slick I felt like they hurt me. Hope this helps
  21. You're welcome to everyone who said thanks. I'll be in Boston for the weekend, but after that I will be doing a lot of reporting from camp for you guys.
