I don't think he will return to play LB, I just don't see him in coverage and doing well. I could see him retired. I don't see how Kelsey will make the switch to LB. So if Schobel retires I would move him to RE and replace him with Johnson on passing downs.

OK this is gonna be a challenge but I will give it a shot to see what y'all think. With the help of Madden 2010 this is the D that I tried a few times. I changed some ratings up or down based on what they did last year. For example, Wilson Williams and Florence was upped and players like Whitner, Maybin, downed. Set on Spectate mode. LE Stroud NT Williams RE Schobel ( if he retires oh well thanks dude) LOLB Ellison LILB Poz RILB Mitchell ROLB Maybin LCB Mc Kelvin RCB Florence Nickle McGee SS Wilson FS Byrd Played a few games with Kelsey at LOLB dont think that is gonna work way to slow in coverage. Think Wilson is good enough to start over Scott. Think McGee is better suited as a nickle back Ellison makes more plays than you would think. If Schobel retires put in Kelsey at LE and Stroud at RE. Maybin played better at OLB. Was able to get more pressure with Marcus at DE. Teams still were able to run the ball at Mitchell's side. Interesting to many blitz packages you can run. Overall based on this D we can get more pressure on the QB but still we give up yards on the ground.

Bills will seriously suck in 2010!!

Having half your D starters on IR does not help them but our offense was worse than the D. The Secondary i the strongest part of the team. -
That would be the smart thing to do . If the Bills are like 2-4 and going nowhere fast I would not rush him back.
-
Bro you can take Kim, but leave me sistas Reggie better put a ring on that girl, I would. Kim that is.

Jamal Williams would be on a plane right now if Buddy thought he had something left..... Maybe they are better off doing the draft , I believe the first 3 picks will be lineman Then if Williams is still out there after the draft we go after him.
-
If they hold him out during the preseason, they could still start him in Sept. at 90% health . That would be very impressive if he mad it back for the opener. But I doubt it.

I agree with a lot of what you said. I didn't read all the posts but this adds on top of the motorcycle accident he had. I guess he didn't lose an endorsement deal yet either. What a joke. Race is always a factor.

Lets wait and see what they do during the draft and the rest of the off season. I trust what Buddy is doing so far. I just think its way to early to say how long it gonna take. Yea it looks bad right now but I think they may have a plan this time around, well hopefully.... -

First of all I'm awake . Second who would have thought the Jets would be in the AFC championship game last year with a rookie QB. I don't think we are that far off like Buddy said. Man you people have little faith. 1- 15 then you can say we Really suck. 6-10 its bad but it could be worse, I think we surprise some people this year. -

yea Schobel's loss would set us back. But I don't think we are that bad on Defense. I like Williams, Poz, Stroud, Kelsay , Scott, Wilson, Byrd we get McKelvin back. Like to see McGee in the Nickle . Florence was a surprise. It was the offense that let us down VS the Saints, Browns, Jags, the T.O. Jets game. Special Teams maybe cost us 2 games. We had 4 winnable games lost due to lack of Offense. There's 10 -6 right there. So if the ish don't work, change it, which is WAAAY overdue on Offense, defensively I don't believe the 3-4 is rocket science so they will learn it during the OTA's. -

Well so far they have made good moves. Dehaven tops the list. Hopefully strength training and better football IQ they will get hurt less often. As for the 2 yr plan why wait until 2 yrs. why not this year? All they need is a serviceable QB , give the ball to Fred AND Marshawn, get Lee Evans somehow involved. Lee has the talent for a 100 catch season, they are paying him like it so throw him the Rock and make him earn it. But they can fix the line in one season if they focus the draft on Lineman, they have enough skill players. Fix the OLine THEN you get your QB. If they can do the above, the running game will be better if not great. Both Marshawn and Fred both have topped 1000 yds with weak lines. They both could get 1000 if the Oline was fixed. Then maybe you can say playoffs. There is a QB out there that might help is Troy Smith. Let him Brohm and Vick fight it out. Yes I said Vick to all you haters. Or if you cant smell me on the Vick thing, even more depressing..... Edwards. Man the best man win. -
Lets hope that the Bears don't let him leave town without a contract. Otherwise the Rich get richer if the Pats get Peppers.

This proves when you let Ralph in the War Room and play Al Davis...... Bone head pick and might not even make the team next year IMO. If he likes Penn State soooo he ought to take his playbook to the library and study before he goes after the Penn St cheerleaders -
Peppers and Tommy Harris and Urlacker, sounds good on paper

I agree for a 5th rounder yes, he is better than Vick, Edwards and Fitz right now. If you get Smith you draft a LT and a RT in the draft.

I could live with this. Cody worries me though, we may need the 2 Strength coaches just for him lol -
I wonder what this weekend will bring?

After midnight tonight they can seek deals if not tendered one. So Free agency starts at midnight tonight, by morning we will hear some news but not from the Bills..maybe later in the day. -
Bad news for those wanting a LT at #9

Free Agency changes the board big time. My mock draft will be posted next week sometime for all those who give a damn lol -
At this point I like Fitz over Trent..... Fitz has some balls at least to throw it downfield, something that Trent for some reason does not do on the regular. We are about to find out if Gailey can get some mileage from the QB's we have. Because I believe they are not going after a QB in the first 2 rounds, they are going after lineman which is the smarter thing to do at this point.

Denney, Reed, Owens are done in Buffalo

Say no to Chambers... Remember the pass he dropped against us last year in KC. He has been dropping passes in critical moments all his career. -

About time . I think Hardy is better suited for the slot. Big WR is too slow to play outside IMO Johnson show some flashes in the preseason. Time to find out if he can do it for reals. -

I think the Bills will stay at 9 and take the best OT on the board, they will get a good one. Plus they need 2 now with Butler gone. -
It was a bonehead pick. That is for him to play DE. If he can make the switch... he reminds me of Talley when he was younger, body wise that is not in play. He still so young in the game, he needs time, we may not see his full potential until his 3rd year. We have no choice but to wait and see.
