Fitzpatrick threw 2 costly INT's, yet....
fan_in_tx replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Way over his head? Hmmm I believe this is also way over TE Moeaki's head as well difference is Moeaki makes an effort/play on the ball. http://www.nfl.com/videos/kansas-city-chiefs/09000d5d81ad9156/QB-Cassel-to-TE-Moeaki-18-yd-pass-TD -
Biggest Issue at The Ralph Sunday
fan_in_tx replied to Ever Since '86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hate to put it this way.. but.... Raise the ticket prices and you will get a different class of people at your Bills games. I really can't believe how cheap it is to be honest.. Look on ticket master and compare your prices to others in the league and you will see how cheap it really is. There may be other benefits as well to higher ticket prices.. like maybe a higher profit margin for Ralph may convince him to pay out a higher percentage to free agents. I'm not sure this will be the case but in my mind it is worth a try. -

Looks to me that Trent isn't the only one who didn't recognize the blitz. Backside receiver (Lee Evans) is suppose to fill the gap left by the blitzing line backer, Lee is head down running up field.. Had he run the slant to the spot where the LB had vacated..he would have been wide open.. Not saying Trent would have seen him as his eyes are to the right.. but Trent isn't the only who didn't do his job on that play.

Whats the problem with Gash or Fullbacks for that matter? This guy was great and feared by many a defense. How many other Fullbacks do you know that go to the Pro Bowl without a single carry during the season? This guy was a game changer and set the attitude of the Bills of the late 90's .. Punters can't do that..but a quality fullback can. Can you imagine what this team would be like with a fullback like Gash blazing the trail for CJ..

Eric Moulds? Sam Gash?

Mixed Feelings Regarding Schoebel

Here is one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7OAzUqlaHQ I for one enjoyed watching Schobel at TCU and was glad he signed with the Bills. Solid player .. Phil Hansen type and had this been the Glory years.. his name would be remembered.. FWIW if he goes on and plays for Houston then good for him, however, if he signs with the dreaded Patsies and doesnt get the deal that he was asking for here, then no cheering for him what so ever. -

Wow ..whats the average age of this forum? Can't believe that it took till the 6th post to get the names of Cribbs and Butler out there. I was also Vince Feragamo fan as well.. Didn't he throw Andre one of his first TD passes as a Bill? Gotta love that. -
Just what we need, a career NFL Dome QB to now come in and compete with the swirling winds of Western NY. Sign him up!

Had those cheap hits on Favre happened to Brady....
fan_in_tx replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes.. Actually I think it may have been 48 yards.. Point being, there was no guarantee the FG would have been made. Bottom line is if you keep 12 men out of the huddle your not in that position in the first place -

Yep 5 yards and be perfectly setup for a 52 yard field goal. Nothing could go wrong there, ball setup on the right hash, it's not like it could ever go "Wide Right". -
Andre Reed Needs Our Help!! - VOTE LOTSA TIMES!!
fan_in_tx replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
??? Loyalty back to the Bills ?? Whats that about? AThis guy went over the middle time and time again for our enjoyment and to help his team win... Never once did I ever see Andre experience alligator arms like some top 10 receivers of today. Thats loyality and commitment to team. If I recall correctly didn't he have a knee injury during his contract year, which cost him offers from other teams and allowed Ralph to show his loyalty by lowballing Andre back to the Bills. -
INTERESTING Dan Reeves Comment...
fan_in_tx replied to Bash_Gash's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure if any of you recall or care for that matter, but Dan was tapped to work for the Cowpokes last season as a consultant to Wade and Garrett. Actually he worked for 1 day in Dallas, however after talking to Jerry Jones on the expectations and the commitment of 12 hr days to the team during the season (as a consultant), Dan decided to move on. What's my point? I don't think Dan Reeves has any desire to get back into coaching and the commitment it takes however I believe he would welcome a consulting position with the right team. -
On this day in history Ronnie !@#$ing Harmon
fan_in_tx replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Remember this like it was yesterday. Sitting in Champioins Sport Bar in SA TX riverwalk. Seeing Ronnie break open.. Kelly throw.. Fans in the bar (yes there were Buffalo fans in San Antonio TX) Standing up screaming yeahhhhh!!!.. followed by the dreaded AWWWWWW ... Couldn't believe he dropped that pass. -
Funniest/Worst/Most Controversial Call You've Ever Seen
fan_in_tx replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've never been able to find a replay of this game or incident anywhere. I recall this was a pretty good game and I think was Fluties first loss in Foxboro ever. My vote goes however goes to Home Run throw forward. -
Jim Kelly clears things up...
fan_in_tx replied to Wilson from Gamehendge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Many seem to believe (as do I) that the Bills need "Cold Weather QB" to help the team to compete in November and December. Kelly growing up in PA I believe helped condition him to playing with the conditions in Buffalo. Outside of Vinny Testaverde (who is from NYC I believe) How many NFL QB's or really good college QB's hail from the Empire State? Why aren't high schools in NY aren't producing big name QB's for college recruitment. Is it the system the high schools employee? Is the talent level that low? I tend to believe it is the High School systems... I looking at some box scores from a recent Sweet Home game I noticed the QB stats were something like 5/11.. Compare that to a QB in Dallas who puts the ball up around 32 times a game. My point being, why do the High School systems in NY not adjust their style more to the college game to help prepare their athletes? -
Was watching ESPN earlier..what was so special
fan_in_tx replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed for all the reasons listed above.. For BC it could have been anybody at QB in the 84 season. Any QB who would have accomplished these feats and then beat Mighty Miami in the Orange Bowl on a throw like that would have received recognition. The fact that he was 5' 8" and threw the ball 63 yards in the air only adds to the hype. For the record Kordell's pass was roughly 74 yards in the air (what a throw!!) and in comparision Fitz's big bomb this past weekend (which looked like he heaved it as far as he could) traveled 45yds in the air. I enjoyed the Flutie years in Buffalo but for what it's worth let's let it go man... This team needs direction now and there is no real hope yet in sight. -
Marty would be a great fit. After the crap he put up with in SD and AJ, I would hope he has the nads to stand up to Ralph and say he needs to run the ship his way. Marty's way will produce wins plain and simple. I would be careful about Billick .. he was not well liked by his players by the time he left Baltimore.
-
Would Rather have Marty... Has won in the cold in both in Cleveland and KC. and in the warm in SD... Who cares if he has never won the big one... I want someone who I know will give us an extra game or 2 in December and Jan. Let's get there first then we can talk about the big dance.
-
2001 I believe.. The Greg Williams experiment .. Phil Hansen asked why they would change the number 2 defense in the league at the time... I think we know how their record has been since.

Give Roscoe ONE more chance to get back on track

Loco's have scored more offensive points than the Bills.. The way this team is playing they may be in the UFL next year. -
Really? Glad the Hall of Fame voters don't look at STATS! Good thing coaches don't look at them either..

I think Drew Brees has 2 inches on him in height and thats about it.
