No way we can build with just the draft alone and all it's hits and misses. we need aggresive free agency to get a top notch receiver, a true OLB, a DE that can rush the passer, OL help, especially as a backup C. We need to get true starters in free aganecy and a new coordianotor on defense that can thake this teams strengths and figure a system it can utikize. No more troups or MccRagos and try and make them something they never were in college, ie good players against good competetion.
I know he was undrafted and not sure where he is right now, but Ryan Barthalomew from Syracusewould have been a great backup to wood at C that can actually snap the ball and was a decent run blocker. Is he on Arozona's practice squad?
Put Levietre back at guard and sign a real Center this week somewhere.
Hangatrener would have been perfect backup for depth at C and guard. No we cut him.
Nice article today in NY Daily News on Cookie Gilchrist. Going back to when I was 8 years old growing up in New Jersey, my first game I saw was against the NY Jets who all rooted for in my neighborhood. After I saw Cookie eat up the Jets that day I became a Bills fan ever since. Thought this article was a good human interest topic for one of our all time greats. The guy was a monster if you did not see him play. Enjoy:
