  1. Thanks for sending it to me... I have been following it now for a while and find it to be one of the better sites to look at on a daily basis.....good job...
  2. Good site...I will add it to my list......... do you have any others?
  3. It is always interesting to know what the other guy things about the draft....... Here is a site you can go to that will provide you up to date information and predictions about the draft... It is a fun site to go to when you have nothing better to do...... It changes daily....... http://www.walterfootball.com/draftdata.php
  4. I know what you mean. Try high lighting it. It makes it easier to read. I do that with other emails I get and it works........ do you have any other good sites to go to that are good reading ?
  5. Here is one good web site to go to for Breaking News in the NFL........... it is also a good one to follow for the Draft... This guy is pretty good. Maybe not the best but very interesting to follow... Try taking a look at this site: http://www.eastcoastsportsnews.com/als09scoop.html If you know of other good sites like this one just post them so we all can follow more closely, what is going on in the NFL...
  6. If you are interested in finding out the lastest on the Bills Salary Cap go to this web site: http://www.billszone.com/mtlog/archives/20...ry_cap_page.php It is not the easiest thing to read and follow but at least it will give you a idea of what the players are making Take a look at the bottom figure and it will tell you approximately what the Bills have to spend to the Cap this off season... Much of this money I expect will go to lenghten the contracts of our best players before the end of this coming season to wrap them up for the long haul. The Bills are in good shape financially. No Where near Salary Cap Hell...... We still need to bring in starters at TE, OLB, OG, along with back up talent at WR, C/G, RB, DE, DT, CB, and SS..... if we are to improve...... We still have free agency and the draft to get the job done.....
  7. Have the Bills ever been so disorganized? The Latest example is cutting OG Dockery fiasco...unbelieveable...... Then we have a owner who rehires Head Coach Jauron........ We now have starting positions to fill at ...LG, Center, TE, (maybe RB), OLB, a pass rusher, another CB to replace Greer and the list goes on. We have a starting LT who is making half of what his peers are making...... Who is in charge...??? Certainly not a quality football man....... We do not have one........ What we have is: A marketing man, a finance man, a 90 year old man and his daughter is who... Not one football person in the inner circle... No wonder all and I do mean all the fans are upset with the Bills.....No way is this a aggressive organization bringing in talent that I thought we were going to get. Just look at what the other clubs are doing right now in free agency bringing in the BEST of the free agents... Yes we will get more free agents... we have to...but again we can expect at best is just a mediocre team ... I hope they can win 3 games this year and not get shut out like Detroit did last season......... This is the time of the year the team should be giving fans hope for the future........ I believe they are letting the fans down big time right now. Damn it... Do you feel we are better off right now then at the end of the season or even the beginning of last season when the team on paper looked good? What a let down.........
  8. Bills are in a terrible place leadership wise......and now it is looking like money is a real problem. They are now allowed a cap 127 million, but do they have it, might be another question? The Bills have the lowest ticket prices in the NFL. Other teams have waiting lines to buy season tickets at prices very much higher then what the Bills are asking for. In some cases they have to buy the rights just to buy season tickets. That is what a big city can do for a owner. Just look at the predicament the Bills are now in during this off season.... It does not look good .... and now we find out how management screwed up letting Dockery go, trying to do a deal at the very last moment....... I call that poor leadership at the very top....... The Bills now have a new Back up Quarterback........ Now all they need now is a starting OG to replace Dockery... A starting center to replace Preston and Fowler who they cut.... Another C/G to replace Whittle when they let him go... A starting TE to replace Royal who they released...... Another CB to replace CB Jason Greer...... Another OLB when they let Crowell go ....... A Starting DE to give them a pass rush ..... Another DT to possibly replace McCargo who has a bulge in his back ..... Another Strong Safety who can actually play and not be just a backup type player... Then there is the problem of Running Back...Will Marshawn still be on the team this year ? TEll me your thoughts? Do you think the Bills are in pretty good shape going into next season or do you feel they will be lucky to win 3 games? How many key players do the Bills have on the Team ? or could possibly make the Pro Bowl next year? Then compare it to other teams...OUCH That is the major problem with this team......... Total lack of talent and the Bills not willing to bring it in.....because they just do not have it to spend... Remember they are allowed to spend 127 million on players but do they actually have it is another question?
  9. The guy who writes for BuffaloRumblings is damn good. He also has other guys who have great depth of knowledge that contribute. It is a good read on the Buffalo Bills. I have them in my favorites along with twobillsdrive and BuffaloBills.com..... If any one knows some other sites that keep up with the Bills on a daily basis I would like to know...
  10. Cutting Dockery to me means the Bills want to vastly improve the Offensive Line. It all starts in the trenches guys... The Bills must have someone already lined up to play the offensive line either at Center or Guard...If they are planning on bringing in a Center, the Bills could draft one of those big offensive linemen in round one and move him to guard. WOW..... Talk about upgrading the O-line. Bills love those big guys with talent. Making this kind of move would be smart. Hopefully Peters will get new contract, if the Bills are smart. Walker is above average. Butler just got a new contract and is improving his play. A move like this will give the Bills a much stronger line... I just wonder what new F. A. they have lined up to play the offensive line for they are leaving one huge hole to fill if they are not prepared.
  11. [ I believe Walker stays where he is at RT...same with Butler ant RG..... I bet we bring in a big name offensive Cener / Guard and draft one of those big Tackles who can move inside to play LG. I have the feeling now the Bills will be aggressive in Free Agency... I would also not be surprised of more big changes coming up that have been discussed in this forum..... Looks like the Bills are on the Move....
  12. Cutting Dockery is really big news Bills hopefully have some big plans in mind or have his replacement all set to sign on Friday AM... Wilson wants a better offense. Maybe we are about to see a change in attitude and responsibility making this a much better club. I like the move for Dockery was a drag on the offensive line and in the salary dept. He never produced the way he should have for the salary he made. I do not know how this is going to affect the salary cap however. That info. still is to come. But I like the move so far. Let's see who they have in mind for his replacement..........
  13. The League just announced the New Player Salary Cap at 127 Million....... Now lets see what Mr. Wilson is willing to spend ? Will he keep CB Greer with the additional money ? Will he give OLT Jason Peters a new contract to make him competitive with other LT's ? We know he needs talent. Best to keep our own players happy first.... I really hate to say this but I do not believe he will spend to the cap like the other clubs will be doing...... I will just make a guess and say he spends 95 million is all.......and I really hope not... We will get a good hint come this weekend when most of the quality Free Agents are picked...... We will find out shortly if he is opening up or shuting up with his money bag.... I really hope he allows his people to bring in some good talent in positions of need...... So the spin doctors do not have to sell us on the idea of how good a job they did bringing in talent...
  14. I do not blame RB Fred Jackson for not signing his contract....... The Bills have had plenty of time to give him a fair contract..... There are no excuses for holding it up unless they want to trade him..... I do not think this is what they want to do however... I hope we are not in for a long drawn out event like we had with Peters last year. That outcome was terrible. We may see it reinacted all over again until the Bills pony up with a competitive salary offer for both Peters and Jackson....... I say get the deal done and stop dragging it out unless you are going to use them for trade bait.... The Bills do not seem to be very pro-active in keeping their good players. I see the same thing with CB Greer......... We have a really good cornerback who wants to play for the Bills at a competitive salary. The Bills to date have only offered half of what other corners are getting with the same kind of talent..... Something is wrong here. But NO....... We have a team that only seeks mediorcity on the field and off. We as fans are being asked to accept this and still come out in force to accept the average Bills team that they put on the field. Something has to give down the road.......
  15. At this point in time I do not know who the Bills Free Agents will be if Any. Here is my War Room Draft Board as of Right Now......(by just a Bills Fan) This will no doubt change after the rush on Free Agents and we get closer to the draft......... 1st Choice .... LB Aaron Curry ........................... Best Line Backer, but will be long gone 2nd " .... WR Michael Crabtree ................... Best WR and most likely will be gone before the Bills draft 3rd " .... DT B.J. Raji ................................. Damn Good DT & would look good in a Bills Uniform...keep your fingers crossed 4th " .... DE Brian Orakpl ........................... Maybe the Best DE for the Bills .......if they decide to draft Defense with the 1st pick 5th " .... TE Brandon Pettigrew ................... Wilson wants offense... I believe he will be their 1st pick... 6th " .... DE Michael Johnson ...................... Great Athlete ... Tough call here... 7th " .... DE Ayers .................................... Moving up the charts and could be very good 8th " .... DE Connor Balwin ....................... Will be a very good athlete and could surprise. Bills will most likely call him in for another review 9th " .....LB Brial Cushing ........................ Would look good in a Bills uniform. Can pass rush and be a stud stopping the run...... 10th " .... DE/OLB Arron Maybin ................... I was big on him till his slow time in the 40 of 4.78.... He was a lot faster at 234 lbs...He is now 249 lbs. 11th " .... DE Peria Jerry ............................. Can play inside and outside ... is quick with lots of upside Now that I have told you my picks I can almost guarantee they will select someone else ..........lol The Bills have always been full of surprises on draft day and I do not see that changing at all... Wilson says he wants more talent... Modrak stated there is a lot of pressure at One Bills Dr. to get that talent in. Jauron indicated the uneasyness going into this season because of the fan unrest. Everyone knows they are under the gun to perform this year. Their jobs are all on the line more then ever. GM Russ Brandon will have a very difficult job selling tickets if Management does not show a great effort to obtain good talent in Free Agency and have a outstanding Draft the fans will love. The fans have spoken. As we learn more about the above players and others we will probably change our minds several times. I still think TE Brandon Pettigrew is going to be the pick in the first round after all is said and done..... but it will be bounced around a lot before draft day. Even trading down to get a extra two or three pick would be a solid move for their is great depth in rounds 2 and 3....Lets hope they get themselves a stud.
  16. Free agent CB Greer is being offered by the Bills 4 millon a year for a 5 year period. That's 20 million. In free agency he may be offered twice that amount. Where is the money going to come from? Right now TV pays for most of it. BUT... CBS in the last quarter lost 52% of its revenue. The ad money is not coming in. The same is happening with the other networks. People are losing jobs, being cut back etc. Times are tough. Is the NFL immune? I think not. Times are not good in this country. Players salaries can not and will not keep esculating. What will happen if the TV money is cut back and it could? ....... The salary caps will get cut back maybe from 123 million to 80 million. It Could happen. Will the Unions expect the owners to pony up the balance or be willing to have a across the board cut in players salaries. That is to be determined. But who is worth 8 million a year anyway? Those salaries the players are receiving are way out of line with reality with what is going on today. I guess it is ok though for they are getting what the market will bear.... but for how much longer. Things have to change........I guess they will try to get as much as they can while the getting is good. I would.....
  17. Personally I love the pick at #11 by the Bills. He has it all going for him but great speed. You do not need great speed 10 to 20 yards out. You need to separate just a foot and he makes that look easy when watching him on film. Great hands and athletic ability. Edwards will love him and so will the fans. Pettigrew would be a nightmare matchup for a linebacker. Outside, he would be a tough matchup for a short cornerback. And he has the agility to line up outside and be as effective as some wide receivers. Add to that some scouts’ description of Pettigrew as a "devastating" blocker and it is easy to see why this player will likely turn heads at his combine workout. His time of 4.85 in the (40) is not great, but when you watch him catch, he is so smooth and makes it all look so easy. Takem Bills ......
  18. Besides the legal charges... What do you think would be appropriate as far as punishment to Marshawn Lynch from the NFL league office? Do you feel there should be no suspension? A one or two game suspension? A Four game suspension or even a full year suspension for the three misdemeanors? What would be the best way to handle this situation from the leagues point of view...What would be the best for Marshawn? Does Marshawn need a wake up call?
  19. Most real Bills fans are very angry with Bills management right now. We do not like the way things have played out over the last nine years. Where is the talent to get us in the playoffs? Why are the Bills not spending to the cap but well under it. Why does the owner except Mediocrity so openly. What will the Bills do about improving this team during the off season? We will hear from all the spin doctors telling us how wonderful they did in F. A. and in the draft. I am sure of that....... They have fooled us for 9 straight years with this baloney...... Well I will tell you this....... I will be the final judge. I will do it with my pocketbook..... If I believe we will have another uninspiring team on the field I am staying home...... I want to be able to say the Bills can win on any given Sunday. I can not say that right now and be truthful to myself, not the way this team and its coaching staff has been built over the last 9 years....... Bills management has let the fans down big time. We want to have at least a competitive team ....... Right now before free agency and the draft, it looks like another has been year ahead of us. If we can win 5 games next year we will be lucky. BUT if the Bills management gets off their duff and does something constructive by actually bringing in good talent, it will once again give the fans real HOPE again. Something the fans do not have right now, but are willing to accept with open arms, if the Bills start acting like they once again want to win instead of accepting Mediocrity .........GO BILLS ..........
  20. A PRO BOWL player in the first round I am talking about a true starter in the Pro Bowl, Not someone selected to the Pro Bowl as a alternative..... I am sure there is a answer but what I am really getting at is how poorly the Bills draft year in and year out....... Just look at how many players they pass up over and over again who make the Pro Bowl...... What does this tell you ............ Will the situation ever improve? I dunno...
  21. What the Buffalo Bills need the most going into Free Agency and the Draft is one thing..... That is to make better decisions on selecting talent in both F. A. and the draft. The inner circle that we have been hearing about now has Mr. Wilson, his daughter (a scout), Mr. Littmann (the teams finance man) and Russ Brandon the GM, (his expertise is Marketing and not football talent) in charge of all the franchise decision making. Just this year we have found out that Mr. Wilson is really upset with the lack of talent on this team. He made the decision to bring back all the coaches like it or not. He also decided to finally bring into the inner circle Tom Modrak, to be charge of on field football operations selecting talent in F. A. and the draft. What will most likely happen is that Mr. Wilson will again make the final decision as to who the Bills draft in the first two rounds and leave the rest up to Tom Modrak having the final say. As to free agency Mr. Wilson will leave those final decisions I believe up to Mr. Littmman and Tom Modrak. Mr. Littmann will inform Mr. Modrak if we can afford certain players. The pocketbook comes first and foremost. This leaves me to ponder what Mr. Wilson will want to do in the draft. He stated he wants a lot more offense. I believe if TE Pettigrew has good numbers in the combine he will be Mr. Wilsons selection. Pettigrew has it all going for him except speed. He is only average there. He has however great ability separating from his defensive man. He showed this in college along with his other attributes. In Round 2, the Bills need a DE and I believe Mr. Wilson will go in that direction. This is just my opinion however based on past experience. If however he keeps his hands totally out of the draft and lets Tom Modrak take over I think we will end up having a really good over all draft....... It is all in the decision making of the real football people who know talent. Why have someone who knows talent, always take the back seat like we have seen over the years? The scouting department has looked pretty bad over the last few years because they are not the ones making the final decisions. Hopefully this year they will........ Then the Bills will rock and roll the way we want them to ..... it would be a real beginning.....and a change from previous years .
  22. We can think about it... That's ok... Once we find out the out come of this latest event with Lynch the Bills may decide to do nothing. They may decide to get a F.A. or draft another running back which they may do anyway. Oman may have been a bust. He did not look particularly fast when he did get in the little he did. It may be too soon to actually tell. The Bills have so freakin many needs no one, even themselves know what is going to happen in F. A. or the draft. Remember, we do not have a football person in charge of acquiring talent who has the final word. Mr. Wilson has that power over the first two picks in the draft for years now.... You can see where that has gotten us. Out of the playoffs for what, 10 years now???
  23. Buffalo Bills' running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested for possession of a concealed firearm Wednesday night in Culver City, a neighboring city of Los Angeles. Lynch was released on a $35,000 bond and the District Attorney will now consider pressing charges. Here is the statement from the Culver City Police Department: On Wednesday Evening, February 11 2009, Culver City Police Officers were patrolling the Fox Hills area of Culver City when they contacted three adult males seated in a 2006 Mercedes Benz. Upon contacting the occupants they learned one of the subjects was Buffalo Bills running back; Marshawn Lynch. A subsequent field investigation led to the discovery of a loaded firearm. The officers determined the gun belonged to Lynch and he was arrested for possession of a concealed firearm. Lynch was transported to CCPD booked and later released on bail. The case will be submitted to the District Attorney's Office for filing consideration. The Howard Simon Show will cover this story starting at 6 Monday morning and will get the reaction of Buffalo News columnist Jerry Sullivan at 7 and our own Paul Hamilton at 8.
  24. Right now I agree with you on both players. Maybin I heard is now 6'3 and weights 250. He can fly off the edges to get to the passer.... He is moving up the charts fast and would be available to the Bills at number 11 in a position of need. The TE is the best and would also fill a Bills need. Wilson wants offense. Your two picks are great ...... We will know more about the players when the combine is over. I am sure the writers in the media will also narrow down the choices for the Bills....
