http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/919...tm_term=packers Green Bay — If the Green Bay Packers are interested in acquiring a veteran running back after the draft, add the name of Marshawn Lynch to that of Brian Westbrook on the list of possibilities. Lynch, a 1,000-yard rusher in 2007 and '08 but with a long history of off-field problems, wants out of Buffalo and the Bills appear more than willing to trade him. "I'm sure they'd be willing to take whatever at this point," a personnel director for a National Football League team said Friday. "They've got too many guys and they're trying to move him, but I don't know if there's much activity. He just doesn't want to be there. Just not a good situation." The Packers might have selected Lynch with their first-round draft choice in 2007, but the Bills took him with the 12th choice. Four choices later, Green Bay took defensive tackle Justin Harrell. Lynch was suspended for the first three games of 2009 after pleading guilty to a weapons charge. Fred Jackson then played so well that Lynch couldn't get his job back. When the Bills drafted running back C.J. Spiller with the ninth pick Thursday night, Lynch's career in Buffalo appeared finished. Lynch, who turned 24 Thursday, has two years remaining on a modest contract. He hasn't been participating in the Bills' off-season workout program. In three seasons, the hard-running Lynch has rushed 650 times for 2,601 yards (4.0) and 17 touchdowns. He also has 93 receptions for 663 yards. Last year, he rushed for 450 yards. "He went to the Pro Bowl," the personnel man said. "He's a good player." Lynch, 5 feet, 11 inches and 215 pounds, played in the same backfield with Aaron Rodgers at the University of California in 2004. Westbrook, 30, became a free agent Feb. 23 when the Philadelphia Eagles released him.

If it's Spiller at 9...
TheBlackMamba replied to South Jersey Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everybody knows the Bills need a LT, OLB and a QB among other things. I think drafting for need and not the best player available has been one of their biggest problems for the last 10 years. For instance, if CJ Spiller is available at #9 and the 3rd of 4th best OT is available and the FO feels he's the best player available, I don't see why they wouldn't take him. -
If the Bills get a Stud LT (huge if)
TheBlackMamba replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
anyone else think that the sigining of incognito signified that the bills are going to keep levitre at LT, wood at LG and incognito at RG? i dont think they are going to draft a qb or lt....i think they go defensively and get a lb and dt -

What is so bad about Buffalo?
TheBlackMamba replied to BLZFAN4LIFE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My guess is it's a little bit of everything. We have a meddling, 91 year old owner, a losing culture that is extremely difficult to shed (see Cubs, Lions, Sabres, Browns, etc) and to top it off sh*tty weather. A lot of people from Buffalo are sensitive to criticism of the city because they/we are from here. We are a city that dwells on the glory days of the past, whether iit be our sports teams or the economy. Our city and our sports teams have done nothing innovative to improve the situations that have been dealt to us. For example Pittsburgh was every bit the blue collar, factory town that Buffalo was/is. The difference is Pittsburgh has changed with the times and has moved towards being a tech centered city. Think of it from an outsiders perspective...why the hell would anyone want to come here and deal with Ralph, 7 (not 8) homes games a year, our losing culture and the fact that is cold as f*ck 7 months out of the year. -

All I know is that if Nebraska had ANY sort of offense...Texas would have lost that game. Nebraskas defense is filth. -

i know this probably seems petty, but i think the current uniforms symbolize the last decade for the bills. i think they need a change, sort of like what the sabres did after the regis era. i figure they canned jauron and are most likley going to clean house in the front office, why not change everything???
-
my only hope is that Jauron isnt the scapegoat for the team and nobdy else gets axed ar years end
-
i think im more of a fan of the 56-10 on Sunday Night Footall thrashing by the pats in '07, when the bills were supposed to challenge the pats for the division down the stretch...that was loads of fun!
