Of all the things that I cook, pancakes are in the running for the food that gives me the most trouble. Not sure why...in comparison to everything else, I suck at them. Part of the reason I like the ghetto version is that I'm actually very good at those If you have a knockout pancake recipe/method, please PM me.

Warning: if you are like me, then once you do, you'll be obsessed. They are an amazing replacement for real pancakes.

Protein powder + Greek yogurt spread over rice cakes...amazing A couple of potatoes sliced super thin, squeezed between paper towels to dry, given a thin coat of olive oil, heavily seasoned, and microwaved on HIGH for 5-6 minutes until crispy makes some darn fine homemade kettle chips. 2 mostly bananas mashed (do not puree) + 2 beaten eggs with a dash each of vanilla/cinnamon/baking powder makes a surprisingly tasty pancake batter. Make sure you use a nonstick griddle with cooking spray, and cook them over med-high heat. Makes a GIANT stack of pancakes for ~350 calories; add a tablespoon of real maple syrup and you're looking at a delicious late-night caper for a mere 400 cals of nothing but healthy ingredients.

You'll do fine John, so just relax. As for advice, you've gotten plenty of good stuff here. I'll toss in my 1 cent... In my experience, no one single thing endears a man to others as much as the ability to listen. I've learned that connecting with others--especially women--is a matter of asking questions that I sincerely want to know the answer to, and then actively listening. Most of all though, have fun. You're getting a brand new start and I hope you enjoy making the most of it.

Are you happy you have it? I thought about getting one when my mom passed, but never pulled the trigger. -
You need to go...now. The 3 Little Pigs and The Godfather are just...wow.

I'll be 100% honest: right now, I'm trying to decide if you're just messing with me, because the other alternative wouldn't speak well of you... 1) the player profiler site doesn't have data that goes back to 2014 2) the poster asked for a comparison for when he's on the field, ergo an analysis of the games he missed would be idiotic in light of that request 3) I already answered your tangential-to-the-point-at-best question about why they didn't pick up his option 2 pages ago http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/194793-sammy-to-be-100-ready-to-go-for-training-camp/page-2?do=findComment&comment=4437962 For the sake of your reputation on the board, please consider stopping the nonsensical garbage where you ignore all facts presented that run counter to your argument. -

Really, really intelligent question Rocky. Bravo for adding some meat to the discussion I don't know that I've done this exact deep dive before, so I'll hash it out a bit. I have a few sources for this, but the easiest for comparison's sake is an NFL.com piece on the 2015 season: http://www.nfl.com/fantasyfootball/story/0ap3000000693785/article/wide-receiver-target-distribution-for-all-32-teams The best source, IMO, is Player Profiler, which shows each WR's rank in terms of target share and HOG rate (which shows a player's percentage of targets per snap): https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/sammy-watkins/#/current-year ^ the downside is that you have to search player-by-player Here's what we can glean: 2015 Opportunity Numbers Sammy ranked 42nd in snap share, 35th overall in targets, 11th in target share, and 31st in targets/snap played Beckham ranked 1st, 7th, 10th, and 14th (respectively) in those same categories Julio ranked 29th, 1st, 2nd, and 1st Antonio Brown ranked 1st, 2nd, 1st, and 6th Mike Evans ranked 34th, 10th, 5th, and 7th 2015 Production Numbers Sammy ranked 36th in receptions, 19th in yards, 9th in air yards, 11th in TDs, 1st in yards/target, and 40th in catch rate Beckham ranked 8th, 5th, 10th, 4th, 19th, and 51st (respectively) in those same categories Julio ranked 1st, 1st, 3rd, 11th, 19th, and 26th Antonio ranked 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 7th, 13th, and 11th Evans ranked 21st, 11th, 7th, 59th, 40th, and 95th As we can see, there's a direct correlation between target rank and rank in both receptions and yards. Now, it's also worth noting that (from the NFL article linked above) Sammy's target share increased to 32% from weeks 9 to 17 of the season--a rate that would've trailed only Julio Jones for target percentage. Not coincidentally, their numbers during that period look like this: Player---Targets----Rec----Yds---TDs---Catch %---TDs Jones------101-------66-----979-----2-------65-----------2 Watkins-----70-------49-----900-----7-------70-----------7 http://nysportsbiz.com/2016/01/04/sammy-watkins-arguably-nfls-top-wr-2nd-half-season/ So, to sum up: Watkins' massive increase in target share in the final 9 games of 2015 is the only reason he's even in the same vicinity as the other WRs in terms of opportunities, and as the numbers show, he routinely does more with his opportunities than the others. -

You're wrong again. I've posted Watkins route distribution on this page before, but once more can't hurt: http://www.thebackya...is-ceiling.html According to the above, in 2015... 23.5% of his routes were fly patterns 50.4% of his routes were inward-breaking 26.1% of his routes were outward-breaking I also see that you're back to making straw-man arguments. I have no clue how you can draw any conclusion that I'm happy with 17 years of no playoffs based on the fact that I won't let you get away with making false statements about Sammy Watkins. Then again, I don't know how folks like yourself can get your vs. you're wrong every single time either As to tough players playing through pain, imagine if Sammy was the most productive receiver in the NFL over the final 9 games of 2015 while playing on a broken foot...that'd really be something #factsoverfeelings -

You really know how to walk into a trap, don't you? YOU made the original comparison between Reed and Watkins. Doesn't it make sense that if QBs threw less, WRs caught fewer balls, and passing in general was less prolific, a WR like Reed would play a higher percentage of his games than a guy like Watkins? Thanks for proving my point, and thanks once again for not taking issue with a single fact-based argument. You and I are definitely done here. -

No, when someone discusses actual statistics with context, it shows an effort to understand what the numbers are telling you. When someone comes into a discussion with a blatant attempt to mis-characterize the point being made, and provides absolutely no content aside from said mis-characterization, it reeks of nothing more than an emotional reaction. That you followed it up with another mis-characterization in your next response to me compounded the issue. I don't need you to agree with me, and I have no use for an echo chamber. You seemingly want to complain that he misses too much time and is always hurt. Well, I pointed you to other players (like Julio and say, Antonio Brown) that missed similar amounts of time in their first 3 seasons in an effort to show you that his availability ratio is hardly unusual. I notice that there has not been one single point of mine regarding his availability or productivity on a per-target basis that you've refuted. The issue we are having here is that you are conflating two points. My point is (still) that lack of targets when he's on the field is the #1 reason for Sammy's relative lack of production in comparison to the other guys drafted in his class; injuries are not--they are a distant second. I did not once mention lack of targets as being the reason that they didn't pick up his option; you brought up his option, and I view it as an entirely separate point. It's very clear that they have concerns with regard to his recovery from the 2nd foot surgery, and that those concerns are the reason that they didn't pick up the 5th year option (which was a mistake IMO). Oh, and as to Andre Reed, he played in 6 more games than Sammy in his first 3 seasons, and had the benefit of playing with a HOF QB. Guess whose numbers are better over their first 3 seasons? -

I'm not going to definitively tell you either of those things...I will, however, tell you that either one of those things is true, or you simply cannot understand a very simple point that's being made. I'll give it one last shot... What I've said, repeatedly, in this thread and others, is that the biggest limiting factor in Sammy's relative lack of productivity is number of targets when he's on the field. If you can somehow interpret that to say that Sammy has zero accountability, well, that's your issue, since what I've also said repeatedly is that his lack of availability comes at a distant second. Someone that knows the game well would already understand that the number one predictor of WR productivity is quantity of targets; no other statistical correlation comes even close to the relevance of targets to receptions/yards. I've presented the data on this forum more times than I can count. If you'd like to argue that, then go for it. My point is that there's absolutely no excuse for Sammy averaging less than 8 targets per game for his career when OBJ and Mike Evans average over 10. The point becomes even more absurd in light of the consideration that in Watkins' only stretch of games where he did receive similar targets (the final 9 games of the 2015 season), he was the most productive WR in the NFL. Now, if you don't mind, try arguing the facts on merit as opposed to getting emotional and subsequently mis-representing the argument. -
Anquan Boldin Signs 1 Year Deal with the Bills Pg45

It wouldn't shock me at all if a team like SD, who may lose 7th overall pick Mike Williams for the season, got in on Boldin. Other teams with legit QBs that I could see being interested include Baltimore, Tennessee, NO, Carolina -

Yep...he absolutely abused Sean Smith and Eric Berry (and Ron Parker for that matter) time and again. If anything, Peters shut down Tyrod in the 2nd half. Playing press with obvious safety help totally moved Tyrod off of his willingness to chuck it up for Sammy. -

Your response typifies some fans' relative inability to remove emotion from the discussion and look only at the facts. Everyone gets nicked up and plays though injuries. Sammy's availability ratio is hardly out of whack for a #1 WR. Just look back at guys like Calvin Johnson and Julio Jones through 3 seasons. And yes, when he's been given the same targets as other #1 WRs, he out-performed them. Again, that's a fact, not an opinion. Two seasons ago, Sammy had a mere 96 targets in 13 starts. Julio, by contrast, had 200 in 15 starts. The biggest limitation on Sammy has been the team's reluctance to make him the primary focus of the passing game. -

I have no idea, because I can't see the future As to the idea that he's not going to stay healthy for 16 games, well, I'll believe it when I see it. -
Sourdough bread buttered on both sides and toasted on a flat top grill Thick homemade smoked bacon cooked crispy Medium rare ribeye cooked in the sous vide, seasoned with salt/pepper/rosemary, seared, and sliced thin Thin slices of watermelon coated liberally with tomato sauce, vacuum sealed, and cooked in the sous vide Dressing of 2 parts maple syrup to one part balsamic vinegar Assembly: Add a thin layer of dressing to one side of one slice of bread and top with half of the sliced ribeye. Top that with one watermelon "tomato" slice and then the bacon. Reverse the process on the way up. Eat, and then proceed to revel in your culinary brilliance.

Sammy to be 100% ready to go for Training Camp
thebandit27 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People are funny. Folks have no trouble trusting that he'll miss significant time despite the fact that he started 29 of a possible 32 games prior to last season. How about we apply "I'll believe it when I see it" to ALL scenarios, since it's all speculation at this point? -

People who call Sammy fragile simply don't recognize context when it comes to relative availability of WRs As I've said all along, if he's targeted like the #1 WR that he is, he'll be extremely productive. -
I've only been a season ticket holder since '87, so take that into account... The loudest I've ever heard that stadium was the comeback game. You literally couldn't hear the person next to you, which was astonishing considering that it wasn't a sell out and a good number of fans left at halftime. I'll also give a nod to the Dallas MNF game in 2007. When Jabari Greer knocked down the 2 pt conversion attempt, I swear you could feel the foundation shaking.

thebandit27 replied to Cheektavegas Charlie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Without hesitation I say that the answer is Jabari Greer The man was an undrafted FA that worked his way up to full time starter and was a bona fide #1 corner. This team made a critical error when they let him walk for $5.5M per year so that they could keep McGee at $7M per.
