  1. He hasn't missed a practice in TC. What, exactly, motivates your aversion to facts?
  2. I definitely recognize that it played a role I simply believe that it was still a bad decision
  3. I'll say that there definitely aren't 10 receivers in the NFL that I'd take ahead of him.
  4. The poster implies that he's somehow likely to miss far more time than he plays. Even in his most injury-plagued season, that's never been the case. People have gone off the deep end when it comes to this player. EDIT: sorry; I should make it clear that I don't mean you specifically when I say that some folks have gone off the deep end when it comes to Sammy The facts are simple: - He's NEVER missed more time in a season than he's played - When he receives a similar target share to players like Julio, Antonio, and OBJ, he's at least as productive - He's under 25 years old and would be an asset to any young QB that would come into this organization
  5. Posts like this make me wonder if some fans recognize any semblance of reality. In his most injury-plagued season, he started 8 games. Prior to 2016, he'd started 29/32 NFL games.
  6. Wasn't he a Bills' UDFA in 2013?
  7. I have a question for fans of this trade: Do we think that Belichick is unhappy that he has to game plan against Jordan Matthews/Zay Jones/Anquan Boldin instead of Watkins?
  8. No, Gaines lost his starting job to Kayvon Webster. The Rams' nickel corner is none other than Nickell Robey-Coleman.
  9. Darby, despite his drop in level of play, was a better player than Gaines last year. As to Matthews putting up similar numbers, well, the only year in which he met (or exceeded) Sammy's numbers was last year, and it took him 6 additional games to do so (in an offense that passed far, far more than Buffalo's). I'm sorry, but that's not close to an upgrade in either way. The only improvement is in draft capitol, which still requires the front office to get the right guys.
  10. It's a long thread Bill; accusing me of defending them on this trade is totally misdirected my good man. I'm super pissed about this one.
  11. No, not at all. What I've done is compare the entirety of the 2015 season for every receiver; you need to actually read the stuff. And the reason I focus on the 9-game stretch often is because (as you'd know if you took a second to read) it's the only stretch of his career during which he received anywhere close to the same number of targets as those guys. It's an issue of opportunity when on the field; not an issue of performance. Wrong time to trot out this argument considering that they also traded a corner for a WR
  12. Yes, you should've known to actually look at all the stats, not just cherry picking. Go back and read my response, then return and tell me why the vast majority of numbers fly in the face of your argument.
  13. Once again, you are incorrect here. Read this: https://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/194793-sammy-to-be-100-ready-to-go-for-training-camp/page-3?do=findComment&comment=4438607 He actually made more of his opportunities than the others on this list.
  14. That you're confused is a result of lack of consideration of context. He can't produce if they don't throw the ball to him. As I said, and maintain: If you want to say that he wasn't a fit here because they don't throw the ball enough, fine, I can at least accept that line of logic as being somewhat salient. To say that he hasn't produced when given his opportunities is patently false.
  15. Not like he played because he missed 13 of 48 games--does that not mean that he played in 35 of 48 games? Which is more--13 or 35?
  16. Can someone that's watched Gaines explain why a short-armed, small-bodied CB is a good fit? I really hope it's not just because he can tackle.
  17. That's easy: I was really happy when they actually targeted him in the passing game (i.e. the final 9 games of 2015) and he was the most productive WR in the NFL during that time. If you want to say that he wasn't a fit here because they don't throw the ball enough, fine, I can at least accept that line of logic as being somewhat salient. To say that he hasn't produced when given his opportunities is patently false.
  18. Neither of those things are true. Sammy is far, far more productive when targeted. It's actually not even close. Gaines is in no way a better fit than Darby--he's smaller and doesn't have the same coverage skill. He also lost his starting job to Kayvon Webster and has one less year on his deal.
  19. Nope. The folks that are upset realize that it's a terrible decision to trade away one of your two best offensive players when that player also happens to be under 25 years old.
  20. Hooray, Matthews can amass virtually the same number of yards and TDs as Sammy on 75 more targets
  21. Except for the 11 games that he did play last season
