  1. Remember, there's always the chance that the Raiders will trade Rodney Hudson since they hate their own players.
  2. Jason La Canfora‏Verified account @JasonLaCanfora 3h3 hours ago More Tyrell Williams remains, far and set away the best outside WR available on the FA market, and, to many evaluators, the only true starter at that spot. IND, CLE, NYJ, BUF among those linked to him. OAK was very much before landing AB.
  3. 4 months ago (December 3rd to be exact) I was told that there's a zero percent chance that Pittsburgh would trade AB...ya never know
  4. Explain your stance on this...by what metric did he "suck"?
  5. I'm not even sure why...I mean, without getting all high-and-mighty, if anyone on this board is justified in getting pissy over this trade it's me, and I'm not even upset about it. There's other guys out there; this just happened to be an opportunity to avoid the FA frenzy and land a great player on the cheap.
  6. It really all depends upon the deal that the guy signed. Even if it's technically a 3-year deal, it could be structured with so little guaranteed money that the player and his agent know they'll be back on the market quickly. Murphy's deal is like that: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/trent-murphy-14456/ Only $7.9M guaranteed, and over 50% of that came in the first year.
  7. Well, Rodak is wrong. Players LOVE being on the open market--it gives them a chance to pocket more guaranteed money.
  8. They only pick up $16M of his 2019 number, so if Gronk retires or restructures they can do it straight away.
  9. Yep...and Belichick isn't really interested in drafting and developing guys at this point. Still hoping that it doesn't come to pass though.
  10. I like it. Low-risk, high-reward.
  11. Dianna Russini‏Verified account @diannaESPN 2m2 minutes ago More Dianna Russini Retweeted Dan Graziano Sources I spoke with in Tampa Bay say they did not cut DeSean Jackson.
  12. You guys know that the tweet was posted by a Patriots beat reporter, right?
  13. I was more pointing out that the "bird in the hand" principle applies to trades
  14. Yes, we certainly could strike out in FA...wouldn't it be great if some team were willing to deal a former 1st-team all-pro OG to an AFC East team for peanuts, thereby protecting the team from potentially striking out at the guard position?
  15. Josina Anderson is fairly tied into the Bills' organization. Her and Alex Marvez seem to be 100% when they report Bills' news.
  16. Apply this thinking to every single UFA. Guys hit the market for a LOT of reasons. I'm 100% certain that he's on the market because of his age. Now drop the straw man argument, since I don't recall saying that he was "amazing". My post read: "I'm fine with it...he'd be a decent RB2 and a stabilizing locker room presence for a team that's got a clear leadership void--especially on the offensive side of the ball." Feel free to disagree, but try to be sensible about it.
  17. Ah. I forgot that age is what determines wins and losses. Here I am thinking that performance matters.
  18. Long started 28 games at center for Washington and 20 at guard. The Jets signed him as a center.
  19. This does not support the title of the thread.

  21. Dude averaged 4.6 YPC last year
  22. I'm fine with it...he'd be a decent RB2 and a stabilizing locker room presence for a team that's got a clear leadership void--especially on the offensive side of the ball.
